There is an unmistakable force in a woman who carries herself with confidence, elegance, and purpose. She does not seek permission to lead, nor does she dim her light to make others feel comfortable. She knows her worth, honors her journey, and moves through life with a presence that commands respect without ever needing to demand it. This special issue is dedicated to those extraordinary women—women whose influence is felt not only in businesses, projects, and philanthropic circles, but also in the very fabric of the communities they help transform.

In South Florida, we are surrounded by women of remarkable substance and style: visionaries, entrepreneurs, mothers, leaders, and changemakers who embody an exceptional balance of power and grace. Each of the women featured in these pages has distinguished herself in her own way, bringing not only accomplishment, but also character, depth, and legacy to everything she touches. And among these selected women, I have chosen to include, with special pride, my mother, Nancy Esteves—a woman whose strength, presence, and unbreakable spirit have always made her a true force. At Hola Latinos Magazine, we are honored to celebrate these women not only for their success, but for the elegance, resilience, and quiet power with which they continue to inspire the world around them.

This issue is our tribute to women who lead beautifully, live purposefully, and leave a lasting impression wherever they go.

Mike and Margaret Eidson’s Vision and Passion is Transforming Coral Gables Cultural Scene

n the heart of Coral Gables, the Sanctuary of the Arts at the First Church of Christ Scientist has quickly emerged as one of South Florida’s most dynamic cultural spaces. Housed within beautifully restored historic church buildings originally designed by renowned Coral Gables architect Phineas Paist, the nonprofit institution has transformed these architectural landmarks into vibrant venues for music, dance, theater, and educational programs.

Since opening its doors a few years ago, the Sanctuary has become a gathering place for artists, students, and audiences alike—hosting over 75 performances each year and fostering a creative environment that celebrates collaboration and accessibility in the arts. The venue has also hosted important civic and cultural gatherings, including Coral Gables Community Foundation events and State of the Arts Foundation dinners, which bring together leaders and advocates of the local arts community.

In recent years, the Sanctuary of the Arts has gained remarkable recognition within Miami-Dade’s cultural landscape. Local arts leaders have begun to regard it as one of the county’s most significant cultural venues, often mentioned alongside major institutions such as the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts and the Fillmore Miami Beach at the Jackie Gleason Theater. In fact, we are called weekly by arts organizations across the country and in South America, asking what we are about and how we do what they do for the arts.

Behind this vision are Mike Eidson, a Coral Gables attorney, preservationist, and longtime leader in the arts, and his wife, Dr. Margaret Eidson, who are passionate about the performing arts. With decades of involvement in Miami’s cultural institutions, including leadership roles with the Miami City Ballet, the Adrienne Arsht Center, Miami Chamber Music Society, and others, Eidson set out to create a more intimate, community-centered venue where artists could thrive, and audiences could experience performances up close. Together with principal managing director Rafi Maldonado-Lopez, Eidson has helped shape the Sanctuary of the Arts into a unique cultural hub that continues to expand its reach through performances, education, and community engagement.

Mike, tell us how the Sanctuary of the Arts began. What inspired you to create it?

Mike Eidson: I’ve been involved in performing arts in Miami-Dade for many years. I served as president and chairman of the board of the Miami City Ballet for 9 years and as chairman of the Trust Board of Directors of the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts for 5 years. Through those experiences, I realized that while we had large cultural institutions, there was still a need for more intimate, accessible spaces where artists could receive education, perform, and collaborate with other institutions. In addition, these spaces could be used for community events, many of which supported the arts. Rafi and I felt that the arts organizations in Coral Gables would benefit from working together more efficiently for the artists and the people of the city. We were not surprised that our theaters and other spaces would quickly become a home for dozens of performing arts institutions throughout Miami-Dade County and that we would find an international dance school and perform in Mexico and throughout South America.

Around 2018 I discovered the historic First Church of Christ, Scientist building in Coral Gables located at 410 Andalucia Avenue across the street from the City Hall. It had been designed by architect Phineas Paist, who also designed Venetian Pool, the Douglas Entrance, Coral Gables City Hall and many more of the original buildings in the city one hundred years ago. I spoke with experts about converting the church property into two theaters and rehearsal spaces; they told me it could be done, but it would take hard work and significant investment. Margaret and I believed there was a real need for preservation and performance spaces, so we decided to move forward and we worked out a deal with the Church to convert and operate the buildings for the performing arts.

The Sanctuary now includes several historic spaces. How did the project evolve?

Mike Eidson: What began as a single restoration grew into something larger. We now work with three historic church buildings in Coral Gables that serve as spaces for performances, rehearsals, and education. One building became a 320-seat theater, another is used for rehearsals and concerts, and the third supports educational and community programs.

We had bought and restored St. Mary’s Missionary Baptist Church, a historic Black church founded in 1924 that once had more than 1,500 members and played an important role during the civil rights era. When it fell into difficult times, we stepped in to preserve it and transform it into another Sanctuary space for cultural and educational programming.

The Sanctuary has grown rapidly in just a few years. What kinds of programs take place there today?

Mike Eidson: The Sanctuary presents a wide range of performances including dance, theater, concerts, jazz, and literary events. We collaborate with organizations like Books & Books and have hosted renowned speakers such as Pulitzer Prize-winning historian Ada Ferrer and premiered famed documentary producer Ken Burns’s new film about the holocaust for example. We have presented some of the most famous performers in the world such as violinist Joshua Bell, Nestor Torres, Aymee Nuviola, many other Grammy winners, The Cleveland Orchestra chamber music and the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields Chamber Orchestra from London. We also work with organizations such as Miami City Ballet and New World Symphony and help many local charities such as Nicklaus Hospital and Make-A-Wish. We regularly work with nonprofits to help present their programs on our campus.

Today we present up to 75 shows and events per year and welcome roughly 25,000 patrons annually. The Sanctuary has become a lively creative center where artists and audiences connect regularly. Hardly a day goes by when something is not happening in one or more of our theaters and rehearsal studios.

Mr. Maldonado created the Inter-American Choreographic Institute at the Sanctuary which presents Men Who Dance, the largest all male dance program in the world, each year in Fort Lauderdale at the Broward Performing Arts Center. Last year MWD presented 16 performances by over 45 dancers from 14 countries, many such as Miami City Ballet and Dimensions that are located in South Florida. In the past five years, we have had 30 dancers come through our school, perform on our stages, and go into professional programs across the world, as far away as Berlin, Hamburg, and the Americas. The Institute’s mission is to create, expand and support artistic ventures that reflect cultural paradigms and consciousness of the Americas. Our Choreographic Ensemble Training Program prepares students from across the Americas to audition into professional dance companies in all forms of dance and choreography. The Ensemble regularly performs concerts at the Sanctuary as part of their training process.

Mr. Maldonado also created and produced Carnival of the Animals, a full-length ballet, which has been presented at the Sanctuary and at the Adrienne Arsht Center. Last year Mr. Maldonado presented Carnival of the Animals twenty-three times to sold out audiences in Mexico City.

Dance appears to be a central part of the Sanctuary’s mission.

Mike Eidson: Absolutely. When we opened, there really wasn’t much dance happening in Coral Gables. Now we host professional performances, educational programs, and training for young dancers. Our faculty includes world-class instructors, and we currently support dancers from different countries who come to train and perform here. We present more dance companies and performances than anywhere else in Miami, more than 25 dance performances a year. Of course, with dance professionals like legendary Brazilian teacher and choreographer Alice Arja, and the brilliant dance teacher and choreographer Rafi Maldonado-Lopez and others, we have an internationally acclaimed dance program.

Q: Education seems to be a major priority for the Sanctuary.

Mike Eidson: Education is essential to what we do. We partner with schools and universities including FIU, the University of Miami, Carver Elementary School, Tucker Elementary School, Armour Dance Theater, Miami City Ballet and many others. We dedicate weeks to dance education and performances, and our International Dance Program is active throughout the year.

Our goal is not only to present performances but also to inspire the next generation of artists and creative thinkers in all forms of the performing arts

What makes the Sanctuary experience different from larger venues?

Mike Eidson: The biggest differences are the intimacy of our theater and educational spaces and our close collaboration with arts institutions throughout Miami. Our theater is designed so that audiences feel completely immersed in the performance. For example, the back row is only thirty feet or so from the front of the stage, so you’re always close to the stage, and the audience becomes practically one with the artists performing.

The acoustics are exceptional, and the experience feels personal. People often say they feel like they are part of the performance rather than simply watching it.

We are affordable, and parking is inexpensive and close to the theater. We have several dozen resident companies that would not be able to perform in larger theaters and provide outstanding, challenging concerts for our community.

Another thing about our theaters is that they are 100 years old, incredibly beautiful, and have been an important part of Coral Gables since it was founded by the great George Merrick. Margaret and I are very proud to have helped preserve the properties and repurpose them for the performing arts.

You also have a special upcoming performance featuring the Miami City Ballet Orchestra.

Mike Eidson: Yes, we’re very excited about it. The Miami City Ballet Orchestra traditionally plays in the orchestra pit, but we invited them to perform on stage at the Sanctuary. This is the first time the great orchestra will ever perform on stage where the orchestra is featured rather than the dance company. The program will feature beautiful classical ballet music, including selections from the great composers Tchaikovsky, Bizet, Barber, Borodin and Prokofiev, covering a musical period of 100 years We will also present two outstanding ballets choreographed by Mr. Maldonado and Alice Arja and Pontus Lidberg, as part of the program.

We’ll present three performances over one weekend and invite hundreds of dance students to attend rehearsals so they can experience this wonderful dance and musical program.

What is your long-term vision for the Sanctuary of the Arts?

Mike Eidson: Our goal is to create a collaborative environment where artists can thrive, a true sanctuary for artists to learn, create and perform and where audiences will be entertained and feel welcome. We have built a creative ecosystem that supports performers, educators, and cultural organizations while preserving the architectural heritage of Coral Gables.

At its heart, the Sanctuary is about community. It’s about bringing people together through the arts.

¿Cuáles han sido algunos de los momentos más significativos o transformadores que has vivido como madre?

Por encima de todo, uno de mis mayores orgullos como madre es que uno de mis hijos ha decidido trabajar conmigo y compartir hoy mi pasión por el sector inmobiliario. Me siento profundamente orgullosa de mis dos hijos, Ryan y Todd Rubin, así como de mi nuera, Jessica, y de mi nieto, Bradley, de 5 años. If success once meant reaching milestones, today it means sustaining that level of excellence and leaving a lasting mark on the industry.

What have been some of the most meaningful or defining moments of motherhood for you?

Above all, one of my greatest joys as a mother is that one of my sons chose to work with me and now shares my passion for real estate. I am deeply proud of my two sons, Ryan and Todd Rubin, as well as my daughter-in-law, Jessica, and my 5-year-old grandson, Bradley. And of course, I am also a proud dog mom to my teacup Yorkie, Mercedes, and my Maltese, Star.

Looking back, what first sparked your ambition—and was there a defining moment that truly shaped the path you’re on today?

Inspired by leaders like Tony Robbins, I have made personal growth a constant priority: reading his work, attending seminars, and even walking on fire—an experience that was as intense as it was transformative. ¿Qué representa hoy esta etapa de tu vida?

M: Soy una mujer que ha aprendido a abrazar su historia. Soy resultado de decisiones valientes, caídas dolorosas y una fortaleza interior que apareció cuando sentía que no me quedaba nada. Entendí que el verdadero poder no está solo en lo que logramos, sino en lo que somos capaces de transformar. Como CEO de una compañía de logística y directora de la Cámara, asumo un rol activo en una comunidad empresarial más conectada, colaborativa y global. Paralelamente, me consolidé como consultora internacional, acompañando a empresas y emprendedores en su soft landing en Estados Unidos.

¿Qué logros te enorgullecen más y qué significan hoy para ti?

M: Uno de los reconocimientos más significativos de mi carrera ha sido recibir el International Women’s Day Award – Entrepreneurial Excellence del World Trade Center Miami, un honor que habla no solo del crecimiento empresarial, sino del impacto global y del compromiso con la comunidad. También he sido reconocida con los Latin Business Awards 2025, Mujeres que Transforman Florida y Profiles of Success. ¿Cómo defines hoy el éxito y en qué se diferencia de lo que antes creías?

M: Antes pensaba que el éxito consistía en alcanzar algo. Hoy entiendo que tiene más que ver con cómo elegimos vivir: la paz de estar alineada conmigo misma, la capacidad de elegir, sentir coherencia y construir algo más allá de lo material. Hoy, el éxito es ver crecer a los demás, abrir puertas, crear oportunidades y acompañar procesos. También es impulsar, desde la Cámara, una visión más moderna e inclusiva del ecosistema empresarial argentino-americano. Es saber que mi camino nunca fue solo para mí. Es legado.

Ser mamá

¿Qué momentos de la maternidad te han marcado más?

M: Rodrigo y Macarena no son solo mis hijos; también me formaron. Hubo momentos en los que no sabía cómo seguir adelante y seguí por ellos. Hubo días en los que el cansancio era inmenso y aun así me levanté, porque sabía que me estaban mirando. Me enseñaron que el amor no es solo un sentimiento, sino una decisión diaria; a ser fuerte y también a permitirme ser vulnerable. Entendí algo muy profundo: no solo los estaba criando a ellos; ellos también me estaban formando a mí. Convertirme en madre transformó profundamente a la mujer que soy hoy.

El camino y el punto de inflexión

¿Qué despertó tu ambición y cuál fue el punto de inflexión?

M: Emigrar no fue simplemente una decisión; fue una declaración. Siempre quise crecer, avanzar e ir por más, pero el verdadero punto de inflexión fue dejar mi país. Llegar a Estados Unidos y comenzar desde cero, sin garantías, fue un acto de fe. Ahí entendí que no había red de seguridad, pero sí una decisión clara: seguir adelante. Ese momento me cambió para siempre. Con el tiempo comprendí que todo lo vivido se convirtió en valor, experiencia y algo que hoy puedo ofrecer a otros, porque también acompaño a otros a transitarlo.

¿Qué significa para ti el empoderamiento hoy?

M: Para mí, el empoderamiento es entender que el crecimiento no vale de nada si no se comparte. Sé lo que significa llegar sola y no tener a nadie que te explique cómo funcionan las cosas o te abra una puerta. Por eso fundé Mujeres Latinas Unidas – Redes sin Fronteras, desde la experiencia personal, una necesidad real y un amor profundo por esta comunidad. También soy la creadora de Mujeres Argentinas de Florida, una comunidad que desde hace más de una década conecta, apoya y visibiliza a mujeres argentinas que viven fuera de su país. Desde mi rol en la Cámara, trabajo cada día para construir puentes entre países, empresas e historias. No elegí un camino fácil… elegí un camino con propósito, para que otros no tuvieran que recorrerlo solos.

How do you define success today, and how is it different from what you once believed?

M: I used to think success was about reaching something. Today, I understand that it has more to do with how we choose to live: the peace of being aligned with myself, the ability to choose, feel coherence, and build something beyond the material. Today, success is watching others grow, opening doors, creating opportunities, and guiding processes. It is also promoting, through the Chamber, a more modern and inclusive vision of the Argentine-American business ecosystem. It is knowing my path was never meant only for me. It is legacy.

Which moments of motherhood have shaped you most?

M: Rodrigo and Macarena are not just my children; they also shaped me. There were moments when I did not know how to keep going, and I kept going because of them. There were days when the exhaustion was overwhelming and I still got up, because I knew they were watching me. They taught me that love is not just a feeling, but a daily decision; to be strong and also allow myself to be vulnerable. I understood something very deep: I was not only raising them; they were also shaping me. Becoming a mother profoundly transformed the woman I am today.

What first sparked your ambition, and what was the turning point?

M: Immigrating was not simply a decision; it was a declaration. I always wanted to grow, move forward, and reach for more, but the real turning point was leaving my country. Arriving in the United States and starting from zero, with no guarantees, was an act of faith. That is when I understood there was no safety net, but one clear decision: move forward. That moment changed me forever. In time, I understood that everything I lived through became value, experience, and something I can now offer to others, because I also help others move through it.

What does empowerment mean to you today?

M: For me, empowerment means understanding that growth means nothing if it is not shared. I know what it means to arrive alone and have no one explain how things work or open a door for you. That is why I founded Mujeres Latinas Unidas – Redes sin Fronteras, from personal experience, real need, and a deep love for this community. I am also the creator of Mujeres Argentinas de Florida, a community that for more than a decade connects, supports, and uplifts Argentine women living abroad. Through my role at the Chamber, I work every day to build bridges between countries, companies, and stories. Estoy muy orgullosa de la mujer que soy hoy porque la vida me ha llevado por caminos con muchos obstáculos, tanto en mi negocio como en la vida privada, pero siempre los superé, busqué el lado positivo de ellos y hasta aprendí que para triunfar se necesita mucho sacrificio y esfuerzo para lograr nuestras metas y sueños. Nada que se da fácil viene para quedarse.

¿Cuáles son los que más te enorgullecen y qué significado tienen para ti en esta etapa?

Creo que mi logro más grande ha sido cumplir el sueño americano, tan anhelado por todos nosotros los latinos. Tener mi propio negocio, mi casa paga y los estudios de mi hija. Algo tan sencillo, pero a la vez lleno de sacrificio y constancia.

En este punto de tu vida, ¿cómo defines hoy el éxito, ¿Cómo se siente y en qué se diferencia de lo que alguna vez creíste?

Una palabra sencilla pero llena de significado. Para mí, el éxito siempre viene acompañado de mucha disciplina y persistencia. Puede ser muy fugaz y frágil; por eso, aun cuando sentimos que estamos en la cima de este, es cuando más debemos esforzarnos.

Ser mamá

¿Cuáles han sido algunos de los momentos más significativos o transformadores que has vivido como madre?

La maternidad, para mí, es un regalo divino. No puedo decir que mi mejor momento fue solo un día, como ver a mi hija graduarse o actuar en una obra de teatro enfrente de cientos de personas o tan solo cantar para mí. Mi maternidad la siento todos los días cuando me despierto y veo lo bendecida que he sido con mi hija. Saber que está saludable, que tiene buenos valores familiares y que cree en Dios. Ese es mi mejor regalo e inspiración para seguir adelante. ¡La educación de los hijos viene de la mano de la familia!

Mirando hacia atrás, ¿qué despertó inicialmente tu ambición y qué fue decisivo para marcar el rumbo hacia donde estás hoy?

¡Mujeres emprendedoras somos aquellas con visión y carisma que siempre llegamos a la cima del éxito, y no por casualidad, sino por consistencia, trabajo arduo, perseverancia; y si nos caemos en el proceso, nos levantamos con más fuerzas, ¡pero nunca nos vamos a dar por vencidas!

En una sola palabra, ¿qué significa para

ti el empoderamiento hoy?

Pues, principalmente, haber nacido y vivido mi niñez y pubertad en un país sin libertad, con una falta inimaginable de recursos humanos. Por eso, desde que llegué a este bello país que amo con todo mi corazón, decidí ser todo lo que no pude ser en mi propio país y darle a mi hija todas las oportunidades que yo no tuve. ¡Mi hija fue mi inspiración!

D: I am very proud of the Woman I am today because life has taken me down paths with many obstacles, both in my business and private life, but I always overcame them, I looked for the positive side of them, and even learned that to succeed it takes a lot of sacrifice and effort to achieve our goals and dreams. Nothing that is easy stays.

D: I believe my greatest achievement has been to fulfill the American dream, so longed for by all of us Latinos. Owning my business, having a paid-off house, and covering my daughter's education. Something so simple, but at the same time full of much sacrifice and perseverance.

Success, a simple word but full of meaning. For me, success always comes with discipline and persistence. It can be very fleeting and fragile, so even when we feel that we are at the top of it, it is when we must try the most.

What have been some of the most meaningful or defining moments of motherhood for you?

Motherhood is a divine gift from God. I can't say my best moment was just one day, like seeing my daughter graduate, acting in a play in front of hundreds of people, or singing the national anthem for me. I feel my motherhood every day when I wake up and see how blessed I am to have my daughter. Know that she is healthy, that you have taught good family values, and that she believes in God. That's my best gift and inspiration to move forward. The education of the children always comes from the family!

Looking back, what first sparked your ambition—and was there a defining moment that truly shaped the path you’re on today?

Well, mainly because I was born and spent my childhood and puberty in a country without freedom, with an unimaginable lack of human resources. That's why, since I arrived in this beautiful country that I love with all my heart, I decided to be everything I couldn't be in my own country and give my daughter all the opportunities I didn't have. My daughter was my inspiration!

What does empowerment mean to you?

Empowered women are those with vision and charisma who always reach the peak of success, not by chance, but through consistency, hard work, perseverance, and if we fall in the process, we get up quickly and with more strength, but we never give up!!!

Una mujer líder auténtica no intenta imitar; vive alineada con quien es. Ya no lidera desde la validación externa, sino desde su identidad. Sabe quién es, qué lleva sobre sus hombros y qué representa. No compite: construye. No se adapta para encajar: eleva el estándar. Confía en sí misma y en sus decisiones, incluso cuando resultan incómodas. Hoy, la autenticidad no es debilidad, sino dirección. ¿Cuál ha sido el mayor desafío como mujer en liderazgo y cómo lo transformaste en fortaleza?

Primero entendí que el equilibrio no es automático: es intencional.

An authentic woman leader is not trying to imitate anyone; she is aligned with who she is. She no longer leads from a need for external validation, but from a strong sense of identity

She knows who she is, what she carries, and what she represents. She does not compete; she builds. She does not adjust herself just to fit in; she raises the standard. She is confident in herself and in her decisions, even when those decisions are uncomfortable.

Today, authenticity is not weakness; it is direction. When a woman is clear about her identity, her leadership is no longer optional. She earns her place in important spaces through her ability, her wisdom, and her capacity to work with others.

What has been your greatest challenge as a woman in leadership, and how did you turn it into strength?

Learning not to make myself smaller in order to be accepted.

In many spaces, especially at high levels of leadership, there is a silent pressure: “Don’t be so strong.” “Don’t be so direct.” “Don’t make people uncomfortable.”

And I came to understand something very clearly: what makes people uncomfortable is not your leadership, but their lack of familiarity with seeing it in a woman.

My strength came from no longer asking for permission. From no longer softening my voice to make others feel comfortable. I lead to build, to elevate, and to deliver results.

How do you balance professional demands with personal well-being without losing your essence?

First, I understood that balance does not happen automatically; it must be intentional. For years, like many leaders, I operated under constant pressure: to produce, to solve, to sustain. But there comes a point when, if you do not learn how to manage yourself, you lose yourself. Success without health is not success. Productivity without peace has an expiration date. Today, I live by a different kind of discipline: I include myself in my own schedule. I protect my time, my thoughts, and my energy. Because if I am not well, nothing I lead can be sustained the right way. Leadership begins with leading yourself first.

What message would you give to the next generation of women who doubt their voice or their place?

Do not wait until you feel ready, because confidence does not come before action; it comes after you answer the call.

Your voice is not an accident.

You are not your past. Your story is your platform, not your prison.

Your presence at that table is part of your purpose.

Si estás buscando una escapada de bienestar verdaderamente indulgente para celebrar el Día de las Madres, tengo un lugar maravilloso que te recomiendo. Hürrem Hammam Wellness & Spa trae a South Florida los rituales atemporales del Imperio Otomano. Ubicado en North Miami Beach, este spa único y extraordinario me transportó a la tradición centenaria del hammam turco, una experiencia diseñada para limpiar, restaurar y rejuvenecer tanto el cuerpo como el espíritu. Incluso puedes adquirir un pase de día y disfrutar de una jornada fabulosa y muy necesaria para desconectarte y desintoxicarte del ritmo acelerado de la vida digital.

Con casi 20,000 pies cuadrados, el spa es un verdadero santuario de mármol, vapor y suave iluminación ambiental, inspirado en los majestuosos baños tradicionales de Estambul. Hürrem Hammam Wellness & Spa brings the timeless rituals of the Ottoman Empire to South Florida. Located in North Miami Beach, this unique and extraordinary spa transported me into the centuries-old tradition of the Turkish hammam—an experience designed to cleanse, restore, and rejuvenate both body and spirit. You can purchase a day pass and spend a fabulous, much-needed day detoxing from digital life.

Spanning nearly 20,000 square feet, the spa is a sanctuary of marble, steam, and soft ambient light, inspired by Istanbul's grand bathhouses. At the heart of my visit was the traditional hammam ritual, where I relaxed on warm marble slabs beneath gentle steam before beginning the signature Kese body exfoliation—a centuries-old cleansing ritual that is both invigorating and deeply purifying.

A trained hammam attendant performed the Kese treatment, using a special textured mitt to gently exfoliate my skin, removing impurities and revealing a fresh, luminous glow. Next came the iconic foam massage— clouds of soft, fragrant soap bubbles were poured over my body and massaged into my skin, creating a soothing, almost weightless sensation. The combination of heat, exfoliation, and foam massage stimulated my circulation, detoxified my skin, and left me feeling incredibly refreshed and renewed. It’s a unique experience that everyone should try.

Beyond the hammam rituals, I explored an extensive collection of wellness experiences, including hydrotherapy pools, saunas, steam rooms, and a Himalayan salt room designed to enhance respiratory wellness and relaxation. Not a fan of cold water, I even tried contrast therapy in the spa’s invigorating ice igloo, which really made me feel great after and made a huge difference in my energy and helped my inflammation.

To complement the experience, and because I’m such a foodie, I tried the spa’s Mediterranean-inspired restaurant Topkapi, where light, fresh cuisine and beautifully presented dishes were served. The menu features delicious, freshly prepared Mediterranean and Turkish specialties, refreshing salads, and a variety of appetizers. I had a phenomenal seafood lunch, bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. It was the perfect way to end my relaxing day.

Originally planned at the development site, the gathering was moved due to weather to The Salty Flame at 1414 Brickell Avenue, where guests enjoyed an intimate presentation with live Spanish music and dance and received the latest project updates in a more private setting.

The development has now officially reached its fourth floor of vertical construction. Local officials, distinguished guests, and leading brokers were among those in attendance as the team shared the project’s advancement and offered a look at the next phases of development.

Meliá Residences Miami marks the return of the iconic Spanish hospitality brand to the city, introducing its first hotel-branded residential concept in North America. The project will feature 110 residences, wellness-driven amenities, and interiors by Adriana Hoyos Design Studio.
