Welcome to the 2023 spring issue of Wild Life, the magazine for Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust members.
The issue is a celebration of all the everyday heroes who go the extra mile to support the Trust in leading nature’s recovery in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. We shine a spotlight on a village community that helps thousands of toads navigate their local migration route each spring, as well as recognising the army of volunteers who got involved with our successful Secrets of the Solent marine project.
We also share the stories of five inspiring individuals who have contributed towards saving wildlife in different ways – donating either their precious time, skills, knowledge or funds – while our new President, Megan McCubbin, explains how she hopes to empower people into using their voice for nature.
