i. ChiefJusticeBowles:Thankyouforhavingmetonight.IamSara,the chiefjusticeofthejudicialpanel.Iwillbegivingyouourdecisionbased offareportthatwereceivedregardingasenatorialactionfromyourlast meeting.Theopinionwillbemadetoallofyouinthemannerdecidedby theexecutiveboard.Thecompletesetofdecisionsandopinionswillbe attachedtotheminutes.Aftercarefuldeliberationanddiscussion, includingthefinalstanceofeachjustice,thatSA.2025.89.020-Election SAPSisaffirmedasconstitutionalaswritten.Uponourreview,the argumentpresentedtousdidnotciteaspecificareaoftheconstitutionin whichwecouldcomparetotheremovedclause.Uponalengthy discussion,themajorityfeelsthatthereisnotenoughsubstantialevidence torulethischangeunconstitutional.ThischangetothePolicySeries followsprecedent,anddoesnotspecificallycounteranyofour interpretationsoftheConstitution,includingthatofthosethatstoodprior tothisamendment.DuringtheSenatemeetingonMarch6th,2025, multiplechangesweremadethatmadethischangeconsistentwiththe Constitution.Pleaserefertotheentiretyoftheattachedopiniondocument forspecificareasofthisaction,thePolicySeries,andConstitutionthatthe justicesutilizedinordertocometothisconclusion,includingbutnot limitedtothespecificrulesregardingtotaleligibilityofthisactionandits changes.
ii. Wesuggest,ifanyfurtherconcernsaroundthismatterarise,proposing senatorialactionsand/orconstitutionalamendmentsconcerningthe
procedureofdisputesandappeals.ManyareasofthisSectioncouldbe amendedconstitutionallytohelpsecureunwantedbias.
iii. Furthermore,anysenateminutes,senatorialaction,agenda,constitutional amendment,oranyotherlegislationbroughttothejudicialpanelto review,mustbesupportedbyspecificprovisions,statements,orsections oftheConstitutionwherethoseelementscanproveunconstitutionalityof anaction,wherethiscouldconcludespecificdocuments,witnesses,or additionalevidencethataidsinpresentingaclean,compellingcomplaint. Wewilltakeallreviewswithutmostseriousnessconcerningthevalidityof andrelevanceofunconstitutionalclaims.Weurgesenatorsandchairs aliketoactinthesamemanner.

a. HSUPresidentSingh:WestartedhostingHoli.Wealsojust startedaDiscoevent,thatwaswellattended.Thissemester wewillbehostingaHolidinnerforstudentsoncampus.

a. HSUPresidentSingh:Weactuallydon’thaveofficespace. Weapplied,butweweredenied.Luckily,weareableto utilizeotherorgsareas,butourownspacewoulddefinitely behelpful.

a. HSUPresidentSingh:Youguyshavebeenveryhelpful. Rightnowwehavebeenusingthesameplacetoprovide fullyvegetarianoffersforourmembersthatCompasscould notaccommodate.Iwouldliketoexpandourrestaurant andcontracts.
6. SenatorYari:Whatwouldtheidealprayerspaceslooklike?
a. HSUPresidentSingh:Ithinkgivingoneprayerspacefor everymajorreligionwouldbehelpful.Wehavethespace, anditjustneedstobedividedbetter Wecan’tdoallofour customswithinasharedspace.

a. HSUPresidentSingh:Academically,Ithinkwearepretty set.Therearesomecoursesthatevenofferopportunities fortripstoHindutemples.Therearesometimesthatour holidaysoverlap,followingaLunarcalendar Mostare accommodating,whereasothers–likeBiolab–aremore difficulttoreschedule.

a. HSUPresidentSingh:Ithinkthepridepantryisvegetarian friendly,soIthinkthatisset.Wehaveheardingeneralthat itishardtofindvegetarianoptions.Alotofmembersbuy orbringfoodfromoffcampus.

HSUEventsManagerGadekar:Asavegetarianmyself,it isslightlyeasierduringtheweeks,buttheweekendsare tricky.Wereallyhavetoplanaccordinglytomakesurewe willbeabletofindsomething.Ihavealsorunintoissues withorderingvegetarianmealsandendedupbeingserved somethingwithmeatinit,whichIcan’teat.Sometimes theyevenquestionmewhenIbringupmyfoodtobe remade.Ithinkweallneedabitmoresensitivityand consideration.
