Honesberie Festival Nick H ollick ~ Founde r I’m delighted to welcome you all to the Honesberie Festival on Saturday 19th September. We’ve put together a fantastic day that really showcases what Honesberie is all about - great shooting, good company and a genuine love of the countryside. Whether you’re an experienced shot, completely new to shooting, a country sports enthusiast, or simply looking for a great day out with the family, there will be plenty to enjoy. From have-a-go shooting and competitions to leading gun brands, local traders, live music, great food and drink, there’s something for everyone. Best of all, entry is completely free, so come along, bring the family and enjoy the day with us.
Arriving at the Venue Finding Us Honesberie is located along the Hardwick road between Priors Hardwick and Priors Marston. You will turn down a long drive way which leads you through an open green security gate and onto a farm. Please follow the Honesberie signage through the farm (making sure to drive slowly) and onto a gravel driveway which leads to Honesberie Shooting School. Upon arriving a parking steward will greet you, provide you with a wristband and guide you as to where best park. Shooting Tokens If you plan on shooting the have-a-go stands (self-caddy stands are separate) then you must purchase your tokens from the front desk in the club house. Wheelchair Accessibility The clubhouse is accessible for wheelchair and mobility scooter users by the right hand side of the building. A shuttle to the shooting stands is also available via request-please speak to a member of staff. Please be aware that whilst adjustments have been made to make the site more accessible, most of the grounds are grass/gravel and therefore not wheelchair suitable.
Activities Have-a-go shooting We will be offering a range of shooting activities including, Clay, Air Rifle, Archery and Crossbows. These are £10 a go for clays and £5 for crossbows, air rifles and pistols. Rifle Range Sessions The Rifle Range is available by pre-booking only and is £49 per person (25 shots) with 4 people per hour (visitors may be grouped with others to make up the full 4). Shooting Competitions 25 Clay Compak - £15 entry A 25-target Compak Sporting competition is shot from five stands, with each shooter taking five targets per stand from a set of predetermined trajectories. Targets can be singles or doubles, and the winner is the shooter who breaks the most targets out of 25, with shoot-offs used to settle ties where required. You may only enter one category/class but can do so as many times as you like. Open Class: 1st place = Gamebore Cartridges 2nd place = Magnum of Foxdenton Gin 3rd place = Honesberie Gin Colts (Under 18): 1st place = Gamebore Cartridges Ladies: 1st place prize = 2 x Ladies Day Vouchers Veteran (Over 55): 1st place prize = Magnum of Foxdenton Gin Charity Air Rifle Sharpshooter - £5 (All proceeds go to the air ambulance) The air rifle sharpshooter competition involves competitors firing 14 shots at 6 reactive targets from a fixed distance and shooting position. Fastest score wins. This is included in your air rifle have-a-go but guests do not have to participate in the competition aspect. 1st place = 10 x Lane hire voucher
Filming and Photography
Please be advised that filming and photography will be taking place at Honesberie Shooting Grounds, during the Family Fun Day 2026, this could be in and around the clubhouse, car park and shooting range. If you do not wish to appear in any images captured please inform someone at front desk (located in the clubhouse) so that we can take appropriate steps to ensure you are not included. The photographs/film could potentially be included in Honesberie publications or in Honebserie promotional materials in the future and may also be published on the Honesberie website.
Important Reminders Dogs Your four-legged friends must be kept under control and must be kept on a lead at all times on all parts of the shooting ground with an ID tag displaying a contact number. Please clean up after your dog and dispose of waste in the provided bins. Dogs are not to be left in vehicles in warm weather. Disclaimer of Liability Save for death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers, Honesberie shooting do not accept any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to participants, spectators, land or any other person or property whatsoever. Emergencies, First Aid and PPE When walking anywhere along the shooting path (marked by the black line on site map), we strongly advise guests to wear head and ear protection. When shooting guests must wear head, ear and eye protection (Honesberie are able to supply these) . Emergency first aid can be contacted through any Honesberie Official, who will be recognisable through their Honesberie Uniform. First Aid Kits can be found in the clubhouse, please ask a member of staff if you require assistance. Alcohol Policy Under no circumstances are guests to consume alcohol prior to shooting activities. Post shooting activities alcohol can be purchased from our bar.
