New Business a. Senator Pierre moves to open the gallery i. Motion Seconded ii. Motion Passed b. Welcome, Senate Guest, Executive Director of Student Access Services, Caitlian Sullivan 1. Senator Pierre: The elevators are outdated. How did you advocate for them? a. Director Sullivan: Most elevators are old. They are not updated as are many things. There are often breakdowns and there is usually a quick turn around. There is the president’s committee, where every year there are visible access updates. We get to put forth each year how we plan to use that money. There are higher traffic areas with more problems. My department gets notified and then I can pull a list of those taking classes in that building and I can work with the registrar to move classes as needed. 2. Senator Ehrlich: Many accommodations travel over from middle school and high school. Accommodations are not always going to be in place in the professional field. What has SAS done to lean students away from these accommodations post-graduation? a. Director Sullivan: Accommodations will not necessarily transfer from high school or middle school.
