New Business a. Senator Finklestein moves to open the gallery i. Motion seconded ii. Motion passed b. WELCOME representatives from Hillel, Chavaya, and Newman!!! i. President of Newman: Newman is the place for Catholicism on campus. We host a handful of events for both strengthening our faith as well as offering a place for social events. ii. VP of Hillel: We are the organization for the Jewish community on campus. iii. President of Chavaya: We are a new club that creates a sense of community for the Jewish community, trying to make the religion as fun as possible! iv. VP Joyal: 1. Treasurer of Chavaya: Coming to this school on my own with no family, I wanted to find a space to belong, so I tried out a bunch of orgs. I found that through Chavaya. 2. President of Chavaya: I think it is good to have diversity and pride for where they came from. People should make the most out of their college experience. 3. Senator Finkelstein: It is important for people to have a sense of belonging, but also a place to talk and relate to who you are and your religion.
