Los venezolanos enfrentan la mayor dificultad económica mundial, afectados por devastadores desequilibrios que incluyen un elevado desempleo, una aguda escasez, altas tasas de interés y, principalmente, la mayor tasa de inflación del mundo. Según el Índice de Penuria (Misery Index), Venezuela ocupó en el 2013 el primer lugar en la lista de tribulaciones económicas, superando con 79.4 puntos a los 61.6 puntos que registró Irán, en segundo lugar, y le sigue Serbia con 44 puntos. Los analistas dicen que la inflación real es casi tres veces más alta que la oficial (180 por ciento) y la brecha entre la tasa de inflación real y la oficial se debe a los instrumentos de control de precios impuestos por el gobierno ya que los precios utilizados en calcular la inflación son “artificialmente bajos”, produciendo un efecto de “inflación suprimida”.

El gobierno venezolano dice que concretó los pagos de unas obligaciones pendientes con las aerolíneas Aeroméxico, Avianca de Colombia, Tame de Ecuador, Insel Air de la isla de Curazao y Aruba Airlines. Las obligaciones del gobierno con las aerolíneas internacionales han alcanzado altos montos: Insel Air a la que le adeudan 60 millones de dólares, a American Airlines 700 millones de dólares, a Copa y Avianca unos 400 millones de dólares por la diferencia entre los ingresos por la venta de boletos y los gastos de operaciones en Venezuela.

zuluaga gana la primera contienda en las elecciones El mandatario Juan Manuel Santos tendrá que enfrentarse en una segunda vuelta presidencial al opositor Oscar Iván Zuluaga, quien ganó la primera ronda electoral gracias a la popularidad del ex presidente Álvaro Uribe a pesar de que su campaña se vio envuelta en un escándalo de presunto espionaje. La segunda contienda será el próximo 15 de junio que se definirá con el respaldo o el rechazo de los colombianos a las negociaciones que el gobierno del presidente Santos adelanta en La Habana con la guerrilla de las FARC, y de las alianzas que logren los candidatos ganadores con los partidos y políticos derrotados. President Juan Manuel Santos will have to faceoff Oscar Iván Zuluaga the opposition leader in the second round of elections who just won the first round thanks to the popularity of former President Alvaro Uribe even though his campaign was involved in a scandal of alleged espionage. The second round will be held on June 15th to be defined by the support or rejection of the people of Colombian with regards to the negotiations of President Santos in Havana with the FARC, and the alliances that the candidates will achieve political parties. With a difference of 489,145 votes, the candidate of the Democratic Party, established by former President Uribe ( 2002-2010) , led the elections that were marked by an absense of 60% of the votes, the highest figure since 1966.

¡Qué mes tan emocionante! ¡Tenemos a Carlos Santana en la portada para todos sus fans, así como yo! Siempre es una experiencia increíble ver a Carlos Santana en concierto. Mi primera experiencia fue en un concierto de jazz al aire libre en el Caribe hace muchas, muchas lunas…. Sus conciertos siempre son sobrenaturales. Esta vez lo vi en el Hard Rock Live , su resurgimiento musical abunda en energía positiva y ritmos latinos sabrosos. .... Y también fue muy emocionante haber pasado el fin de semana de Memorial Day “muy tranquilos”. Las detenciones este año se redujeron casi a la mitad en Miami Beach. ¡Fue impresionante ver que la presencia de la policía estuvo por todas partes, hasta con helicópteros militares... fantástico! ¡La Copa del mundo comienza este mes también! What an exciting month! We have Carlos Santana on the cover for all Santana fans like me! It’s always an amazing experience to see Carlos Santana live in concert. My first experience was in an open air Jazz concert in the Caribbean many moons ago. His signature performances are always supernatural. This time I saw him at the Hard Rock Live, his musical resurgence was bursting with positive energy and lively Latino rhythms. ….And it’s also quite exciting that we had a “mostly peaceful” Memorial Day weekend. Arrests were down nearly half in Miami Beach. Impressive as the police presence was everywhere to be seen with even military helicopters…fantastic! The world Cup starts this month too! Big, big and biggest for Latinos and we have the schedules and more info featured in our sports page and in www.holalatinosnews.com. If anyone is lucky enough to see it live, please don’t hesitate to send us pictures… Father’s Day, let’s give these dads a well deserved gift….they all want a Rolex…but if that’s not an option, take him to a sports bar to watch the World Cup. June- Summer ….beach is here, parking here on Hollywood beach is a bit of a challenge but we can always walk to the beach, park downtown they have shuttles too. In a recent event held at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Miami Beach, American Heart Association featured the collection of jewelry designer Joseph Aviv in the annual heart ball auction. Aviv’s exclusive pieces, including his trademark Brown Gold and Diamond Web Heart Necklace, were presented at the AHA Gala Event, and guests who purchased champagne flutes, were also entered into a festive raffle to win diamonds from the Aviv collection, while all proceeds were dedicated to the benefit of the association’s activity and continuing research to create healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases. Designer Joseph Aviv, who has a local office in Hallandale Beach, has been associated with charitable organizations, from United Way and American Cancer Society, to foundations focused on helping children with terminal illnesses or those in need of special medical assistance. “It is an extremely gratifying experience for me to work hand in hand with the American Heart Association. If I can be of any contribution in improving other people’s lives, then I feel blessed” explained Aviv, at the end of the successful evening. If my Mom ever gets married I will walk her down the aisle in style, I will be the Best Friend.
I am confident that whomever she marries one fine day I will gain a Dad who loves animals and thinks of them as one of his children and who will be my advocate and not over vaccinate me. Speaking about new Dads Father’s Day is June 15th. I’m a Dad who was able to keep all my pups. My Mom just could not part with them especially after having to bottle feed them. My Cleopatra had a calcium defiency due to being overly vaccinated she would have died had we not rushed her to the ER. There was a silver lining, five loves we will always cherish. Could you imagine five little Maltese Dogs parading down the aisle? We would have to make an exception since Brides are the only ones supposed to wear white on their wedding day.

What to expect from Panchakarma?

The next process is the elimination of toxins using gentle cleansing therapies of the digestive system with herbalized oils to treat the deeper tissues and eliminate fat/soluble toxins. 5. The last process is the rejuvenation stage. Isn’t it funny that the guys are always looking to “Get Big”, and the ladies are always wanting to “Get Smaller”? I mean, the ladies are the ones that have to wear the shorts, the dresses and the bikini’s. So not fair! It’s actually not that hard for guys to gain muscle. All that needs to be done is hit the weights and EAT. YEP, one of the biggest factors affecting muscle growth, which is what you need to “get big”, is food. If you don’t eat enough of the right foods, it’s pretty much impossible to gain muscle. Here are some of the foods that need to be eaten in every meal. 1. Lean Protein: Egg Whites, Chicken or Turkey Breasts, Lean Steak, Fish 2. Healthy Carbohydrates: Oats, Quinoa, Brown Rice, Sweet Potato, Kidney Beans, Garbanzo Beans, etc. 3. Vegetables: Broccoli, Cauliflower, Arugula, Watercress, Spinach, Eggplant, Asparagus, etc. It’s also important to include enough Healthy Fats in your diet in order to gain lean muscle. Here are some examples: • Avocado • Coconut • Flaxmeal • Chia Seeds • Almonds, Cashews, Pecans, etc. • Pumpkin Seeds
• Olive Oil • Coconut Oil • Almond, Cashew or Sun Butter Weight training is the other factor that will affect muscle growth. There is a science to program design when it comes to muscle growth. So here are a few things that are important in an exercise program. 1. Volume: there should be a good amount of exercises per body part. It is also important to increase the amount of sets so that there are at least 15-20 sets per workout. 2. Intensity: The weight should be heavy enough to fail between 8-10 repetitions. Making sure that momentary muscle failure is reached in every set. 3. Tempo: This is the time each repetition takes. Don’t rush through each repetition. It’s important to keep the muscle under tension for a good amount of time in order to see muscle growth. 4. Rest: Make sure to rest enough time that you can keep the same weight for the following sets or even go up in weight. It is also important to rest enough between workouts as muscle growth happens during rest. Consistency is the key when trying to gain muscle. So make sure to eat “ENOUGH” of the right nutrients, consistently. And be sure to schedule your workouts and stick to them. Sazona el cerdo con 1½ cucharadita de sal y 1 cucharadita de pimienta. Calienta una sartén grande a fuego medio-alto hasta que esté muy caliente. Añade el aceite y calienta por unos 30 segundos hasta que brille pero no eche humo. En tandas, si es necesario, echa las chuletas de cerdo a la sartén y cocina por unos 10 minutos, dándoles vuelta cuando sea necesario,

advocating for health care disparities and cancer research I have always been a staunch supporter of health care for the medically underserved and disadvantaged. Florida is one of the most diverse states in the United States. With this diversity, there are populations that have a high incidence of disease burden, including those from ethnic/racial, rural, socioeconomically disadvantaged and other medically underserved backgrounds. To better understand health disparities and develop approaches to promote health equity in the state, the Florida Department of Health, including the Biomedical Research Advisory Council (BRAC), Office of Minority Health and the Florida Center for Universal Research to Eradicate Disease (FL CURED), convened a group of over 30 scholars and community stakeholders to develop the Health Disparities Research (HDR) Agenda for Florida. As a State Representative, I was able to champion the establishment of HERI, Florida’s “Health Equity Research Institute.” Being a part of the development of HERI has been truly an honor and I am eager to continue promoting independent health research for the areas that are often neglected. This initiative will also narrow the gap in healthcare disparities and cancer research. HERI will facilitate the design of broad-based studies to address health disparities in medically underserved populations in order to increase the development of health innovations that improve overall health. We will the pool of individuals from underrepresented groups for the health clinical studies and biomedical research. We will locate and apply for grants and external funding sources to improve healthcare economic development in the state. This will be accomplished through collaborations among Florida academic institutions and health care providers as well as government, community-based and funding organizations.

Although I am not in command of all the facts of your case and, based on what you tell me, it seems to me that you might qualify for a “U” Visa. The victims of trafficking and violence protection act created the Visa U status. This is also known as the “nonimmigrant status”. This visa is designed to protect legal status to non-citizens who have been victims of crimes and who are helping authorities investigate such crimes. In order to apply for a U Visa, you must prove that you have suffered “substantial physical or mental abuse” as a result of a criminal activity that is in violation of federal, state or local law. Domestic violence is one of the criminal activities covered by the U Visa. In addition, you must also show the following: -you must prove that you have information about the criminal activity of which you were a victim. -you must prove that you have obtained a certification issued by some authority to substantiate the fact that you have been, are currently the victim, or are likely to become a victim in a manner that is helpful to authorities for their investigation for their indictment of the person who committed the criminal activity. If you arrived in the U.S. illegally, the law provides for U Visa applicants to get a waiver for that reason. Cases of this type tend to be complicated and not every victim of a crime is eligible to apply for the U Visa. For that reason, my advice to you is to consult an immigration attorney about your eligibility for this type of remedy under immigration law. The 3,150-square-foot Miramar Community Garden will expand with the addition of the Intergenerational Fruit and Vegetable Garden as a part of The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company’s and The U.S. Conference of Mayors’ nationwide GRO1000 gardens and green spaces program. The expansion will include a new fruit grove, raised edible garden beds, a culinary herb garden, a seedling nursery and an outdoor classroom, which will serve a nearby elementary school, senior center and youth and family outreach center. The Miramar Community Garden and its new addition provide an outlet for socializing, garden education and healthy eating for local residents of all ages.
