Welcome to the the Sport Management Newsletter! Welcome to the HPU Sport Management Insider! As we gear up for another exciting semester, we’re celebrating the progress, achievements, and Panther pride that define our community. Our alumni are making strides in the sports industry, excelling in everything from game-day operations to shaping the future of sports business.
The Sport Management Association is off to a strong start with a calendar packed full of exciting events designed to enhance professional development and networking. Women Leaders in Sport is also gearing up for a powerful semester of meaningful connections and celebrations, including National Girls and Women in Sports Day.
In this issue, we highlight Dr. Rundio, whose research on media narratives in women’s cycling is changing how we view investment and representation in sports. We also spotlight Wallace Reece, who demonstrates that the future of sport is in good hands.
The Sport Management Department at High Point University is excited for a semester of growth and achievement. We’re eager to embrace opportunities ahead and are confident that 2025 will bring new milestones for our students and community.
