香港藝術節於1973年首次舉辦，自此成 為本港一年一度的文化盛事，整個亞太 地區的藝術愛好者都翹首以待。

Since 1973, the Hong Kong Arts Festival has been a highlight of the city’s annual cultural calendar and a highly anticipated event throughout the region.

Each year, leading international artists and outstanding local talent come together over the course of a full month, enhancing the vitality and the quality of life of residents and visitors alike.

香港藝術節每年都邀請到國際頂尖藝術 家蒞臨香港，與本地藝壇精英共同獻 藝。整整一個月的精彩節目，為本地居 民和遊客提供精神養分，令他們的生活 更豐富多姿。

今年藝術節約有50個本地及來自世界各 地的表演團體和獨立藝術家參與，為觀 眾呈獻近 140 場表演，包羅中國戲曲、

西洋歌劇、音樂、戲劇和舞蹈；此外， 還特備「加料節目」，包括電影放映、 工作坊及後台參觀。一如以往，我熱切 期待各項節目上演，希望一睹為快。

This year, some 50 ensembles and solo artists from Hong Kong and from all over the world will showcase nearly 140 performances in Chinese and Western opera, music, theatre and dance. And, thanks to Festival PLUS, there is more, including film screenings, workshops and backstage tours. As always, I can’t wait for the shows to begin.

My congratulations to the Festival team for putting together yet another outstanding line-up.

This Festival is resplendent with brilliant Divas, marking the 40th anniversary of International Women’s Year and celebrating the half of humanity that holds up half the sky. It is replete with stories of women: in fiction and fact, in stories of oppression and empowerment, in opera, music, theatre and dance. And to maintain the balance of Yang and Yin, the Festival also features a splendid parade of Maestros: young talent crowned in recent competition, great artists of major stature, and doyens of established eminence.

We trust that you find much to enjoy, and thank you for making the time to be here. With the entire team, I would like to thank the wonderful performers and creators who take part in this Festival, the many people who work behind the scenes, and yet others who make contributions in so many different ways. Hong Kong Arts Festival (HKAF)

香港藝術節 於 1973 年正式揭幕，是國際藝壇中重要的 文化盛事，於每年 2 、 3 月期間呈獻約 140 場演出 及逾 250 項「加料」和教育節目 ，致力豐富香港的文化生 活。

香港藝術節是一所非牟利機構，2015年藝術節的年度預 算約港幣 1 億 1 千 2 百萬，當中接近三成來自香港特區 政府的撥款，約四成來自票房收入，而餘下的逾三成則 來自各大企業、熱心人士和慈善基金會的贊助和捐款。

友」成立23年來，已為逾700,000位本地中學生及大專 生提供藝術體驗活動。藝術節近年亦開展多項針對大、 中、小學學生的藝術教育活動，並通過「學生票捐助計 劃」每年提供逾8,500張半價學生票。

香港藝術節 每年主辦一系列多元化並深入社區的 「加料 節目」 ，例如示範講座、大師班、工作坊、座談會、後 台參觀、展覽、藝人談、導賞團等，鼓勵觀眾與藝術家 互動接觸。

HKAF, launched in 1973, is a major international arts festival committed to enriching the life of the city by presenting about 140 performances and over 250 PLUS and educational events in February and March every year.

HKAF is a non-profit organisation. The estimated budget for the HKAF in 2015 is around HK$112 million, with just under 30% coming from government funding, around 40% from the box office, and over 30% from sponsorships and donations from corporations, individuals, and charitable foundations.

HKAF presents top international artists and ensembles , such as Cecilia Bartoli, José Carreras, Yo-Yo Ma, Philip Glass, Kurt Masur, Riccardo Chailly, Mikhail Baryshnikov, Sylvie Guillem, Kevin Spacey, Robert Wilson, the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, the Mariinsky Theatre, Bavarian State Opera, New York City Ballet, Paris Opera Ballet, Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch, Cloud Gate Dance Theatre, Zingaro, Royal Shakespeare Company, Berliner Ensemble, and National Theatre of China.

HKAF actively promotes Hong Kong’s own creative talents and emerging artists , and commissions, produces and publishes new works in theatre, chamber opera, music and contemporary dance, many with successful subsequent runs in Hong Kong and overseas.

HKAF invests in arts education for young people . In the past 23 years, our Young Friends has reached over 700,000 secondary and tertiary school students in Hong Kong. A variety of arts education projects targeted at primary, secondary, and tertiary school students has been launched in recent years. Donations to the Student Ticket Scheme also make available more than 8,500 half-price student tickets each year.

HKAF organises a diverse range of Festival PLUS activities in community locations each year to enhance the engagement between artists and audiences. These include lecture demonstrations, masterclasses, workshops, symposia, backstage visits, exhibitions, meet-the-artist sessions, and guided tours.

安東尼奧．卡納萊斯 編舞及舞者

Antonio Canales Choreographer & Dancer

在他的非凡舞蹈生涯裏，卡納萊斯獲獎無數， 包括墨西哥最佳國際舞者及安達魯西亞獎章。

1992 年，他成立了自己的舞團；1999 年更在 阿維拉創辦了舞蹈學校 Fuerza Latina。

Over the course of his prodigious career, Canales has garnered many accolades including the Best International Dancer prize in Mexico, the Medal of Andalusia, and others. He opened his company in 1992 and his dance school, Fuerza Latina, in Avila in 1999.

In the 2000s he performed in various major festivals including the Theatre Festival of Merida, the Seville Biennial Flamenco Festival, and the Festival of Classical Theatre in Merida. From 2006 to 2007, he toured with Musical Flamenco Los Grandes. In the last few years, Canales has worked in Guanajuato, Mexico participating in events related to the bicentenary of Mexico’s independence. He has also taught at the Theatre of Madrid, collaborated with the Cervantes Institute and continued offering his shows across Europe and the US.

卡諾斯．羅德里基

Born in Madrid in 1975, Rodríguez launched his professional career with the Ballet Teatro Español. In Expo ‘92 in Seville, he was selected by the Teatro de la Zarzuela to take part in the play Chorizos y polacos with choreography by Alberto Lorca. Rodríguez was a guest soloist with the Real Conservatorio Profesional de Danza in 1992. At the OTI festivals in 1992 and 1993, he was choreographed by Goyo Montero, and he subsequently joined José Antonio and the Spanish Ballet as soloist dancer. In 1994, he won the award for the most outstanding dancer at the Certámen Nacional de Coreografía de Danza Española together with Ángel Rojas, with whom he co-created the Nuevo Ballet Español in 1995. Rodríguez also teaches privately and has designed some of the costumes used in Furia

Jesús Carmona Choreographer & Dancer

Born in Barcelona in 1985, Carmona graduated with a degree in Spanish Dance and Flamenco from the Institute of Theatre and Dance of Barcelona in 2004. He made his professional debut at Teatro Zorrilla in Barcelona at 16.

He has worked with Ballet Nacional de España as first dancer, and with Nuevo Ballet Español, Carmen Cortes, among others. His awards include the First Dance Award at the Festival Internacional de Cante de las Minas de La Unión 2012, and the “First Outstanding Dancer” in the XX Flamenco and Spanish Dance Contest 2011. He performed in Cuna Negra & Blanca , receiving much critical and popular acclaim at the Bienal de Sevilla 2012, Madrid en Danza 2012 and Festival de Jerez 2013.

卡林美．阿馬亞

Karime Amaya Choreographer & Dancer

1985 年，阿馬亞出生於佛蘭明高舞蹈世家，姨 祖母為傳奇佛蘭明高舞蹈家卡門．阿馬亞，母 親是著名佛蘭明高舞者梅賽德斯．阿馬亞，而 父親則是結他手聖地亞哥．阿吉拉爾。年僅 9 歲，她已隨父母的舞團作首次演出。

阿馬亞亦曾與其他著名佛蘭明高舞者合作，包 括拉斐爾．卡門和瑪莉亞．柏希斯。2003 年， 她於紐約第 46 屆表演藝術經紀人協會會員年 度大會上表演。翌年，更獲邀到東京享負盛名 的佛蘭明高演出場地 El Flamenco，參與為期六 個月的季度演出。

Born in 1985, Amaya is the grand-niece of the legendary flamenco dancer, Carmen Amaya, and daughter of the bailaora Mercedes Amaya and guitarist Santiago Aguilar. She debuted in her parents’ troupe at age nine.

She has performed alongside flamenco greats such as Farruquito, María Pages, Manuela Carrasco, Rafael del Carmen, and others. In 2003, she performed at the Arts Presenters’ 46th annual members’ conference in New York, and in 2004 she performed a six-month season at Tokyo’s most prestigious flamenco venue, EI Flamenco.

Since then Amaya has performed in Spain, Ecuador, France, Japan and Mexico to soldout performances. In 2013, Amaya embarked on the world tour of Abolengo , a production showcasing the meeting of the Farruco and Amaya family on the flamenco dance stage.

卡門．凱

Carmen Coy Dancer

生於 1984 年，曾於西班牙馬德里皇家舞蹈學院研讀西班牙舞蹈。1999 年至 2006 年為卡門與馬蒂爾德．盧比奧舞團的成員， 2006 年至 2012 年加入西班牙國立舞劇院，並隨團於西班牙及世界各地的大型劇院及 藝術節，演出大量經典劇目及劇團新作。

凱亦曾與安東尼．馬傑斯舞團及塞西莉亞．戈麥斯佛蘭明高舞團合作 演出。 2013 年，她於塞維爾的麥斯特蘭薩劇院上演的《塞維利亞與 特里亞納》一劇中擔任獨舞。凱現為馬可．弗洛雷舞團及羅哈斯與羅 德里基舞團的獨舞舞者，並在安達盧西亞佛蘭明高舞團的《歌唱的回 憶》中擔任獨舞。

Born in 1984, Coy studied Spanish dance at the Conservatorio Profesional de Danza. From 1999 to 2006, Coy was a member of the Compañía Carmen y Matilde Rubio. From 2006 to 2012, Coy danced with the Spanish National Ballet and performed many classic repertories, as well as new works in many important theatres and festivals in Spain and beyond.

Coy has also worked with the Antonio Márquez Dance Company and the Cecilia Gómez Ballet Flamenco Troupe. In 2013 she performed as a soloist in Entre Sevilla y Triana in the Maestranza Theatre in Seville. She is currently a soloist with The Marco Flores Company and the Nuevo Ballet de Rojas y Rodríguez. She is also a soloist in Ballet Flamenco de Andalucia´s show En La Memoria del Cante

盧西亞．坎皮略

舞者 Lucia Campillo Dancer

Born in Murcia in 1987, Campillo began her professional career in the Spanish National Ballet´s Training Academy under the direction of José Antonio. She was part of the Antonio Gades Foundation, as well as the dance companies of both Rojas y Rodriguez and Jesús Carmona, performing in several national and international festivals such as the Festival de Jerez and the Bienal de Sevilla.

Campillo performs simultaneously for Flamenco Tablaos, Casa Patas, Villarosa and Corral de la Moreria to name but a few. From 2010 to 2013 she was a member of the Spanish National Ballet, showcasing the company´s repertoire and on several occasions performing dance solos as prima ballerina.

In 2014 she became a member of the María Pagés Company.

安海爾．羅哈斯 導演 Ángel Rojas Director

1974 年生於馬德里， 16 歲便在拉法葉．亞吉拉 佛蘭明高舞團開展其專業舞者生涯。 1992 年， 更獲邀到塞維爾世界博覽演出。及後，他開始 與安東尼奧．卡納萊斯佛蘭明高舞蹈團合作， 參演舞團作品《鬥牛士》，並憑角色托洛大獲 好評。

1994 年，羅哈斯贏得西班牙舞蹈及佛蘭明高年 度編舞獎最佳舞者，並與羅德里基共享殊榮。 及後，他們二人合作成立新西班牙佛蘭明高舞 蹈團，決心打造更動魄人心的佛蘭明高舞蹈， 把經典舞技與現代音樂融為一體。至今，新西 班牙佛蘭明高舞團已上演了 15 個大型表演，包 括《鈦》（ 2013）、《魔幻之愛》（ 2012）、《菲 利格蘭納》（ 2011）和《變向》（ 2009）。除此 以外，羅哈斯更熱衷於教授舞蹈，並為其他舞 團編舞，為國際舞台上炙手可熱的創作人。

Born in Madrid in 1974, Rojas started working as a professional dancer at 16 with the Ballet Teatro Español. Two years later, he performed at the Expo ’92, Seville. He also began working with Antonio Canales Flamenco Ballet, receiving international acclaim for his work as El Toro in the company’s production of Torero

In 1994, Rojas won first place for Best Dancer in Spain’s Dance and Flamenco Annual Choreography Awards, an award he shared with Carlos Rodríguez. Rojas and Rodríguez went on to form Nuevo Ballet Español to fulfill their mission of exalting flamenco by blending it with classical dance techniques and other modern musical idioms. To date, Nuevo Ballet Español has more than 15 shows under its belt, including most recently Titanium (2013), El Amor Brujo (2012), Filigrana (2011), Cambio de Tercio (2009). Rojas also continues to teach dance and to choreograph for other companies, and receives international requests for other projects.

Bazán was born in Estepona, Málaga (Spain) in 1977. An accomplished young flamenco singer (cantaora), her awards have included the Jóvenes Cantaores award in Festival Internacional del Cante de las Minas de La Unión and the Giraldillo Jóvenes Intérpretes award in the Bienal de Arte Flamenco de Sevilla.

Florido is a singer from Cádiz. He also has an established career in Japan, where he has sung for some of the most recognised artists in “El Tablao”, such as Hiniesta Cortés, Juan Paredes, and others. In Spain, he has collaborated with some of the best flamenco dancers including Soledad Barrio and Alejandro Granados, and many others.

After studying with maestro Enrique Vargas, Jurado worked with several flamenco tablaos and ferias, as well as pop rock bands. He worked with Nuevo Ballet Español for several years, composing shows such as Fury Sangre Flamenca, and others. He has also worked for companies such as Ballet de Antonio Perujo and Compañía Andaluza de Danza.

Cheyenne plays the cajón for many top dancers like Iván Vargas and Manuel Liñan. He has also worked with an array of singers, dancers and guitarists, including Juan Andrés Maya, Patricia Guerrero, and others. As a percussionist, he has performed in major festivals inside and outside of Spain such as Festival Flamenco Buenos Aires and Arte Flamenco Festival in Monterrey.

His is the winner of International Competition of Young Composers, Frederic Mompou 2005 (Barcelona), Green Room Award 2005 (Melbourne), and other accolades.

Since 1995 Castro has worked as a production manager, production director and stage manager for various music festivals, tours and events, specialising in stage managing and technical direction in recent years.

Olalla has worked as a sound technician for many wellknown Spanish artists such as Miguel Rios, Ketama, Presuntos Implicados and La Union. Specialising in flamenco, Olalla has worked with major stars as Eva Yerbabuena, Estrella Morente, Farruquito, Pastora Galvan, and others.

Pérez has worked as a lighting designer since 1997, specialising in the performing arts and especially in dance shows. He has done lighting design for companies such as Ballet Nacional de España, Compañía nacional de Danza and Nuevo Ballet Español. He has collaborated with artists like Rocio Molina, Manuel Liñan, Jesús Carmona and Olga Pericet.
