ood afternoon and welcome to Rakesmoor Lane for today’s North West Counties Football League fixture against Route One Rovers.
After not winning any of our last seven games, today becomes even more of a critical game. The return fixture against Route One Rovers ended in late disappointment after leading with 5-10 minutes to go, so we know they fight for the result to the end, so we need to be at the top of our game from start to finish. This is Route One Rovers’ first visit to Rakesmoor Lane since joining the NWCFL this season, and we need to make sure they go away empty-handed. Throughout the last ten games, we have had to make a lot of changes, which has meant we haven’t had the consistency in the levels in our performances. Still, we welcome several key players, such as, Brandon, Jason, Tom, Tommy, and Tyler, who offer us a more significant attacking threat, which we have struggled to offer in the last few games. Hopefully, we can start to keep the squad fit now with Josh/Jay/Sam, the other noticeable absentees we are waiting on. Games are passing quickly as we go into the back end of the season, and we need today to be the change in fortunes to kick on then to give ourselves something to play for come March/April.

ONENT THEIR HISTORY Route One Rovers FC was established in 2013 by Chairman Sameel Mahmood. The club started competing in the Spen Valley League, followed by promotion to the West Riding County Amateur Football League. Fast forward a few years, and Route One Rovers were placed in the Yorkshire Amateur League Supreme Division. After winning a League Cup and District double in 21/22, the vision was to be promoted to the Counties League. After a successful double-winning 22/23 season, winning the Yorkshire Amateur League Title in an invincible run and the Keighley District Cup, Route One Rovers FC gained promotion to the North West Counties League.
