Our ship will be passing through an international time zone at 2:00 am on Tuesday September 23, 2025. We’ll be switching our ship’s time to one hour forward. Please remember to set your watches and devices accordingly. When in doubt, check the Royal App for the correct ship time.

Safety 1-2-3

In compliance with our Youth Evacuation Plan, children will be given colored wristbands that correspond with their muster stations. In the event of an emergency, Youth Staff will escort all children participating in Adventure Ocean activities to their muster stations for reunification with their parents/guardians.

Children’s Personal Flotation Devices

(PFD)

For the safety and wellbeing of children, children’s swimming pool personal flotation devices are available free of charge at the pool deck areas. Personal flotation devices (PFDs) are for use onboard the Independence of the Seas and cannot be taken off the ship.

Animal Sighting Advisory

Occasionally, animals may find their way onboard our ships. For your safety, if you encounter any animals onboard, it is prohibited to interact with or touch them. We ask that you please report any sightings or encounters to any of our Officers or Crew.

ONBOARD EXPENSE ACCOUNT

Setting Up Your Account

If you did not set up an account during Online Check-In or during boarding in the cruise terminal, you can do so in the Royal App or at the Guest Services Desk on Deck 5. Onboard Expense Accounts can be set up with a credit card, a debit card, or cash. Our ships utilize a cashless system, so your SeaPass card will be the only way to make purchases while onboard. Please note that a temporary hold of $99.75 USD will be placed on your card to verify funds. Onboard purchases over $100 USD will generate additional holds. The hold will be released within 3 to 5 business days after your cruise ends, but can take up to 30 days, depending on your bank. You may add other guests to your expense account by visiting the Guest Services desk. A daily limit can be placed on arcade spending. All charges can be viewed in the Royal Caribbean App. Printed receipts will be provided for each onboard purchase, and a preliminary statement will be delivered to your stateroom on the last morning of your cruise. A ﬁnal statement will be e-mailed to you within 24 hours of departing the ship on the last day of your cruise. Guests on a cash account will need to settle their account at Guest Services prior to disembarking the ship.

Specialty Dining reservations can be made through the Royal Caribbean App. You may also dial [7000] on your stateroom phone and select the restaurant you wish to dine in or visit the restaurant and make a reservation with the Maitre d' outside. Continental breakfast is complimentary. Both the All-Day Menu and American Breakfast will have a delivery fee of $7.95 USD plus an 18% gratuity for each order. How much are gratuities?

If not already pre-paid, an $18.50 USD gratuity ($21.00 USD for Suite guests) is added to each guest's onboard account daily to help recognize superior service from crew during your cruise. This gratuity is shared among dining & culinary services staff, stateroom attendants, and other hotel services teams working behind the scenes. In addition to daily gratuities, an 18% gratuity is automatically added to all beverage, mini bar items, specialty dining, and spa & salon purchases.

Paris (Le Havre) Port Information

There is a shuttle bus from the pier into Le Havre. There are 2 drop off points: Place Perret and Docks Shopping Center (2 stops), the journey takes around 15-20 minutes (each way). The price is €7 round trip, cash (euros only) and credit card (except American Express) are accepted. All sales are made inside the Terminal building. There is a taxi stop within the port.

*Paris is about 3 hours away. Please keep in mind traffic delays. Royal Caribbean excursions are highly recommended.

Shore Visits For Minors

Parents or guardians: If a minor (under the age of 18) is in your care, they must have adult supervision leaving and entering the ship.

Local Port Agriculture Regulations

Local port regulations prohibit the addition or removal of agricultural items such as food, fruits, plants, flowers, sea shells, bulbs, and rocks to or from the ship.

Bilbao, Spain Port Information:

The cruise terminal is in the town of Getxo, which is within walking distance. The City of Bilbao is approx. 12 km away, and you can choose between staying in Getxo or driving to Bilbao. Third party shuttle buses are available from the pier to Bilbao City and take approx. 30-40 minutes (each way). The price is 17€ round trip, cash or Credit Card payment, no Amex. Drop off point is near Guggenheim Museum. Last shuttle is at 3:30 pm. Please do not wait to return to the ship last minute due to the high traffic and expected long lines for the shuttle. The taxis and Uber as well readily available. There is also a local train near the pier from Neguri station and can take you to Bilbao or around the region.

Local Port Agriculture Regulations

Local port regulations prohibit the addition or removal of agricultural items such as food, fruits, plants, flowers, sea shells, bulbs, and rocks to or from the ship.

La Coruña cruise terminal is located on Muelle de Trasatlanticos quay. We are docked at a working pier and walking is not permitted. There are port provided shuttles to take you from the ship to the port entrance. From there it's only a 5 minutes walk to the city center. The cruise terminal has a tourist information desk and souvenir shops. Public bus and taxis are also available at the port.

The ship will dock at the Muelle de Transatlanticos. The terminal is located right in the city, and it only takes 5-10 minutes walk to get to the city center. Vigo is considered Spain’s busiest fishing port, so you will see lots of activity on the water. The Tourist Center is directly across from the cruise terminal.
