HITS OCALA YOUNG JUMPER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

Under this Program, any horse 7-Years Old or under may show in up to three “open” jumper classes at 65m-1 30m, and have the class fees waived for those classes See details below This is in addition to the Young Jumper 5-, 6- and 7-Year Old Jumper Classes that are already offered with a free entry fee Horses will be eligible to receive Prize Money in classes that offer it Special Classes, Classics, or classes restricted to Juniors, Amateurs, Child or Adult riders are not included in the program. Exception: a class shown “hors concours” will be eligible for the Program, but prize money will not be paid. Hunter and Equitation classes will not count for this program, and will not be credited

Horses must be age verified with USEF, declare their age when Registering with USEF/USHJA at the show, or have their age proven by their FEI Passport, Breed Papers or a statement from a licensed Veterinarian on official Letterhead

Horses must be Declared for the Young Jumper Program at the time of check-in each week, when back numbers are picked up for the show At checkout, Exhibitors must review accounts with the Show Office for class credits. Horses will be credited for the class fees for the three lowest priced classes eligible for the program. Example: if the horse shows in three “Non-Nominated” jumper classes, and one “Nominated” jumper class, the three “Non-Nominated” classes will be credited The Show office is not responsible for credits not issued for horses whose accounts are not closed out in the Show Office, or by email or remote method Horses not declared for the Young Jumper program at check-in will not be eligible to have their class fees credited

USHJA INTERNATIONAL HUNTER DERBY - Open to all Riders are limited to four (4) horses in this class Horses are not required to show in any other class at the competition, but may compete in any class for which they are otherwise eligible Owners, Riders and Trainers must be current Active Competing Members of USEF and USHJA. Horses must have USEF Recording and USHJA Registration. Change of rider after the First Round is not permissible. All horses must be enrolled or pay a non-enrolled horse fee of $150 to participate in any USHJA IHD class There is no limit to the number of non-enrollment fees Any non-enrolled horse fees paid will not be credited towards an enrollment fee for the current competition year

CONDITIONS & SPECIFICATIONS - Fences 3’6”-4’, with at least four (4) option fences 4’3” or higher per round To be judged under the Open Numerical scoring system by two panels of one judge each One Panel will be designated the tie-breaking panel for Round 1; this panel will also be the tie-breaking panel for the jump-off, if any. The other Panel will be the tie-breaking panel for Round 2. To be scored on quality, movement, jumping style, manners and way of going Pace and brilliance are to be rewarded Jumping decorations to utilize a shorter track is not permissible in any round

Round 2: To be shown over a Handy Hunter course of at least 10 fences In addition to the base score, each judging panel must award an Option Bonus Score consisting of one additional point for every higher height option fence jumped and a Handy Bonus Score between zero and 10 bonus points Scores will be added to determine the total score for the round In the case of ties, the Base score of the tie-breaking panel will be used to break the tie Scores from Round 1 and Round 2 will be added to determine the overall winners. In the case of a tie for First Place, a Jump-off will be held. In the case of ties for all other places, the Base score of the Round 2 tie-breaking panel will be used to break the tie

Round 3: In the case of an overall tie for First Place, a Jump-off will be held. To be shown over a course of at least 8 fences. Scoring to be the same as for the Handy Hunter Round. Jump-off score to be added to the total score from Round 1 and Round 2 to determine the winners.

POINTS & AWARDS - In order to earn USEF Horse of the Year points, exhibitors must declare in which section points are to count by submitting a completed USHJA Declaration Form to the Show Office by the end of the competition. Only Juniors and Amateurs may declare for the applicable Junior or Amateur-Owner section In order to earn points toward IHD Awards and Finals, horses must be enrolled in the International Hunter Derby program

ORDER OF GO - The Order of Go for the First Round will be drawn The Order for the Second Round will be reverse order of scores from Round 1 The Order for the Jump-off, if any, will be the same as that for Round 2.

WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY, ASSUMPTION OF RISK AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT

For and in consideration of United States Equestrian Federation, Inc. dba US Equestrian (“USEF”) allowing me, the undersigned, to participate in any capacity (including as a rider, driver, handler, vaulter, longeur, lessee, owner, agent, coach, official, trainer or volunteer) in a USEF sanctioned, licensed or approved event or activity, including but not limited to equestrian clinics, practices, shows, competitions and related or incidental activities and ________________________________(“USEF Event” or “USEF Events”); I, for myself, and on behalf of my spouse, children, heirs and next of kin, and any legal and personal representatives, executors, administrators, successors,, and assigns, hereby agree to and make the following contractual representations pursuant to this Agreement (the “Agreement”):

A. RULES AND REGULATIONS: I hereby agree that I have read, understand, and agree to be bound by all applicable Federation Bylaws, rules, and policies including the USEF Safe Sport Policy and Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policies (MAAPP) as published at www.usef.org, as amended from time to time.

B. ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF RISK: I knowingly, willingly, and voluntarily acknowledge the inherent risks associated with the sport of equestrian and know that horseback riding and related equestrian activities are inherently dangerous, and that participation in any USEF Event involves risks and dangers including, without limitation, the potential for serious bodily injury (including broken bones, head or neck injuries), sickness and disease (including communicable diseases), trauma, pain & suffering, permanent disability, paralysis and death; loss of or damage to personal property (including my mount & equipment) arising out of the unpredictable behavior of horses; exposure to extreme conditions and circumstances; accidents involving other participants, event staff, volunteers or spectators; contact or collision with other participants and horses, natural or manmade objects; adverse weather conditions; facilities issues and premises conditions; failure of protective equipment (including helmets); inadequate safety measures; participants of varying skill levels; situations beyond the immediate control of the USEF Event organizers and competition management; and other undefined, not readily foreseeable and presently unknown risks and dangers (“Risks”)

EQUINE ACTIVITY LIABILITY ACT WARNING: CAUTION: HORSEBACK RIDING AND EQUINE ACTIVITIES CAN BE DANGEROUS. RIDE AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Under the laws of most States, an equine activity sponsor or equine professional is not liable for any injury to, or the death of, a participant in equine activities resulting from the inherent risks of equine activities.

C. ASSUMPTION OF RISK: I understand that the aforementioned Risks may be caused in whole or in part or result directly or indirectly from the negligence of my own actions or inactions, the actions or inactions of others participating in the USEF Events, or the negligent acts or omissions of the Released Parties defined below, and I hereby voluntarily and knowingly assume all such Risks and responsibility for any damages, liabilities, losses, or expenses that I incur as a result of my participation in any USEF Events. I also agree to be responsible for any injury or damage caused by me, my horse, my employees or contractors under my direction and control at any USEF Event.

D. WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY, HOLD HARMLESS AND INDEMNITY: In conjunction with my participation in any USEF Event, I hereby release, waive and covenant not to sue, and further agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless the following parties: USEF, USEF Recognized Affiliate Associations, the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC), USEF clubs, members, Event participants (including athletes/riders, coaches, trainers, judges/officials, and other personnel), the Event owner, licensee, and competition managers; the promoters, sponsors, or advertisers of any USEF Event; any charity or other beneficiary which may benefit from the USEF Event; the owners, managers, or lessors of any facilities or premises where a USEF Event may be held; and all directors, officers, employees, agents, contractors, and volunteers of any of the aforementioned parties (Individually and Collectively, the “Released Parties” or “Event Organizers”), with respect to any liability, claim(s), demand(s), cause(s) of action, damage(s), loss, or expense (including court costs and reasonable attorney fees) of any kind or nature (“Liability”) which may arise out of, result from, or relate in any way to my participation in the USEF Events, including claims for Liability caused in whole or in part by the negligent acts or omissions of the Released Parties.

E. COMPLETE AGREEMENT AND SEVERABILITY CLAUSE: This Agreement represents the complete understanding between the parties regarding these issues and no oral representations, statements or inducements have been made apart from this Agreement. If any provision of this Agreement is held to be unlawful, void, or for any reason unenforceable, then that provision shall be deemed severable from this Agreement and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions.

24 riders will qualify by placing first, second, or third at one of the eight qualifying classes listed below. The 2025 winner of the ClipMyHorse.TV Hunter Classic automatically qualifies, and will be the 25th qualified rider. There will be no entry fee. Qualified riders can ride any horse of their choosing.

Two-round, traditional hunter style classic with 8-12 fences set at 3’6”. To be judged as a traditional hunter class by three panels sitting at different locations with one panel judging from the ClipMyHorse.TV live stream monitor. Each judge will give a score of 0-100 in the first round and the three scores will be combined with placings determined by the highest total scores. Top six riders from the first round will return for a second round. First and Second round scores will be added to determine the final results.

Ribbons will be awarded for placings 1-8 Prize Money will be distributed among the top 6 riders

All qualifying classes will be stand-alone and will consist of a 3'6" Hunter course. A rider can only qualify once. If a rider who is already qualified rides in a subsequent qualifying class and places 1-3, the next placed Riders may enter more than one horse in the qualifying events. There must be at least six entries in a qualifying event for it to count for qualifying for the Final. Unqualified rider in the class (4th, place, etc.) will qualify for the Final. If a rider places in the top three with more than one horse at a single qualifying event (i.e., places 1st and 3rd), that rider will qualify for the Final and the next placed unqualified rider (4th or 5th, etc.) in that class will also qualify for the Final. Riders will receive a score between 0-100. Riders will receive ribbons for 1st through 8th place. EQUINE

Protecting the health of your horse and other horses is of the utmost importance to HITS Beginning in 2013, HITS implemented Required Biosecurity Measures to decrease the risk of introduction and/ or spread of contagious or infectious disease at its shows

Horses must arrive only between the hours of 8 am-5 pm daily. Off-hours arrival must obtain permission from Show Management.

UPON ARRIVAL ALL HORSES MUST HAVE & PROVIDE

NEGATIVE COGGINS REQUIRED DATED WITHIN TWELVE MONTHS

Valid within (365 days) of the ending date of each show This includes horses that originate from the state where the event is being held All horses entering the Show Grounds must have a Negative Coggins on file. Coggins must reflect the horse's SHOW NAME.

PROOF OF VACCINATION

Via a signed statement from the attending veterinarian that the horse has been vaccinated against the following:

Within 6 months (180 days) of each show: Equine Influenza

Within 6 months (180 days) of each show: EHV 1 and EHV 4

If a vaccination will expire during one of the shows, the horse must receive its new vaccination prior to being issued a competition number for that show

HEALTH CERTIFICATE/CERTIFICATE OF VETERINARY INSPECTION Vermont & Virginia Only

The Vermont Agency of Agriculture and Virginia of Agriculture and Consumer Services require each horse originating from out of state to have a valid Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (Health Certificate) dated within 30 days of entry into Vermont or Virginia. For Vermont ONLY the following address must be listed as the Premises of Destination: Vermont Summer Festival, 3028 Route 7, East Dorset, VT 05253

PRESENTATION OF HEALTH REQUIREMENTS

The Equine Health Requirements are Required for all horses entering the Show Grounds both Showing and Non-Showing These documents must be filed in the Show Office before any competition numbers will be issued. In addition, random checks for Equine Health Requirements will occur Be sure to keep a copy of all of your horse’s Equine Health Requirements in an easily accessible spot (in your tack room or tack trunk, truck or trailer) to ensure you can comply with this requirement The results on all required papers must indicate the horse’s registered (show) name

Any horse not accompanied by these documents will be directed to the Show Veterinarian to obtain the required documents and/or vaccinations, and/or will be placed in quarantined stabling until the proper documents are obtained Any horse showing signs of fever/ illness/stress is subject to examination by HITS Officials and/or the Show Veterinarian, who may at their sole discretion, place the horse in quarantined stabling or take further action if deemed necessary

Health Documentation: All ship-ins/day trippers (showing or non-showing) must file the proper Health Requirements in the show office, and must be prepared to present those health records at any time while on the Showgrounds. Ship-ins/day trippers will be subject to random checks by HITS Staff. Keep a copy of all of your horse’s records in your truck or trailer to ensure you can comply with this requirement. If proper records are not immediately available, the horse(s) a.) must remain under HITS Staff observation until the paperwork is presented, or b ) will be asked to leave the grounds

Any horse on the grounds with a temperature of 101.5+ must be reported to the official show veterinarian. Upon veterinary examination, if diagnostic testing is deemed necessary, testing will be conducted at owner’s expense. If veterinarian suspects infectious disease after inspection, the horse will be required to go to isolation or off the property.

Poling: Manual poling, or the use of offsets, is prohibited on competition grounds. Per USEF GR843.

Show Weeks May Close: Exhibitors are advised that some show weeks may sell out. After the Closing Date of Entries, priority is given to exhibitors who enter two or more show weeks.

Awards: Ribbons will be awarded to eighth place in all Hunter and Jumper classes unless otherwise noted For Special Classes and Classics, see Prize Money Distribution on following pages

International Riders: All classes held during the 2025-2026 HITS Ocala Series will be run under National rules with regard to riders. If the capacity of International riders exceeds the National riders rule, riders will be accepted on a First come, First served basis All International Riders must have active, competing USEF and USHJA memberships as well as having completed SafeSport Training for Riders 18 and Older

HJ106.2: All horse regardless of show or non-showing are required to submit an entry with the Horse Show Office and wear or display the back number at all times. Any horse without a back number or with an incorrect back number will be asked to leave the area

Longeing: Horses must be longed in the official longeing area only. All horses must wear, or be accompanied with a visible entry number. No chasing, whip cracking, or plastic bags on whips. Stirrups may not hang from the saddle while longeing. Dangerous horses will not be permitted, and will be asked to leave. No phones or radios.

HUNTERS

Jog: Jogging will be conducted under HU118.3, Option A: Horses/ponies are required to trot a circle on a loose rein at the end of each over fences performance. Horses/ponies may be asked to return to the ring and trot another circle at the judge’s discretion. The following sections will not jog: Children’s, Adult, Hi-Low, Schooling, Baby Green, Young, Thoroughbred Hunter, Modified Junior/Amateur, Modified Children’s/ Adult, Pre-Children’s/Adult, Novice Child/Adult, Post Time Child/Adult, Short Stirrup, Schooling Pony, Green Schooling Pony Warm-Up: Ticketed warm-up schedule will be posted in the Show Office. Tickets are $30 each and will be billed to the back number worn at the ring. Schooling is prohibited in the show rings 2025 Zone 4 Specifications: (Check USHJA org for the most updated specs )

• Adult Amateur Hunter: Open to Adult Amateurs showing horses and/or ponies Riders may enter any Equitation class If showing in Amateur-Owner Hunter 3'6", rider may only show other horses that they own in the Adult Amateur Hunters If showing in Amateur-Owner or Hunter 3'3" (and not 3'6"), rider may show one horse they do not own in Adult Amateur Hunter Horses/ponies may cross enter into any class where otherwise eligible Fences 3'

• Adult Amateur Hunter Low: Open to Adult Amateurs showing horses and/or ponies Riders may enter any Equitation class, but may not cross enter into any hunter or jumper class with fences higher than 3’3” If showing in Amateur-Owner Hunter 3’3” or Adult Hunter 3’, rider may show horses they own, and one horse they do not own in the Low Adult Hunter division Horse/Rider combination may not cross enter into any class with fences higher than 2’9”

• Children's Hunter Low: Open to junior riders showing horses Riders may enter any Equitation class, but may not cross enter into any hunter or jumper class with fences higher than 3’3” If showing in Children’s Hunter 3’, Regular A-rated Pony Sections and/or Junior Hunter 3’3”, rider may show only one horse in the Low Children’s Hunter division Horse/Rider combination may not cross enter into any class with fences higher than 2’9”

Amateur Jumper: Amateurs may compete up to two horses, they do not own, per height section of Amateur Jumpers per competition There is no limit on the number of horses that may be ridden by the owner or an amateur member of the owner’s family

Declarations: Nominated Jumpers must declare the day prior to the class by 4 pm, online or in the Show Office. Late declarations will be subject to the Post Entry Penalty and may require the horse to work first or last in the order at management discretion Classes entered on the Entry Blank constitute a Declaration Jumper Tables: Refer to the Time Schedule Management reserves the right to change tables based on weather, entries or other criteria Time Allowed: The Time Allowed will be based on a speed of 360 yards per minute for Pony Jumpers, and 382 yards per minute for all other sections unless otherwise noted, and may be adjusted accordingly Draw Reins/German Martingales: Draw reins and German martingale may not be used in any competition/class restricted to Ponies, Juniors, and/or Amateurs, or by age of horse Draw reins and German martingales may only be used in a conventional manner when schooling or in classes with no prize money that are offered at 1.20m or below. Draw reins and/or German martingales may not be used on Ponies at any time when ridden by a Junior. No other head set devices (chambon, etc.) are permitted in any class. Ties: Ties involving first place will be jumped off. • Junior/Amateur Jumper 1.10m-1.15m: Open to horses and ponies The Horse/Rider combination is not eligible to compete in the Junior or Amateur Jumper Section or any jumper class 1 20m or higher that offers prize money at the same show. Fences at 1.10m-1.15m. If showing in the Junior/Amateur 1.15m Jumper Classic, rider may not show in the highest prize money class in any jumper division at 1.30m or higher at the same show

• Junior/Amateur Jumper 1.0m-1.05m: Open to horses and ponies The Horse/Rider combination is not eligible to compete in any jumper class above 1 15m at the same show Fences at 1 00m-1 05m If showing in the Junior/Amateur 1 05m Jumper Classic, rider may not show in the highest prize money class in any jumper division at 1 30m or higher at the same show

Special Hunter Classics: Judged on performance and soundness with manners and suitability emphasized To be scored under the open numerical judging system The top 15 (or 1/3) horses (ponies) from the first round will return to jump a second round in reverse order of their scores in the first round; lowest score going first and highest score going last. In case of ties, order of those tied will be drawn. Scores will be averaged from both rounds to determine the winners. In case of a tie for first place only, judges will confer to break the tie. All other ties will remain and riders will toss a coin for the ribbons.

• Separate Two-Round Classic: For the first round, each competitor will jump one round of approximately 10-12 fences at the required height.

• Designated First-Round Classic: A designated class of the division will be the first round of the classic. You must enter the classic prior to competing in First-Round class. Scratches are not permitted after the First-Round class has begun See Time Schedule for Designated First-Round class

Special Class Nomination/Declaration: Special Classes entered on the initial entry constitute a Declaration Horses must be entered the day before the class or pay the Special Class Post Entry Fee

Special Class Scratch: Any scratch must be made before the class starts or be accompanied by a Vet's Certificate. See "Rules & Regulations" for more information. Scratch fee will apply.

Order of Go: The Order of Go will be drawn. In the jump-off, if any, all horses will go in the original drawn order.

Attire: Formal attire required in Special Classes.

Trophy & Ribbons: 1-12 in Special Classes unless otherwise stated

GENERAL INFORMATION, RULES & REGULATIONS

CONDITIONS OF COMPETITION

Every class offered herein that is covered by the rules and specifications of the current USEF Rule Book will be conducted and judged in accordance therewith.

Life, senior active and junior active members shall be eligible to participate in all classes at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions at the Modified Level or above and Combined Driving Competitions at the Advanced Level, Dressage, Reining and Vaulting Competitions and Endurance Rides A non-member may participate as a handler, rider, driver, owner, lessee, or agent at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions, Dressage Competitions, Reining Competitions and Combined Driving Competitions upon payment of a Show Pass fee. Participants in the following classes are exempted from the Requirements of this rule: 1) leadline; 2) exhibitions; 3) games and races; 4) classes for 4-H members; 5) walk trot and academy classes (academy classes are classes limited to horses used regularly in a lesson program); 6) USDF introductory level tests, pas de deux and quadrille classes; 7) assistant handlers in Dressage Sport Horse Breeding classes.

USEF ENTRY AGREEMENT

By entering a Federation-licensed Competition and signing this entry blank as the Owner, Lessee, Trainer, Manager, Agent, Coach, Driver, Rider, Handler, Vaulter or Longeur and on behalf of myself and my principals, representatives, employees and agents, I agree that I am subject to the Bylaws and Rules of the United States Equestrian Federation, Inc (the “Federation”) and the local rules of HITS Ocala Holiday Series I agree to be bound by the Bylaws and Rules of the Federation and of the competition I will accept as final the decision of the Hearing Committee on any question arising under the Rules, and agree to release and hold harmless the competition, the Federation, their officials, directors and employees for any action taken under the Rules I represent that I am eligible to enter and/or participate under the Rules, and every horse I am entering is eligible as entered I also agree that as a condition of and in consideration of acceptance of entry, the Federation and/or the Competition may use or assign photographs, videos, audios, cable -casts, broadcasts, internet, film, new media or other likenesses of me and my horse taken during the course of the competition for the promotion, coverage or benefit of the competition, sport, or the Federation Those likenesses shall not be used to advertise a product and they may not be used in such a way as to jeopardize amateur status. ENTRY PROCEDURE

• Entries must be submitted online via Show Management System. FAXED, MAILED OR EMAILED ENTRIES WILL BE NOT BE ACCEPTED.

• Visa, MasterCard, Discover & American Express are accepted. A 3% convenience fee will be added to all credit card transactions.

• Horse Deposit Fee, Stall/Ship-in Fee and all other applicable fees on the Entry must be submitted with the Entry or the Entry will be considered Late.

• Entry must be submitted in its entirety with all required information including Prize Money Payee.

ENTRY POLICY

• Horse Deposit Fee will be credited to the horse’s entries only if the Entry is received by the Closing Date and meets the Entry Procedure

• Entries received after the Closing Date will be Late and subject to the Post Entry Penalty.

• A Signed Open Check or Credit Card Authorization must be lodged with the Show Secretary every week before Numbers are issued

• Accounts must be closed at the end of each show week. Management will close Exhibitor Accounts that have not been settled at the conclusion of each show Billing questions or refunds will not be considered

• Back numbers will not be issued until previous week balances are closed

• Exhibitors are encouraged to close out their account in person. Exhibitors who do not close out in person automatically authorize HITS to close their account using the Credit Card on file. Billing questions or refunds will not be considered after the conclusion of the show.

• The Horse Show policies herein stated regarding scratches and refunds will be followed regardless of weather and in place of GR 912

• An All Inclusive Facility Fee of $125 will be assessed to all showing horses This fee entitles the horses to unlimited adds / scratches according to the add/ scratch policy (does not apply to Special classes) as well as access to riding and lungeing areas, Night Watch and qualified Medical Personnel during the hours of the shows

BILLING POLICY:

• All entry, stall, feed, and other charges are to be paid weekly and, without exception, must be paid in full by the end of any consecutive showing weeks.

• Prize money won will only be applied if the payee has been provided with a proper SS# or Fed Tax ID# and completed W-9, or W8-BEN. Net Prize Money credits will be issued as a check within 30 days as required by USEF and mailed or hand-delivered during consecutive weeks of showing and will be valid for 60 days from issuance Reissuance of checks must be requested within 90 days

• At the end of every calendar year, tax-eligible prize money recipients will receive an IRS Form 1099-MISC reporting taxable prize money income for that year.

TRAINER’S BARN ACCOUNT

• Trainers must create a "Barn Account" Entry if ordering tack stalls, paddocks, RVs, Feed/shavings to be split

• Complete a "Barn Account" Entry for each week you will be showing

• Individual owners/riders should add miscellaneous items such as extra stalls, paddocks, RVs, etc., to their horse's Entry Form.

ENTRY CLARIFICATION

• Classes may only be entered or declared by using a Class Number. A Class Number written on the Entry Form, Add Scratch Form, or Barn Add/Scratch Form or submitted online constitutes a Class Entry or Class Declaration.

• An entry with incomplete information for horse, owner, rider or trainer such as a horse entered as “Entry” or “TBA” or any such derivative, will be subject to the $50 Incomplete Entry Fee An entry with missing USEF/USHJA or signatures is also subject to this fee

• Equitation riders must ride the horse and wear the number of the horse they have entered to ride There is no penalty for the rider to scratch an Equitation Class from one horse and add it on another horse. Exhibitors who enter an equitation class on one horse and ride or wear another horse’s number will be charged on both horses

• Any exhibitor who does not compete in a class in which he/she is officially entered, and does not scratch according to the Scratch Procedures outlined, will be billed for the class

• Horses shown in a class without being officially entered will be assessed a penalty as shown below.

• Exhibitors are responsible for a knowledge of the Rules and Regulations governing the Horse Show and for their own errors and omissions. In the case of a violation of a cross entry restriction, the exhibitor will forfeit the entry fee, class placing and prize money award.

• Show means the Show Week

• Non-Showing Horses must be properly entered, wear a back-number and provide coggins and vaccinations, and will be charged $50 per week

UNPAID CHARGES

• Any exhibitor leaving the show with an unpaid balance will be billed for these charges and a $50 check out fee will be added to the total due. Until these charges are settled, all further entries of rider and owner will be returned.

ADD/SCRATCH/CHANGE: Any class add, scratch, or change, or any complete Show Scratch must be made online or in writing in the Show office on an official form, or by email and received prior to the start of the applicable class or show. Scratching a class "at the gate" is not considered an official scratch. Once a class or division begins, it may not be scratched, except for a Vet Scratch. If a Vet Scratch, the horse must be scratched in the Show office on the day of the class and the Official Show Vet's Certificate must be received that day. Scratch Fee will still apply. A class that has been closed may not be scratched. Declarations close at 4 pm daily for the next day's classes.

COMBINING, DIVIDING OR CANCELING DIVISIONS, CLASSES OR CLASSICS: The Decision to Combine, Cancel or Divide classes will be made at the discretion of Show Management within one hour of the close of the Horse Show Office the night before the class. The update will be noted on the “How Many” schedule on the website

• Combining: Once a class/classic/division has been combined due to insufficient entries, it will not be re-divided for additional entries on the day of the class.

• Dividing: A class/classic/division that has been offered as split may be combined on the day of if scratched entries warrant. Management has the right to run all sections of the class/classic/division in their entirety before pinning if insufficient entries seem likely.

• Canceling: A class/classic/division that has been cancelled due to insufficient entries will not be reinstated for additional entries on the day of the class.

NON-NEGOTIABLE CHECKS

• Returned Checks or Credit Cards, for any reason, will be assessed a penalty of $50 or 10% of the face value of the check/credit card charge, whichever is greater. Upon notification, exhibitors will have three days to make full payment, including penalty, in certified funds, cashier's check, money order, or credit card. A 3% Retail Adjustment will be applied to all Credit Card transactions. Sanctioning organizations will be notified if exhibitors fail to pay in full within three days. A monthly service fee equal to 18% per annum will begin accruing after 30 days. Note: First time returned checks will automatically be redeposited

• A declined credit card will be resubmitted within several days.

• A closed account, Stop Payment, incorrect or incomplete credit card information or a chargeback will be turned over to sanctioning organizations immediately

• Cash Only may be required if you have previously given a non-negotiable check to HITS

PRIZE

MONEY:

Prize Money will be applied to entries. The Payee will default to the Owner, if the Prize Money Recipient is not provided on the submitted entry. A valid Social Security or Federal ID number and complete mailing address must be provided. If the SSN/EIN has not been provided to the show office within 90 days of the competition, it will be forfeited. Net Prize Money credits will be issued as a check and will be mailed or hand-delivered within 30 days after the Show, thereby ending the show's responsibility Exhibitors: Please verify the correct payee and mailing address is recorded in the Show Office. HITS is not responsible for checks lost or issued to incorrect payees.

• If the SSN/EIN is not provided, Prize Money will be withheld until SSN / EIN is provided

• If the IRS has notified us of a discrepancy in Payee name or SSN / EIN prize money will be withheld until the discrepancy is resolved.

• If an outstanding balance exists on an account, prize money may be withheld.

• If the SSN/EIN has not been provided to the show office within 90 days of the competition, it will be forfeited. Prize Money will not be reissued after 90 days.

• Prize Money won by Foreign Exhibitors is subject to the U.S. Internal Revenue Service regulation requiring sporting events to withhold 30% of prize money. Foreign exhibitors should apply for a Social Security number and will be asked to complete Form W-8BEN prior to receiving prize money.

• Prize Money is awarded through 6th place in hunter classes and through 8th place in jumper classes A class that pays based on a number of entries will pay based on the number of on-time entries and post entries will not be included in the number used to determine the payout

• A class with fewer than three entries will not award prize money

MOVE IN / MOVE OUT DATE

RESTRICTIONS: Arrival for stabling, paddock and RV assignments must be between the hours of 8 am - 5 pm daily. Off-hour arrival allowed only with prior approval of Horse Show Management

• Weekly Items - May be occupied Monday, 3 pm to the following Monday, 8 am of each Show Week Arrival prior to Monday at 3 pm will incur a charge for early arrival, and must be organized through the Stabling Manager

• Exhibitors staying multiple weeks may occupy their stalls/RVs/Paddocks all day Monday between weeks.

PADDOCKS: Approximately 100 turnout paddocks will be available. Preference will be given to Circuit Paddock reservations. Please order online or email Stabling@HITSShows.com. Each paddock has its own gate and exhibitors should bring their own locks to secure their paddocks. A limited number of extralarge paddocks will be available for an additional $100/week or $500/circuit or series After the closing date of entries, paddock fees are non-refundable. STABLING: Stalls should be ordered when submitting entries online. Please confirm total stall count via Stabling@HITSShows.com. Tent Stalls are approximately 10'x10' or 10'x12' (Bronze & Silver), or 12' x 12' (Gold), under tents, with doors, dirt floors. Permanent Stalls are approximately 12'x12', with doors, dirt floors. Stall Fees are non-refundable after the Closing Date of Entries. Any stall order made by Entry, Fax, Email or other method will be considered an official stall order and exhibitors will be responsible for payment. Stalls are not transferable or sublettable except within the same trainer group. Stalls may be stripped or reconfigured at HITS discretion. Please contact our office with your plans and we will work with you to arrange the best options. Any showing horse, that has not purchased a stall from HITS will be assessed the Ship-in fee per week. • Stall Customizations: As part of HITS ongoing commitment to ensure the safety of all participants, particularly the horses in this instance, as well as reserving the integrity of our facilities, we are implementing important updates to our stabling guidelines These new guidelines apply to all events We kindly ask for your attention to the following points: Removal of Stall Customizations: Effective immediately, all customizations to the stalls, including but not limited to nails, screws, staples, eye hooks, plastic sheeting, metal wire, twine, and the like must be removed. The use of such materials, especially staples, poses significant risks to the horses and the integrity of our facilities. We strongly recommend the elimination, or at the very least, significant limitation of staples inside the stalls. Our goal is to ensure that all stalls are safe, clean, and in their original condition (minus the bedding). Responsibility of Competitors: It is the competitors' responsibility to ensure that their staff is fully informed of and complies with these updated guidelines. We encourage team leads to hold briefings with their staff to ensure everyone is aware of these changes and understands the importance of adhering to them Fines for Non-Compliance: In our efforts to maintain the highest standards of facility upkeep and animal safety, HITS will impose a fine of $500 for stalls that are not left in good condition. This measure is not intended to be punitive, but rather to underscore the importance of leaving the stalls in the same condition as they were found (bedding excluded). We believe this will encourage a collective effort towards maintaining a clean and safe environment for everyone, a form of pay-it-forward to all who utilize our stabling.

• Stall Alterations are strictly forbidden. The removal of stall tent side poles, side ropes and/or stakes/anchors is strictly prohibited. Any exhibitor found in violation will be issued a single warning If violation continues, Management reserves the right to remove from the Showgrounds all property belonging to or under the control of said violator. Further, Management reserves the right to bar any exhibitor found to be in violation from any further participation in the Horse Show without recourse to any refund of entry or stabling fees paid or due

• Refund of pre-paid fees will be given for show scratches received in writing, and adhering to the procedure above, prior to or on the Closing Date

• Refund for Horse Deposits, Stalls, Paddocks & RV Sites will not be given for entries scratched after the Closing Date. Exhibitors are responsible for any such outstanding fees

• If eligible for refund, a check will be mailed or the funds returned to the credit card on which the payment was made within 30 days of the completion of the Circuit

• Billing questions or requests for refund will not be considered after the conclusion of the show in question.

HITS SOCIAL MEDIA POLICY

• HITS encourages positivity in the use of social media platforms and urges persons posting information about HITS, its management, shows, exhibitors, officials, equine athletes, and others to exercise good judgment and think about the potential consequences of their posts and interactions on social media platforms. We urge those using social media to refrain from making derogatory, offensive, inflammatory, or false comments about other athletes, trainers, HITS and its management, our equine athletes, USEF, or any individuals associated with our HITS horse shows HITS reserves the right to remove third-party content from its social media platforms that violates its social media policy and in extenuating circumstances may block a user from HITS social media sites for repeated offenses of its policy

SERVICES

• Feed Store: Hay, grain and bedding may be purchased on the grounds For deliveries prior to or upon arrival, use the Feed Order form in the prize list Place orders by 2 pm for same day delivery. Discrepancies in billing or delivery will not be considered unless brought to the attention of the Feed Office within 24 hours of placing the order. No commercial feed or bedding source will be permitted to deliver on the HITS Ocala Showgrounds at any time.

• Horse Watch: Horse Watch extends from approximately 9 pm until 5 am daily. Horses will be checked approximately six times per night each night during Show Weeks. Trainers/owners should provide emergency contact information for Horse Watch personnel. Forms available in the Feed Office or in the Prize List on Feed Order form. Cell phone numbers for Horse Watch will be available in the Feed Office for trainers/owners to be able to contact Horse Watch personnel directly.

• Trainer's Splits: This service allows trainers to split the show charges for miscellaneous items to their clients Splits will be accepted until Friday at noon. Only items billed by the Horse Show such as feed, bedding, tack stalls, etc , will be split Only dollar amounts will be split and totals will be rounded up Splits will revert back to the trainer for payment if uncollected

• Exhibitor Check Cashing is no longer available Please make arrangements with local banks

GOVERNING LAW AND VENUE

• Any and all disputes related to or arising from HITS' management and/or operation of its horse shows shall be governed by the laws of the State of New York without giving reference to New York's conflict of laws principles. Any disputes that cannot be resolved by the parties shall first be subject to a mediation with a New York chosen mediator If mediation fails, the parties agree to present to arbitration at HITS' discretion under the American Arbitration Association, and if not Arbitrated, subject to litigation solely in the Courts of Ulster County New York The parties agree the time limit to object to horse show charges shall be thirty days from the close of the horse show for the week at issue. Any other claims must be brought within one year.

ASSOCIATION MEMBERSHIP & FEE REQUIREMENTS

MEMBERSHIP - PEOPLE

• Owner-Rider-Trainer: Must be ACTIVE COMPETING members of USEF and USHJA, or join at the show, or pay Show Pass fees Note: Owners and Riders are limited to ONE USEF Show Pass per competition year, Trainers MUST be members

• Adult or Amateur Status: Riders showing in classes restricted to Adults or Amateurs must have USEF Amateur Certification. Foreign Exhibitors must present documentation indicating their Amateur status with their home Federation and must JOIN USEF as ACTIVE COMPETING Members and Sign for Amateur Status

• Safe Sport: Beginning January 1, 2019, All Senior members of USEF will be required to complete Safe Sport training at USEF org before competing in a USEF Licensed competition An exhibitor will not be allowed to compete until this requirement is met.

• International Riders: All classes held during the 2025 HITS Ocala Circuit will be run under National rules with regard to riders If the capacity of International riders exceeds the National riders rule, riders will be accepted on a First come, First served basis. All International Riders must have active, competing USEF and USHJA memberships as well as having completed SafeSport Training for Riders 18 and Older. Reminder: USEF MAAP Requirements All USEF Life and Senior Active members, as well as participants who have regular contact with minor athletes, are required to comply with the U S Center for SafeSport training requirement, to be eligible to participate in the competition All participants must adhere to the U S Center for SafeSport Code, USEF Safe Sport Policy, and the Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policies More information about these can be found at USEForg

MEMBERSHIP - FARMS & OTHER ENTITIES: Farms, Partnerships, and any entities owning a horse competing in a USEF Licensed Competition must be Recorded with USEF, and one recorded owner of the entity must have a current USEF and USHJA Competing Membership

MEMBERSHIP - HORSES

• USHJA Horse Registrations: All horses competing in USEF licensed Hunter/Jumper/Equitation competitions must have or apply for a Registration Number from USHJA

• USEF Horse Recording: Horses earning points toward USEF HOTY Awards and/or Zone Awards, USHJA Hunter Derby and or competing in Grand Prix must be Recorded with USEF Annually or for Life Every horse must have at minimum USEF Horse ID

• Microchip: Beginning December 1, 2018, all horses competing in USEF licensed Hunter/Jumper/Equitation competitions must have a USEF-approved Microchip on file with USEF & USHJA. Horses will not be allowed to compete until this requirement is met.

• Measurement Card: Small Junior Hunters, Pony Hunters, Children's Pony Hunters, and Pony Jumpers must have valid USEF Measurement Card or copy of a valid Measurement Form, or be a measured at the show prior to showing Foreign Measurement cards are not acceptable as proof of Measurement

MEMBERSHIP HORSE FEES:

• High Performance Fees: Horses entered in Grand Prix are required to pay the $35 IHP Fee up to a total of the cap $420 per competition year. Please refer to the USEF website for additional information

The Exhibitor has the ultimate responsibility for proper registration of horse, owner, rider and trainer with USEF/USHJA and for entering the horse under proper ownership where points are concerned.

HEALTH & VETERINARY

• Sharps & Medical Waste: Appropriate Sharps Containers for the disposal of used Needles will be placed in all barns and tent stabling areas, at the end of aisles Sharps must only be disposed of in these containers Anyone found in violation of proper disposal or in vandalism or removal of any provided Sharps Container will be fined $100 and may face further penalties deemed necessary by Show Management. See GR1210.4 for complete details.

• Show Veterinarian: phone number will be posted at the Show Office.

• Equine Health Requirements will be enforced. All horses (competing or not) that enter the grounds must present the Health Entry Requirements which include coggins and Proof of Vaccination. All horses are subject to examination by HITS officials/designated representatives and/or state officials (collectively “officials”) for determining whether such animals are, or have been infected/exposed, or are likely to become infected with an infectious or contagious disease. If after such examination, officials have reason to believe that an animal’s health condition places other animals at risk, such officials, at their sole discretion, may quarantine such animal (and others that may have been infected/exposed) or, if appropriate, require that such animals be transported off the grounds. All participants agree to fully cooperate with event officials and abide by their decisions and instructions. Failure to comply shall be grounds for immediate expulsion and potential disciplinary action by organization, state/local or federal animal health officials. Any horse with a temperature of 101.5+ must be reported to official show veterinarian. Upon veterinary examination, if diagnostic testing is deemed necessary, testing will be conducted at owner's expense. If veterinarian suspects infectious disease after inspection, the horse will be required to go to isolation or off the property. SAFETY

• Emergency Medical Centers: the nearest Hospital & Trauma 1 Medical Center to HITS Post Time Farm is: Ocala Regional Medical Center - 1431 SW 1st Ave, Ocala, FL 34471 – 352 401 1000, 17 miles, 25 minutes by car

• Accidents Involving Competitors GR1317 In the event of a head injury due to a fall/accident at a licensed competition, the competitor may be prohibited from further competition until released by medical personnel In some cases, the competitor may not return to competition without a signed release from a licensed medical professional The competitor may be placed on suspension by USEF until this criteria is met Competitors are advised to familiarize themselves with this new rule

• Protective Headgear: It is compulsory for all persons at Federation licensed hunter, jumper or hunter/jumper competitions in all Hunter, Jumper and Hunt Seat Equitation classes, when mounted anywhere on the competition grounds, to wear properly fastened protective headgear which meets or exceeds ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials)/SEI (Safety Equipment Institute) standards for equestrian use and carries the SEI tag. It must be properly fitted with harness secured. It is the responsibility of the rider, or the parent or guardian or trainer of the junior exhibitor to see to it that the headgear worn complies with appropriate safety standards for protective headgear intended for equestrian use, and is properly fitted and in good condition, and the Federation, Show Committee and Licensed Official are not responsible for checking headgear worn for such compliance. GR 801.2,7.

• Motorized Vehicles: Minors who do not have a valid driver’s license which allows them to operate a motorized vehicle in the state in which they reside will not be permitted to operate a motorized vehicle of any kind, including, but not limited to, golf carts, motorcycles, scooters, or farm utility vehicles, on the competition grounds of licensed competitions Minors who have a valid temporary license may operate the above described motorized vehicles as long as they are accompanied by an adult with a valid driver’s license The parent/legal guardian or individual who signs the entry blank as a parent or guardian of a minor operating a motorized vehicle in violation of this rule are solely responsible for any damages, claims, losses or actions resulting from that operation Violations of this rule will be cause for penalties against those responsible for the child committing the offense. Wheelchairs and other mobility assistance devices for individuals with disabilities are exempt from this rule. The unsafe use of personal electronic transport devices, as determined by the competition officials and management in their sole discretion, that do not require a driver’s license to operate, including but not limited to segways, hover boards, and single wheeled scooters is prohibited on competition grounds Operating such devices in areas where people gather may be deemed “unsafe use” if there is a risk of harm to others If the operator of the device is a minor, the parent/legal guardian or individual who signs the entry blank as a parent or guardian of a minor operating the device in violation of this rule is accountable and may be subject to penalties. Wheelchairs and other mobility assistance devices for individuals with disabilities are exempt from this rule Electric Golf Carts WILL NOT be permitted to plug into any electrical outlet on the grounds. Violation will result in the plug or charger being confiscated by show management, and/or a Fine if deemed necessary

• Dogs must be restrained on the Showgrounds. Loose dogs will be picked up and detained and the owner fined $100. The owner may be barred from showing and expelled from the Showgrounds for a second offense, or for refusal to pay the fine, and will not be entitled to any refund of entry or stabling fees paid or due Management reserves the right to call Animal Control to have an animal removed from the premises

• Electrical/Fire Regulations: Electrical installation and connections must meet all state and county codes Aisles shall be maintained clear for a minimum of six feet wide by eight feet high. No obstructions or projections shall be allowed in these aisles. No Class I Flammable Liquids such as gasoline are allowed inside the buildings Cooking is not permitted within any stable area. Anyone found in violation shall be subject to dismissal from further participation in the Horse Show without recourse. Additional appliances are not permitted within any stable area. Anyone found in violation shall be subject to confiscation of the item(s), and/or a Fine if deemed necessary

• Damage: Owners and exhibitors shall be held responsible for damage caused by them, their agents or employees to stalls, buildings and other properties on the Showgrounds, and shall be billed accordingly

• Alcoholic Beverages in any form may not be brought onto the Showgrounds

DIRECTIONS: Interstate 75 to Ocala Exit #354 for Rt. 27 North. HITS Post Time Farm is 10 miles on the left.
