Welcome - Director for Community Engagement, Special Projects, and Campus Transportation, Jovanni Ortiz. i. Jovanni: I recently celebrated 4 years here. I work closely with Gerry Hart. I was in SGA in college. Any students who want to connect or meet with Mack can come to my office. ii. Chair Iacobovici: As an RA, I have had instances with myself and residents where P-Safe has been standoffish and rude. Why does it seem P-Safe officers answering phones are like this? I understand that staff may be low, but freshmen who are greeted rudely may feel awkward. 1. Jovanni: I am sorry to hear that is the experience because that’s not how we train our staff to be. It is important to me that they face students with a smile. We will continue to train them. Behind the desk, there are usually lots of traffic coming and they may be abrupt but we don’t want that to ever come across as rough. If you have some unpleasant experience, let us know and we can address it.
