Airborne sound insulation indices R’w – Measurement of external sound reduction between two rooms in a building. In this case the emitting room was the office/showroom and the receiving room was the product. Testing covers a wide frequency range: 50 Hz to 5000 Hz.
Sound transmission classes STC – Standard test method for the measurement of airborne sound transmission loss of building partitions and elements. Method results in a sound transmission loss between two rooms. In this case the emitting room was the office/showroom and the receiving room was the product. Testing covers a wide frequency range: 50 Hz to 5000 Hz.
Speech level reduction indices – Method to facilitate the comparison of furniture enclosures with respect to their ability to reduce the speech level of the occupant speaking inside the product. Measurement consists of measuring the test signal produced by the sound source in an empty room while the product is absent. Afterwards the test signal produced by the sound source is located inside the product in the occupant’s position. The difference of the sound power levels measured is the level reduction. Testing covers a wide frequency range: 125 Hz to 8000 Hz.
