Undergraduate Study 65 credit hours of foundational courses before entering the Pharm program.

YEARS 1 through 3 of Graduate Study*

Matriculation into the Fred Wilson School of Pharmacy begins each fall. During the first three years, students engage in rigorous classroom learning combined with experiential opportunities, designed to build a strong foundation of pharmacy knowledge and practical skills.

3 years

YEAR 4 of Graduate Study

Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences (APPEs): Applied hands-on learning in real-world settings.

1 year

Total Number of Years to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy Degree

High Point University’s Pre-Pharmacy major is designed to prepare you for acceptance into the Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree program in the Fred Wilson School of Pharmacy (FWSOP). This six-year track prioritizes your success by offering academic and hands-on practice experiences designed to boost your confidence, enhance your knowledge, and develop essential Life Skills, all while strengthening your academic expertise for a degree recognized by the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) as a gateway to over 100 career pathways. An undergraduate degree is not required for acceptance into our Doctor of Pharmacy program.
