Our Track Record: Recent Notable Deals
• Represented the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority (PREPA), Government Development Bank for Puerto Rico and Office of the Governor of Puerto Rico on regulatory issues in connection with the development of the proposed Via Verde Natural Gas Pipeline Project and proposed conversion of PREPA’s electric generation plants from oil-based fuels to natural gas, as well as the proposed importation of liquefied natural gas to the island, including on issues arising under the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act, National Environmental Policy Act, National Historic Preservation Act, Natural Gas Act and Jones Act
• Represented a major U.S. independent power producer in the development and financing of a solar project in Puerto Rico, the first completed with U.S. tax equity financing
• Advised the lender on a $15 million refinancing of combined 73-megawatt solar photovoltaic plants owned by Sonnedix, a global independent power producer
• Represented a leading bank in Puerto Rico with various corporate and project financings and regulatory matters
