Kyler Preston Selected as North Central Missouri College's Outstanding Student Photo and write up submitted by NCMC
Kyler Preston, from Gilman City, MO, has been selected as North Central Missouri College's Outstanding Student for September. He is a Missouri A+ scholarship student pursuing his associate in arts degree with an emphasis in sports management and plans to graduate in May. At NCMC, Kyler is a student ambassador and a
tutor at the Tutoring Center. His favorite class is Intro to Sports Management with Instructor Ryan Suttenfield. Kyler said, “I really enjoyed the class and learned a lot. It’s what I want to go into, so it was interesting to me.” Kyler chose NCMC because it is affordable and close to home. His favorite things about NCMC are the
THS Homecoming Activities Planning is currently underway for the 2024 Homecoming at Trenton High School. Homecoming week will be Monday, Sept. 23 - Friday, Sept.27. The theme this year will be will be Disco Denim. The community Pep Rally will be held at C.F. Russell on Wednesday, Sept. 25th at 7 p.m. Community businesses are encouraged to email Greg Dalrymple at gdalrymple@trentonr9.k12.mo.us if they want to participate in the parade or
decorate their businesses for Homecoming. The Homecoming Dance for the THS student body will be after the game until 11 p.m. Keep checking here for pictures of 2024 Homecoming attendants and king and queen candidates. We will also announce the parade route, grand marshall, community pep rally guest speaker, and order of events for the Homecoming game against South Harrison on the 27th.
Back in Time II Presented by Gallatin Theatre League The Gallatin Theater League is set to bring a unique performance to the Courter Theater of Gallatin on September 21. The theater organization explains that the “Back in Time II” production tells the story of Dorothy, who finds herself crossing a space-time continuum after being caught in a storm. This unexpected journey lands her in the present-day Courter Theater, where she encounters a mad scientist
and his time machine, along with several other musical characters. Together, they guide Dorothy through time, helping her return home while teaching her valuable lessons about what is truly important in life. Tickets for general admission will be available at the door for $5. “Back in Time II” will have three showings at 10:30 a.m., noon, and 1:30 p.m.

Women in Nature Weekend Crowder State Park, located west of Trenton, Missouri, will host a special weekend event for women who would like to learn new skills. The women only event will also, have only female instructors. The event, titled “ Women in Nature,” will take place at Camp Grand River from October 4 through October 6. Accommodations for the event include cabins at Camp Grand River. Participants are also welcome to bring tents for camping. Space for the event is limited and only open to a maximum of 40 participants. Attendees must be at least 10

Celebrities Versus Trenton Heroes Ballgame The "Celebrities" vs the Trenton Heroes will play each other Saturday, September 14 at Ebbie Sports Center -- Griffin Field. Opening ceremonies at 6:00 PM, with one game to follow. The concession stand opens at 5:30 PM with grilled hot dogs, chili cheese dogs, nachos/ cheese, cookies,
brownies, and drinks. Sam Day has donated a couple of baskets of homemade items to be auctioned. This is an annual event--this being our 14th year (with two cancelled through the years). Please come and help support this group-they look forward to this game every year.
