Characteristics that make them easy to be identiied: Kentucky coffee-trees have the largest leaf among all Canadian trees, the leafs can grow up to 60-90 centimeters. It produces a dark and leathery bean-like pod that contains around 4-7 seeds within and the size of its fruit is about 15 to 25 centimetres long. It’s a shade-intolerant tree, meaning that it’s usually found on the edge of a forest. And finally, most Kentucky Coffee-trees grow on floodplains(because the soil there is rich and moist).
