二零二六年香港藝術節隆重 舉 行，謹此致賀。
今年藝術節邁進第五十四屆，約 180 場演出涵蓋 音樂、戲曲、歌劇、戲劇、舞蹈、藝術科技及 其他表演藝術創作，精彩多元，引人矚目。
藝術節在二月二十七日以西班牙國家舞劇院著 名舞劇《美麗的奧蒂羅》揭開序幕，在舞台重 現巴黎黃金時代的歌舞昇平，別出心裁。三月 二十七日藝術節閉幕以大型舞劇《牡丹亭》為 壓軸演出，呈獻導演兼編舞黎星對經典愛情劇 目的嶄新演繹。今年的音樂節目陣容強大，匯 聚各傑出鋼琴家獻技，有年輕韓國天才鋼琴家 任奫燦，也有榮獲二零二五年范．克萊本國際 大賽金獎及觀 眾 大獎的本地鋼琴家沈靖韜，實 在不容錯過。
一如既往，藝術節包羅繽紛多彩的外展及教育 活動。今年的「加料節目」着重豐富藝術愛好 者的文化體驗，加深對世界級藝術家的認識， 對於啓發更多人參與藝術活動，以至鞏固香港 作為中外文化藝術交流中心的定位，極為重要。

I am pleased to congratulate the Hong Kong Arts Festival on the organisation of its 2026 season. This year’s Festival, the 54th edition, features some 180 performances, encompassing music, Chinese and Western opera, theatre, dance, arts technology and a dazzling variety of performing arts productions.
The Festival opens on 27 February with Ballet Nacional de España’s acclaimed operatic ballet La Bella Otero , recreating the glamour of Paris’ golden era on stage. The Festival concludes on 27 March with the large-scale dance theatre production DreaminThePeonyPavilion , directed and choreographed by Li Xing, injecting fresh life into the timeless love classic. This year’s music performances present a number of brilliant pianists, including young Korean piano sensation Yunchan Lim, and Hong Kong-born Aristo Sham, the gold medallist and audience award winner at the 2025 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition.
As ever, the Festival features a diverse range of outreach and educational activities. This year’s PLUS programme focuses on a wide cultural experience for arts lovers and deeper understanding of world-class artists, contributing to promoting engagement in cultural events and consolidating Hong Kong’s positioning as the East-meets-West centre for international cultural exchange.

A warm welcome to the 54th Hong Kong Arts Festival. As a leading international performing arts event, the Festival continues to uphold its mission of enriching our city’s cultural life and promoting the best of the performing arts to different sectors of our community. This year, the Festival brings to Hong Kong more than 1,100 distinguished local and international artists from a wide range of artistic disciplines in over 180 performances of more than 45 programmes, as well as about 300 “PLUS”, outreach and education events.
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the HKSAR Government, acting through the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, for its annual subvention and matching grant. My heartfelt thanks also go out to The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, our corporate sponsors, charitable foundations and donors for their generous support. Their invaluable contributions empower us to actively advance the community through the performing arts.
My genuine appreciation goes to all our internationally renowned and most talented artists for their creativity and outstanding performances on stage. Their dedication profoundly motivates us to continue showcasing exceptional productions, commissioning new works and nurturing local talent. 第 54 屆香港藝術節雲集眾多大師級藝術家與傑 出團隊，帶來超過 180 場的音樂、舞蹈、戲劇、 歌劇、戲曲、藝術科技與跨界創作節目，展示藝 術家的精湛造詣。
今年的其中一個主題，是對「勇氣與和平」的探 索。當全球都因為戰亂、流離、經濟下行等苦難 感到焦躁不安，藝術家以獨特的視角與語言，在 舞台上交織出對世界的回應，提醒我們抱持堅毅 與希望。
此外，今屆藝術節部分作品採用了簡約的戲劇手 法，讓我們擺脫地域與資源的限制。我們亦繼續 擁抱藝術科技，利用混合實景技術，開拓新的表 演效果。

The 54th Hong Kong Arts Festival once again brings together great masters and outstanding artists, presenting more than 180 performances across music, dance, theatre, opera, Chinese opera, arts-tech and interdisciplinary creations—showcasing the exceptional craft of leading local and international talent.
One of this year’s themes is an exploration of “Courage and Peace”. At a time when the world is troubled by war, displacement, economic downturns and other hardships, artists respond from their own distinctive perspectives and in their own languages on stage, reminding us of the need to be resilient and hopeful.
Some works in this year’s Festival adopt a minimalistic theatrical approach, enabling us to transcend the constraints of geography and resources. We also continue to embrace arts-tech, using mixed-reality technologies to open up new performance possibilities.
As always, the Festival presents more than 300 outreach and education activities. Our PLUS events feature a curated series of talks, masterclasses, backstage tours and guided cultural walks. Our comprehensive education initiatives tailored for primary, secondary and tertiary students are aimed at enabling students to gain a more in-depth understanding and appreciation of the works we present.

, launched in 1973, is a major international arts festival committed to enriching the cultural life of the city by presenting leading local and international artists in all genres of the as well as a diverse range of “PLUS” and in February and March each year.
non-profit organisation. The total income target for FY2025/26 (including the 54th Hong Kong Arts Festival and 2026 “No Limits”) is approximately HK$159 million. Current Government annual baseline funding accounts for around 12% of the Festival's total income. Around 24% of the Festival’s income needs to be generated from the box office, and around 44% from sponsorship and donations made by corporations, individuals and charitable foundations. The remaining 20% is expected to come from other revenue sources including the Government’s matching grant scheme, which matches income generated through private sector sponsorship and donations. The HKAF actively collaborates with Hong Kong’s own creative talent and showcases emerging local artists. Over the years, the HKAF has commissioned and produced over 250 local productions across genres including Cantonese opera, theatre, chamber opera, music and contemporary dance, many with successful subsequent runs in Hong Kong and overseas.

香港藝術節 一直大力投資 下一代的藝術教育。「青 少年之友」成立 33 年來，已為約 849,000 位本地中 學生及大專生提供藝術體驗活動。藝術節近年亦開 展多項針對大、中、小學生的藝術教育活動，包括 由國際及本地藝術家主持的示範講座及工作坊、學 生展演、演前講座、公開彩排、以及欣賞藝術節演 出。同時，通過「學生票捐助計劃」，藝術節每年提 供約 10,000 張半價學生票。

The HKAF frequently partners with renowned international artists and institutions to produce exceptional works, such as Der Fensterputzer (The Window Washer) co-produced with GoetheInstitut Hong Kong and Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch; Richard III and TheTempest produced by The Old Vic, BAM and Neal Street under “The Bridge Project” with the HKAF as a co-commissioning institution; Green Snake co-commissioned with Shanghai International Arts Festival; Dream of the Red Chamber coproduced with San Francisco Opera; Laila , a co-production with Finnish National Opera and Ballet, and 20,000LeaguesUndertheSea , co-produced with The Central Academy of Drama, China, and Compagnie Point Fixe.
The HKAF invests heavily in arts education for young people. Over the past 33 years, our “Young Friends” scheme has reached around 849,000 local secondary and tertiary school students. A variety of arts education projects serving primary, secondary and tertiary school students have been launched in recent years, featuring activities such as student showcases, pre-performance talks, open rehearsals, opportunities to attend Festival performances, as well as in-school workshops and lecture demonstrations led by international and local artists. Donations to the “Student Ticket Scheme” also make available approximately 10,000 halfprice student tickets each year.
The HKAF organises a diverse range of “Festival PLUS” activities in community locations each year to enhance engagement between artists and audiences. These include films, lecture demonstrations, masterclasses, workshops, symposia, backstage visits, exhibitions, meetthe-artist sessions and guided cultural tours.
The HKAF actively promotes inclusion via the arts to every corner of the community. The “No Limits” project, co-presented with The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, was launched in 2019. Through a series of performances and diverse arts experiences for students and the community, “No Limits” strives to create an inclusive space for people with different abilities to share the joy of the arts together.

FOCASA 馬戲團成立於 2011 年，是台灣第一
個專業的當代馬戲團隊，致力於推動當代 馬戲藝術的發展。2017 年迄今已連續九年 入選台灣文化藝術基金會演藝團隊獎助專 案「 TAIWAN TOP 演藝團隊」。
十五年來，團隊不斷努力耕耘，使台灣成 為當代馬戲發展的沃土。團隊平均每年演 出高達百場，在世界範圍內多個重要舞台
征戰，足跡遍佈三十個國家，一百個城 市，並登上英國愛丁堡藝穗節和法國外亞 維儂藝術節等國際重要藝術平台。
FOCASA 馬戲團以「快樂與夢想的馬戲之 家」來定位，傳遞馬戲的勇氣、分享與希 望的正向價值，同時整合馬戲創作、策展 與培育三個面向，致力於在台灣建立一個 健全與永續的馬戲生態。
Founded in 2011, FOCASA Circus is Taiwan’s first professional contemporary circus company, dedicated to advancing the art of contemporary circus. Since 2017, the troupe has been recognised for nine consecutive years by Taiwan’s Culture and Arts Foundation as a recipient of the Taiwan Top Performing Arts Groups grant programme.
During the past 15 years, FOCASA Circus has pioneered and cultivated the contemporary circus scene in Taiwan, transforming the island into fertile ground for the genre’s growth. The company stages more than 100 performances annually, and has performed in 100 cities across 30 countries. FOCASA Circus has appeared on major international stages including the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and the Festival OFF Avignon.
FOCASA positions itself as a joyful and dreamfilled circus company, championing the values of courage, sharing and hope through circus arts. The troupe integrates creation, curation and talent development to foster a sustainable and thriving circus eco-system in Taiwan.

How FOCASA Changed the Circus Scene in Taiwan and Beyond

着一窗綠意、一排排書架一塵不染。林懷 民笑說：「現在好不容易才收拾好！之前 被這幫小孩弄得一團亂。」他瞟了瞟身旁 的林智偉，眼裏絕無嗔怪之意。坐在大師
身畔的林智偉顯得溫和、靦腆，讓人難以 想像，這個稚氣未脫的青年，身上竟肩負 着四十個人的活計。
林智偉和 FOCASA 馬戲團的故事，還得從 十五年前說起。 2011 年，林智偉初出茅 廬，便與一夥志同道合的同伴一起成立
了 MIX 舞動劇坊。沒有選擇一般特技生從 事的街頭或郵輪賣藝，為的是一口氣：要 證明「特技」也是一種表演藝術。當時的

One of them is Lin Hwai-min, founder of the legendary Cloud Gate Dance Theatre. “It took me ages to tidy up after the kids made a mess!” The younger man next to him, Lin Chih-wei, answers with a shy smile, which belies a strong-willed tenacity that has kept a 40-strong troupe going for so long.
The story of Lin Chih-wei and the FOCASA Circus goes back 15 years to 2011, when a fresh-out-ofschool Lin and a group of like-minded friends founded MIX Dance Theatre. Instead of pursuing street performances or cruise ship gigs, they had a bigger mission: to prove that acrobatics is a legitimate form of performing art. At the time,

這麽一個混合了街舞、戲劇、特技還有少 年郎犟勁的團體。這種特質也被後來更名 為 FOCASA 的馬戲團沿襲下來：「很多外
國馬戲演員只要專攻一種動作就可以了。
丟球就是丟球，踩高蹺就是踩高蹺——但 我們甚麼都要會。」
就是這股狠勁，讓他們比別人累上了一 倍，也讓他們獲得一次天作之合的機緣。
一提到和 FOCASA 之間的淵源，林懷民的 眼神就亮了起來——儘管這故事他已說了 無數次。在 FOCASA 創團之初，團員連個 練習的地方都沒有，只能在公園練習。林 懷民知道了，就慨然借出雲門舞集的排練 室，讓這班為理想而拼盡全力的年輕人， 有了追夢的空間。
2019 年，林懷民從一手創辦的雲門退下 來，不帶走一片雲彩。但為了幫助在疫 情期間陷入窘境的他們，他又破例「出 山」，又拉來了繪本作家幾米，促成《幾 米男孩的 100 次勇敢》這部雲集各路高手
的作品——這部作品更很可能是林懷民真 正的告別舞台之作。
street dance was all the rage and many young people, including Lin, were captivated by B-boy culture. MIX combined street dance, theatre, acrobatics and youthful grit—a spirit that was carried over when they regrouped as FOCASA Circus a few years later. “Most circus performers in the West would specialise in one move. If you’re a juggler, you just juggle. If you’re a stilt-walker, you walk on stilts. But we do it all,” Lin says.
This meant they had to work twice as hard as others—but it also brought unexpected opportunities. Lin Hwai-min instantly lights up at the mention of his connection with FOCASA— despite having told the story countless times. In their early days, the FOCASA members had to train in public parks as they could not afford a space of their own. This is when Lin Hwai-min stepped in. He handed them the key to his rehearsal studio—and a site to pursue their dreams.
In 2019, Lin Hwai-min retired from Cloud Gate, but decided to return to the scene when he found that FOCASA was struggling to stay afloat during Covid. He brought in Jimmy Liao, the beloved picture book writer and artist, to visualise and create a performance that would draw in audiences from all walks of life—a work that might well be Lin’s final stage work.

以幾米的人物、繪畫來貫穿整部戲，加上 小丑和絢爛的色彩，表面上很符合馬戲團 的既定印象；但在技術層面上，這部作品
其實和馬戲的傳統準則大不相同。首次執 導非舞蹈作品，林懷民表示，其中一個挑
戰來自兩種藝術形式的不同：「馬戲是爆 發式的，舞蹈卻是詩意的。所以我讓他 們上了很多課。」一般馬戲作品雖然也有
音樂，但主要是依賴強勁的節拍來帶動動 作；《幾米男孩》卻以音樂為主導，有莫 扎特，也有《加勒比海盜》配樂和台灣流 行曲，不拘一格的選曲被行雲流水的動作 串連起來，當中有舞蹈的呼吸、舞蹈的 節奏。
如果說 FOCASA 早期的作品是為藝 術而藝術的「文青戲」，《幾米 男孩》則是真正為觀眾而做的 戲。「以前一心想做『真正的 藝術』。後來有一位前輩和我 們說，這世上有錢人很多，能讓人 開心的人卻不多。」這句話讓林智 偉茅塞頓開，也和林懷民的想法不 謀而合：「執導馬戲作品最大的不 同？就是這次很開心！」
屈指一數，林懷民第一次來港演 出，竟已是五十年前的事。所以這 次演出，對林懷民來說還有一重特 別意義。「我希望親自來香港，向 這裏的觀眾好好做一次告別。」

The result is OnetoOneHundred:ABraveJourney, a beautiful work that epitomises the circus arts at their most pure yet manages to defy all conventions. While the show, based on Liao’s artwork, features clowns and vibrant visuals that are typical of the circus, it breaks away from the circus arts in a fundamental way. Lin Hwaimin says the main challenge in directing a nondance piece comes from an underlying distinction between the two art forms. “Where dance is a lyrical art form, the circus is inherently explosive, so I had the FOCASA kids take lessons to attune their bodies.” And unlike most circus shows, OnetoOneHundred is driven by music, with a delightfully eclectic soundtrack that ranges from Mozart to Taiwanese pop and the Pirates oftheCaribbean score. This entails a rhythm and breathwork that is entirely different from the art of circus.
While FOCASA’s early works were more about “art for art’s sake”, OnetoOne Hundred is a show truly made for the audience. “We used to be so focused on making ‘real art’,” Lin Chih-wei recalls. “Then a mentor of ours told us, ‘There are plenty of wealthy people in the world, but few who can make others happy’.” These happened to be Lin Hwai-min’s thoughts all along. When asked about the biggest difference in directing a circus production, he says: “The difference? I had fun this time. What’s more important than making our audience happy in a circus show?”
It's been 50 years since Lin Hwai-min first performed in Hong Kong, so this performance holds special meaning for him. “I hope to come to Hong Kong in person and give the audience here a proper farewell.”

林懷民從亞洲傳統文化汲取靈感，創作的 當代舞作《薪傳》、《九歌》、《水月》、 《流浪者之歌》、《稻禾》與「行草三部曲」 等多部作品享譽全球舞壇。《泰晤士報》稱 讚他是「當代最重要的編舞家之一」。 2013
年，林懷民獲頒素有「現代舞諾貝爾獎」 美譽的美國舞蹈節終身成就獎。
林懷民是台灣和香港六所大學的榮譽博 士、英國聖三一音樂與舞蹈學院榮譽院 士，曾獲美國洛克斐勒三世大獎、法國藝 術與文學騎士勳章、德國舞動國際舞蹈節 終身成就獎、國際表演藝術協會卓越藝術 家獎、行政院文化獎、蔡萬才台灣貢獻 獎，並獲選為《時代》雜誌「亞洲英雄人 物」。

Director Lin Hwai-min
Originally a renowned writer, Lin Hwai-min formally began his dance training while studying in the USA. In 1973, he founded Cloud Gate Dance Theatre, Taiwan’s first professional dance company, and later established the Department of Dance at the Taiwan Institute of the Arts (now the Taipei University of the Arts) in 1983.
Drawing inspiration from traditional Asian culture, Lin created numerous contemporary dance works, including Legacy, NineSongs, Songsof theWanderers and MoonWater. His works have received widespread acclaim. TheTimes of London has praised him as “one of the most important choreographers of our time”. In 2013, Lin was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Dance Festival, often regarded as the “Nobel Prize of modern dance”.
Lin has received numerous honours, including honourary doctorates from six universities in Taiwan and Hong Kong, an Honorary Fellowship from the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance (UK) and the John D. Rockefeller 3rd Award (USA). He was also named one of TIME magazine’s “Asian heroes”.
Cloud Gate Dance Theatre performed a selection of Lin Hwai-min’s works at the HKAF in 2019, with Lin retiring from leading Cloud Gate at the end of that year. OnetoOneHundred:ABraveJourney, his first circus work, marks his return to the stage.

Original Author Jimmy Liao
One of the most influential picture book artists in the Chinese-speaking world, Jimmy Liao made his debut in 1998 with SecretsintheWoods and A FishThatSmiledatMe. He later gained widespread recognition with classic works such as TurnLeft, TurnRight, TheMoonForgets and SoundofColors.
During the past 20 years, Liao has published more than 80 books, with more than 200 international editions translated into multiple languages. His works have received prestigious awards in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Belgium, Spain, Sweden and Portugal. These include Silver Stars of the Peter Pan Prize in Sweden, the Bologna Ragazzi Award (Cinema Category) in 2020 for TheTheaterofTime, and nine consecutive nominations for the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award, one of the most prestigious honours in children’s literature.
Liao’s artistic style is known for its poetic imagery, emotional depth and broad thematic range, making illustration a literary language of its own. His ability to blend warmth with a touch of melancholy has resonated with readers worldwide. In recent years, he has also explored oil painting and sculpture as additional forms of artistic expression.

Lin Chih-wei
Lin Chih-wei brought together a group of likeminded performers to establish Taiwan’s first contemporary circus company in 2011. Its debut production, UnwrittenChoreography (2012), quickly gained international recognition, leading to FOCASA’s first overseas performance in France.
Since FOCASA’s founding, Lin has taken on multiple roles within the company—including performer, Director, Executive Producer and Artistic Planner— driving the development of contemporary circus arts in Taiwan. Under his leadership, FOCASA has become one of Taiwan’s few salaried performing arts ensembles, employing more than 30 full-time artists.
FOCASA’s achievements include an annual performance schedule of more than 100 shows, and it has performed in 100 cities across 30 countries.
In 2023, Lin launched the FOCASA Circus Festival, Taiwan’s first contemporary circus festival.
In 2024, Lin was selected as a Taiwanese Fellow in the International Society for the Performing Arts’ Global Fellowship Program, representing Taiwanese circus arts on the international stage.
In recent years, Lin has been actively engaged in circus education and talent development, working to establish a sustainable training ecosystem for circus artists in Taiwan.

Lin Ching-ju
As an experienced costume designer in Taiwan’s theatre scene, Lin Ching-ju has collaborated with locally and globally renowned troupes for the past 40 years. Her work encompasses dance, theatre, opera, traditional xiqu, puppetry and inter-media performances. In 1992, she was supported by the American Fulbright Commissions and Cultural Arts Foundation to further her studies in New York for a year, and worked in the wardrobe departments of the New York City Opera and New York City Ballet. She was awarded Taiwan’s 10th Award for Arts in 2006.

梁春美為前台北藝術大學舞蹈系舞蹈伴奏講師，曾 擔任雲門舞集音樂總監、林懷民創作助理。她在 2019 至 2023 年於日本吉卜力動畫公司創作音樂；在 2023 至 2024 年擔任台中歌劇院高年級生舞蹈音樂 課程教師，同時參與蔣勳唐詩宋詞有聲書的音樂創 作、擔任亞太青春編舞營的音樂總監與執行，共同 創作並發行現代舞伴奏音樂專輯。梁春美 2002 年參 加東京電子音樂賽並獲獎，2011 年獲奈良國際音樂 作曲比賽特別獎。

Liang Chun-mei was the former Music Director of Cloud Gate Dance Theatre and Creative Assistant to Lin Hwai-min, and worked as a dance accompaniment lecturer at the Dance Department of the Taipei University of the Arts before. From 2019-23, she worked as a music composer for Studio Ghibli and from 2023-24 worked as a dance music course teacher for senior students at the Taichung Theater. At the same time, she also acted as music composer for audiobooks of Tang and Song poetry by Chiang Hsun, Music Director and executive of the Asia-Pacific Youth Choreography Camp, as well as publisher and co-creator of an album of modern dance accompaniment music. She has been recognised with various awards for electronic music and music composition.

王奕盛
王奕盛，台灣藝術學院（現台北藝術大學）劇場設計 學系舞台設計藝術學士，倫敦中央聖馬丁藝術與設 計學院新媒體藝術碩士，現任中國信託文教基金會 董事、台北藝術大學劇場設計系兼任助理教授。他
曾任 2022 年台灣燈會《武營晚點名——島嶼記憶． 光舟劇場》視覺總監、2019 年布拉格劇場設計四年 展台灣館策展人。
王奕盛長期與各大表演藝術團隊合作，作品曾包攬 世界劇場設計展投影設計金、銀、銅獎，英國光明 騎士獎劇場影像設計首獎，美國繆思設計大獎金 獎，法國 NDA 數位藝術與平面設計銀獎，以及第十 屆台新藝術獎表演藝術獎。
Visual Designer
Wang Yi-sheng
After graduating from the Department of Theatrical Design and Technology at the Taipei University of the Arts, Wang Yi-sheng obtained his Master’s degree in Arts and Cultural Enterprise at the Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design under the University of the Arts London. He is currently the Director of the CTBC Foundation for Arts and Culture as well as a part-time assistant lecturer at his alma mater TNUA in the Department of Theatrical Design and Technology. He served as Visual Director for the 2022 Taiwan Lantern Festival’s WeiwuyingLights Up:TheIslandofMemories, as well as the curator of the Taiwan exhibition at the Prague Quadrennial of Performance Design and Space in 2019.
Having engaged in long-term collaborations with major performing arts groups, Wang’s work is highly regarded, receiving gold, silver and bronze awards for video and projection design at World Stage Design, the first prize in theatre production design at the Knight of Illumination Awards, the gold award at the MUSE Design Awards, the Silver Novum Design Award for digital art and graphic design, and the Performing Arts Award at the 10th Taishin Arts Award.

沈柏宏畢業於台灣大學戲劇研究所。近年合作對象 包括鄭宗龍、許芳宜、巴羅克室樂團、上海音樂學 院、故事工廠、亮棠文創、表演工作坊、秀琴歌劇 團、唐美雲歌仔戲團、薪傳歌仔戲劇團、明華園戲 劇團等。他還參與了任祥《 Forever Young 》音樂 會、主磐娛樂《女人心》音樂劇場、康康「狂響曲」 Legacy 演唱會、世界宗教博物館《山海天人——我 在自然裏》特展，以及台灣文藝獎贈獎典禮等項目。
Lighting Designer Shen Po-hung
Shen Po-hung honed his craft at the Graduate Institute of Drama and Theatre at Taiwan University. Some of his recent collaborations include works with Cheng Tsung-lung, Sheu Fang-yi, the Baroque Camerata, the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, Story Works, Liang Tang Spirit, Performance Workshop, the ShiuKim Taiwanese Opera Troupe, the Tang Mei Yun Taiwanese Opera Company, the Shintrun Taiwanese Opera Troupe and the Ming Hwa Yuan Arts and Culture Group. He has also participated in Yao-jen’s ForeverYoung concert, the musical theatre HerStory produced by Majestic Grace, Kang Kang’s Legacy concert, the Mountains,Ocean andSky—NatureinMe exhibition at the Museum of World Religions and the Taiwan Award for Arts prize ceremony.

Stage Designer
Yang Shih-cheng
Yang Shih-cheng obtained his Master’s degree from the Department of Theatrical Design and Technology at the Taipei University of the Arts. His stage designs include the 31st Golden Melody Awards for Traditional Arts and Music, the Tang Mei Yun Taiwanese Opera Company productions of Zixu Fu, The Wind from the Heart, Butterfly Lovers, unCloud, 2021SwanBanquet and The DilemmaBetweenJusticeandRelationships. He was also involved in Taiwan Theatre & Concert Hall opera workshops such as TheSleeping Beauty, Hansel and Gretel and Variations on La Cenerentola, as well as the Ju Percussion Group 2’s Bean Babies Kids Concert Series of the MagicalBookofPercussion and the Dream FactoryofPercussion. Intercultural Dialogue’s original production of Matteo Ricci: The Musical, Perfect Match Theatre’s MRT, as well as Fantasy Theatre’s The Idea of North, are also among his many creations. His works have been shortlisted for the World Stage Design Awards several times.

The Hong Kong Arts Festival is a non-profit organisation. Income from ticket sales and government baseline funding can only partially cover the Festival’s costs for presenting and promoting the best performing arts from around the world. The Festival can only continue its work thanks to the generous support of its donors. Please support the Festival Donation Scheme so we can continue to present world-class international and local artists as well as offering diverse outreach and education activities.
The Hong Kong Arts Festival is a recipient of the HKSAR Government’s Art Development Matching Grants Scheme. Part of the Festival’s sponsorship and donation income will benefit from a dollar-for-dollar match by the Government.* Donations of any amount will make a difference, and are greatly appreciated!
