After an incredibly successful auction in Kissimmee, Florida, Mecum Auctions will return to the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona from March 17-21. Kissimmee 2026 proved to be a home run for “The World's Largest Collector Car Auction,” with over $200 million in total sales for the fifth year in a row and $259 million in total sales on January 17, marking the highest single-day sales total in collector car auction history. The Bianco Speciale 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO, one of only 36 250 GTOs manufactured between 1962 and 1964, and one of the auction’s halo cars at Kissimmee, sold for a whopping $38,500,000. On the flip side, the Bachman Ferrari Collection, a stunning lineup of 46 Ferraris and two Alfa Romeos, sold for a total of $125 million, and also included record sales for several of the individual cars.

The upcoming Glendale 2026 auction will mark Mecum’s eighth time at State Farm Stadium, the only NFL stadium that hosts a collector car auction, with its inaugural 2019 auction setting a company-record of more than $39 million in sales. This year’s lots aim to continue the trend of setting records in the automotive auction space, with over 2,000 consignments, including 100 motorcycles. Those interested in taking one of those beauties home can purchase a standard bidder registration for $200, which includes bidder privileges and one guest badge for one calendar year. Even if you can’t make it to the auction in person but have your eye on a specific ride, Mecum offers internet and telephone bidding for those interested.

More of a window shopper? Opt for a spectator ticket at a cost of $22.50 when purchased online before the auction, or $30.00 on or after March 17. Children 12 and under receive complimentary admission. While it’s hard to pick specific head-turners from such a varied collection of consignments, there are a few that particularly caught our eye. For starters, Glendale bidders will have the rare opportunity to own a select few hot rods from the prized collections of the legendary Petersen Automotive Museum. These 1930s masterpieces have been sculpted by some of America’s most recognized automotive designers and customizers, including Boyd Coddington and Chip Foose, with four of them having earned the title of “America's Most Beautiful Roadster.” Fans of classic muscle cars and Americana icons should also take a gander at the Retro Garage Collection, headlined by a 1-of-300 1953 Chevrolet Corvette Roadster and the George Barris-designed, 1-of-12, 1973 Lincoln Continental Mark IV Bugazzi.

If you’re more into high-horsepower American legends, The Mile High Collection might be more your speed (pun intended). With icons like a 2025 Ford F-150 Raptor R and a real 1969 Dodge Daytona in the mix, there are plenty of opportunities to hit the pavement with a vengeance. Last, and more certainly not least, The John Lemmons Collection houses an eclectic mix of just about everything, including a 1-of-9,761 1954 Mercury Monterey Sun Valley, a 1984 Oldsmobile 98 Regency Sedan with acres of woodgrain and pillow-top seats, and one of the last bastions of full-size American luxury: a 2004 Lincoln Town Car Sedan Ultimate.

Scottsdale Art Week, Presented by Scottsdale Ferrari, Brings Global Horsepower to the Arizona Arts Scene

There’s never been anything like it in Arizona. It launched last year as the biggest new American art fair in decades. This year Scottsdale Art Week, presented by Scottsdale Ferrari, is building on that success when it returns Thursday March 19 through Sunday, March 22, 2026, at WestWorld of Scottsdale with art from more than 120 recognized global galleries.

Scottsdale Ferrari, the event’s presenting sponsor, will be displaying some of their amazing cars throughout the entire art fair. Scottsdale Ferrari is the only factory-authorized Ferrari dealer in the state of Arizona located at 18118 North Scottsdale Road.

This spectacular event takes place at WestWorld’s expansive North Hall, a 120,000-square-foot facility that also hosts the Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction.

The 2026 edition of Scottsdale Art Week will offer patrons unique modern and contemporary works as well as historic, and Indigenous art. There is also cultural programing on topics such as art collection care and preservation, photography, global market trends, LatinX art, Indigenous contemporary art, the relationship between art and design, and Western art.

Scottsdale Art Week will also feature automobile themed art

such as a car made of glass courtesy of the Bruno Art Gallery, and works created from Ferrari auto parts courtesy of Ferrari Gallery (not affiliated with the auto company).

The event will span four days starting Thursday March 19th. First Look offers collectors an exclusive VIP opportunity to acquire works for their collections, with early access to the fair from 1 p.m. – 6 p.m. March 19. An Opening Night Vernissage will follow from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. benefiting Phoenix Art Museum. The Opening Night Vernissage presents an opportunity for guests to view and acquire works before the public opening.

Friday, Saturday and Sunday see the event open to the public bringing global art to an emerging event which saw attendance top 14,000 in its inaugural year.

Just as Scottsdale is known as a destination for automobile enthusiasts, Scottsdale Art Week is establishing Scottsdale as a destination for art enthusiasts as this year’s event is one of the most glamorous new art fairs in the United States with works from y globally celebrated artists including Pablo Picasso, Damien Hirst, David Hockney, Alex Katz, and Kusama, among many others.

The 2026 Lucid Air Touring, Battery Efficiency Makes All the Difference!

The automotive industry has been served a massive juxtaposition in the past 15 years. Tesla was the first on the scene as a new, EV focused car manufacturer, which paved the way for many like Lucid, Rivian, and a number of others to varied success. Our 2026 Lucid Air Touring receives an EPA estimated 396 miles on a full charge, 620 horsepower and 885 lbs-ft of torque in the dual-motor, all-wheel-drive configuration. While the power numbers sound impressive, we also have to remember it comes wrapped in 6,283 lbs., making it about the same weight as a 2026 Cadillac Escalade-V and 400 lbs. heavier than a 2026 Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG. Despite the weight, you do

still feel the essential high-power EV acceleration, however living with the Lucid Air everyday, the acceleration numbers are more of a party trick than practical daily driving. The Lucid Air’s real performance comes in how the vehicle manages its battery reserves with incredible recharging efficiency.

Why all EV or hybrid vehicles from major legacy automotive manufacturers do not manage their electric power the same way as the Lucid Air is beyond understanding. Most recently, the Land Rover Range Rover Sport PHEV would run its electric power out completely, then you’re left hauling the hybrid drivetrain around with the internal combustion engine between plug-ins. On the other hand, the Lucid Air is all about battery management efficiency with aggressive regeneration, smart onboard systems management, and an incredibly large battery. Most impressive to our team was we were able to run our test vehicle without any issue, approx 400 miles, on just a standard 3 prong outlet with consistent overnight charging.

Pairing the excellent battery efficiency and easy entry level charging capabilities, with the vehicle’s driving experience, it is no wonder Lucid as an auto manufacturer has made such an impression in the industry for such a young company. It is important to remember with vehicles such as the Lucid Air Touring that you do not need fast 0-60 times, aggressive styling, and some flashy tricks to be a great vehicle. INEOS Grenadier Celebrates the Opening of its First Purpose-Built Retail Location in Arizona

As part of INEOS Automotive’s continued expansion across the United States, the company has partnered with Arrowhead Luxury Cars to mark the grand opening of a new, purpose-built INEOS Grenadier flagship facility in Arizona. INEOS Grenadier Arrowhead represents a significant milestone in the partnership, providing the brand with its first dedicated Grenadier retail and service location in the state.

While Arrowhead Luxury Cars has already been supporting Grenadier customers, the opening of this new facility establishes a permanent, purpose-built home for the brand in Arizona. The milestone was celebrated with a special showroom opening on Thursday, 29 January, featuring curated vehicle displays and guided tours of the 5,490 square foot state-of-the-art facility designed to showcase the Grenadier’s uncompromising capability and craftsmanship.

The 2026 Grenadier also benefits from upgraded climate control components to improve the performance and predictability of heating and cooling within the cabin, making it an even more comfortable place to spend time.

Advanced safety systems (ADAS) have been upgraded where required to meet the latest regulations. A new homescreen shortcut enables one-touch deactivation of the audible alert for the compulsory Intelligent Speed Assist, helping drivers to minimise unwanted distractions.

Supersports: The Most Driver-Focused Bentley Ever

New Supersports brings rear wheel drive and sub-two-ton weight to the Continental GT for the first time

100 years after the birth of the first Bentley ‘Super Sports’, the nameplate returns to Bentley for only the fourth Supersports model in history. The new Bentley Supersports is the most driver-focused Continental GT ever, with rear-wheel drive, a two-seat cabin and a gross weight below two tonnes. A non-hybrid, pure internal combustion powertrain has a new 657 bhp, 590 ft-lbs torque twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 at its heart, with power fed through an eightspeed double clutch gearbox to the rear wheels only. Carbon ceramic brakes, new 22” lightweight forged wheels developed with Manthey Racing and an Akrapovič full-length titanium exhaust system are standard, while Pirelli Trofeo RS tires are available.

The exterior represents the most purposeful Continental GT ever, with a series of form-following-function developments to maximize downforce and save weight. A new front bumper integrates the biggest front splitter ever fitted to a Bentley road car, and feeds cooling air to the engine and front brakes. Carbon fiber dive planes, side sills, fender blades and a rear diffuser and fixed rear wing combine to generate more than 300 kg more downforce than a Continental GT Speed. The weight saving regime extends to the roof, which is now a carbon fiber panel to also lower centre of gravity whilst maintaining structural stiffness.

Inside, the two-seat cabin features new, highly bolstered sports seats, positioned lower in the car, with the rear cabin environment replaced with a carbon fiber and leather shell. Monotone, duo-tone and tri-tone interiors are available, with extensive use of leather, Dinamica and carbon fiber for a performance-focused space.

Project Mildred

The new Supersports is the product of an idea that was first proposed in September 2024, when a small engineering team theorized how a rear-wheel drive, sub-two-tonne Continental GT might behave dynamically. Approval was given for them to build one test mule, which took to the track only six weeks later, to prove their concept. The performance of this key demonstrator was convincing, and the project to create the new Supersports was born – albeit under close guard and with a small and focused engineering team.

It was immediately recognized that the project needed a codename to keep it secret. For this, the team turned to inspiration from Bentley’s past, and the story of Mildred Mary Petre. Born in 1895, she was a record breaker on land, and sea and in the air as a racing driver, a powerboat racer and a pilot. In 1929, she drove a Bentley 4½ Liter around the Montlhery circuit in France, solo, for 24 hours. In so doing, she averaged almost 90 mph and established a new endurance record – a phenomenal achievement by today’s standards but even more incredible in the 1920s. She pushed the boundaries of what was possible with a fearless spirit, and so in her honor, the development team christened their new project: Mildred.

A Lineage of Performance

The word Supersports is a modern amalgamation of one of the most evocative names from Bentley history –“Super Sports” – first applied to a Bentley 100 years ago this year. The first Super Sports was launched in 1925 and based on the 3 Liter, with an uprated engine and shorter (and therefore lighter) chassis meaning it was the first Bentley capable of exceeding 100 mph. It also established the second aspect that defines “Super Sports” –rarity, with only 18 examples built.

Dormant for decades, the Supersports name – now one word - roared back to life in 2009 with a 204-mph revival, defining the pinnacle model of the first-generation Continental GT. This was the first two-seat variant of the Continental family, was 220.46 lbs lighter than the standard car, and the most driver-focused Bentley of the day.

It was eclipsed in 2017 by an even faster, more thrilling successor, based on the second-generation Continental GT. Like the first generation Continental Supersports it was powered by a 6.0-liter twin-turbo W12, but now generating 710 hp – making it then the most powerful Bentley ever. 710 examples were produced, to match the power output.

The previous generations of Supersports all defined the ultimate performance version of their respective model families. The new Supersports takes this approach in a different direction; rather than focusing on top speed, the target is maximum driver engagement, through a combination of weight reduction – the most extreme in Bentley’s history - and a new powertrain.

The First RWD Continental GT

The powertrain of the new Supersports is non-hybrid and purely Internal Combustion Engine (ICE). A new, strengthened 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 is the heart of the car – with a stronger crankcase, uprated cylinder heads and larger turbos. The changes yield the highest power density of any Bentley engine - 657 bhp with 590.05 ft-lbs of torque. Coupled to the engine is the ZF eight-speed double clutch transmission used across the Bentley model range, but redeveloped for the Supersports with uprated clutches and a new shifting strategy. Gear shifts are now sharper and more responsive, while the downshift strategy during braking has been precisely calibrated to deliver optimal stability and driver confidence.

The engine breathes though a full-length titanium exhaust which is tuned to be significantly more characterful than any previous Bentley. Developed in conjunction with Bentley partners Akrapovič and unique to Supersports, the complete system amplifies and tunes the cross-plane V8 note to be extremely compelling – deep, powerful and completely authentic, with no artificial in-cabin enhancement.

The sprint to 62 mph will be dispatched in 3.7 seconds, and top speed will be circa 192 mph (official verified figures will follow). More important that the headline figures though, will be how the Supersports behaves dynamically.

For that, Bentley’s chassis engineers have enjoyed the opportunity for a new level of driver engagement, by making the new Supersports the first rear-wheel drive Continental – except for the Continental GT3 race cars – in history. Power is fed exclusively to the rear wheels through an eLSD, out to rear wheels that have an increased track of 0.629 inches over a Continental GT. The eLSD is assisted by torque vectoring by brake, with the systems working together to make turn-in as sharp as possible and to give maximum traction. Rear-wheel steering is retained for maximum agility and stability, while the calibrations for the steering, suspension, traction management and ESC systems are all-new.

ESC settings allow the driver to select how much independence or assistance they would prefer – from fully-on, through a Dynamic Mode that allows a level of slip and oversteer within reactive limits, to fully-off – where the driver has complete control of the rear axle, and can provoke the Supersports into significant but highly controllable oversteer.

There are three new configurations to the Drive Dynamics Controller:

•Touring mode matches the performance character of the Sport mode in a Continental GT Speed, but pairs it with increased ride height, softer damping and a more discrete exhaust character.

•Bentley mode increases the performance character beyond Touring mode, with gearbox strategy, throttle pedal and chassis settings all uplifted. Exhaust system valves open to enhance sound, and launch control becomes available.

•Sport mode goes even further, with ultimate optimization for driver engagement and tuned for maximum chassis and powertrain response.

The chassis system uses aluminum double wishbones at the front with a multi-link rear axle, air springs, and new twin chamber dampers – ECU-controlled in bump and rebound independently. Bentley Dynamic Ride, the proprietary 48V electric anti-roll control system, can apply up to 958.83 ft-lbs of anti-roll reaction torque in 0.3 seconds. Braking is by the largest automotive braking system in the world – 17.32 inch Carbon-Silicon-Carbide (CSiC) discs on the front axle, clamped by 10-piston calipers, and 16.14 inch discs with four-piston calipers at the rear – fitted as standard. Calipers are black as standard, with a red-painted option available.

The Supersports comes with new, 22” forged and machined aluminum allow wheels developed in conjunction with specialists Manthey Racing, available in two finishes – Black Painted, and Black Painted and Machined (introducing a silver metal accent). Uniquely for the Supersports, two tire options are available: a standard Pirelli P-Zero tyre, and a new Trofeo RS performance tyre as an option. With Trofeo RS tires fitted, the chassis changes and weight savings mean that the Supersports can corner approximately 30% quicker than a Continental GT Speed, with up to 1.3g peak lateral force.

The new Supersports is nearly half a tonne lighter than the Continental GT, and will weigh less than 4,409.24 lbs. The most significant weight saving comes from the powertrain, with a reduction commensurate with the conversion to ICE-only propulsion and rear-wheel drive. The roof – usually aluminum – has been replaced with a carbon fiber panel, which saves weight and lowers the overall center of gravity.

Aston Martin Announce Breitling as Official Watch Partner

Breitling has been announced as Official Watch Partner of ultra luxury British automotive manufacturer Aston Martin, marking a compelling collaboration between two brands born from a fascination with speed and a meticulous attention to detail. Aston Martin and Breitling have joined forces to re-establish a connection that has been shared throughout history, with their stories moving in parallel for over a century.

The collaboration will span the worlds of design, engineering, and speed, culminating in the launch of its first timepiece in Q3 2026.

Parallels between the two brands date back to the earliest days of the automobile. In 1907, Leon Breitling introduced the Vitesse. French for “speed,” it was the first chronograph to measure speeds up to 250 miles or kilometers per hour. The device was so precise it was adopted by Swiss police to issue the first speeding tickets. A few years later in England, Lionel Martin and Robert Bamford were testing their hand-built sports car in a defining race up a steep, chalky slope – Aston Hill. The car won, and the name endured.

“Aston Martin and Breitling have crossed paths at key moments in design and culture,” says Adrian Hallmark, CEO of Aston Martin. “The partnership is a perfect showcase of excellence, design mastery and performance, something that is integral to everything that Aston Martin puts its name to.”

By the 1960s, both marques had become symbols of style and modern engineering. Willy Breitling, the founder's grandson, shook off the austerity of postwar watchmaking with another watch, the Top Time, a chronograph made for a new generation of speed- and style-seekers. When it appeared on Sean Connery's wrist in Thunderball (1965) as the first Q-modified gadget watch in the James Bond franchise, it became an emblem of the era. Aston Martin's DB5, which made its debut in Goldfinger (1964) and returned in Thunderball, did the same on four wheels. Appearing together in the same film, they captured the cultural fascination with James Bond's world, where sophistication met speed and high-tech intrigue.
