Westminster Basketball The Wildcat Way

Our mission is to create the most connected, skill-proficient, high-IQ basketball program in the country at Westminster while continuing our efforts to develop young men of great character and integrity. We view our program as a family, and naturally, roles and responsibilities shift as players advance through the program, but our commitment to their holistic growth is constant. We aim to be the most skilled and physically optimized team on the court while fostering vertical alignment in an environment that turns individual dreams into collective team success.

Strategic Shift Currently, our players in our program utilize over 20 different skill trainers and 12 strength coaches while competing on at least 14 different AAU teams. While this commitment is incredible, this fragmented approach can lead to conflicting instruction, inefficient development, and overtraining.

Over the past year, I have conducted an intensive study of basketball development practices worldwide. This included joining the EHCB (European Head Coaches Board) to study international player development and consulting with NBA front offices, as well as NCAA Division I, II, and III coaching staffs.
