Real Estate Investment Trusts Holland & Knight's Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) Team comprises corporate, securities, real estate and tax attorneys who work together to provide seamless service to our clients. Represented a REIT in connection with the internal restructuring of its hospitality portfolio, the $1.1 billion disposition of a 52-hotel portfolio, and the spinoff and public listing of an upscale portfolio of 50 hotels with an asset value of more than $3.5 billion Represented a publicly traded REIT in connection with its negotiations with the borrower and the mezzanine lender for the restructuring of the REIT's mortgage loan, which was secured by a leasehold interest on a partially constructed condominium tower, originally intended to be the first phase of a multiphase project to be developed by affiliates of the borrower

Represented a publicly traded REIT in the $165 million commercial mortgage-backed security (CMBS) financing of a 90-property retail portfolio

Represented a publicly traded healthcare REIT in ground leasing land for development of a medical office building to be primarily leased to a ground landlord (hospital system) in Georgia

Represented a REIT in connection with the due diligence for a prospective acquisition of a medical office portfolio during the bid process that ultimately sold for $2.8 billion

Represented a publicly traded REIT in the $70.35 million acquisition of a 138,000-squarefoot office building located in Florida and leased to the U.S. federal government
