Extreme performance

At the heart of the Giulia Quadrifoglio Luna Rossa's extraordinary performance lies a newly developed carbonfiber aerodynamics package, engineered to maximise efficiency and stability without compromising top speed.

The entire car has undergone precise aerodynamic refinement performance, increasing downforce while preserving the model’s inherent balance. The result is a significant increase in load, distributed harmoniously and closely aligned with the standard configuration. This achievement stems from painstaking management of air flow. Every detail has been designed to guide the air with precision, reducing turbulence and exploiting every useful vortex to generate stability and efficiency.

The outcome is striking: Giulia Quadrifoglio Luna Rossa generates approximately 308 lbs of downforce at 186 mph, nearly five times higher than the production version.

Under the bonnet is the iconic twin-turbo 520-hp 2.9 V6, combined with a mechanical self-locking differential that optimises torque transfer, enhancing stability, agility and cornering speed, delivering a car that not only accelerates hard but tackles every corner with precision, embodying the perfect synthesis of aerodynamics, mechanics, and Italian passion.

Dedicated aerodynamics package

At the front, side appendages increase the load on the front axle by exploiting the accelerated airflow at the bumper edges. Additional underbody profiles generate a strong suction effect with a significant peak in load at the front, made possible by emphasis on the ground effect. Carbon-fiber side skirts seal the flow beneath the vehicle, further improving overall efficiency.

The defining feature is the spectacular dual-profile rear wing supported by two central pylons, inspired by the foils of the Luna Rossa AC75. While sailing foils lift the boat above water. Alfa Romeo has inverted this aerodynamic principle, transforming it into downforce that presses the car firmly onto the asphalt.

Alfa Romeo technicians have studied a profile with variable incidence to channel this high-energy vortex structure, obtaining a high aerodynamic load with a reduced surface area, to maximise the desired upwash effect.

The specific design of the dual profile therefore guarantees an increase in aerodynamic downforce with very high efficiency values, which enable the Giulia Quadrifoglio Luna Rossa to reach a top speed of 186 mph. A solution that combines formal elegance and advanced engineering, transforming the complexity of flows into pure performance. The integration of the solutions designed by Alfa Romeo technicians ensures an optimal aerodynamic balance of 40% on the front, which contributes to making driving dynamics even more precise.

Luna Rossa style: exclusive materials and unique details

The aesthetics of the special series are inspired by the color of the Luna Rossa AC75 boat that took part in the 37th America's Cup in Barcelona in 2024. The bodywork is hand-painted in an iridescent color, reproducing the metallic effect of steel. Overlaid with a two-tone livery featuring a red side band and “Luna Rossa” script. The Alfa Romeo brand logos on the front and rear have been modified specifically for this special series: for the first time in the brand’s history, they come on a red background. The 19" wheels are finished in a bespoke red tone, matching interior accents, while the roof, shield and mirror caps are made of visible carbon fiber, accentuating the prestigious, sporty nature of the new Giulia Luna Rossa special series. Selected units feature a two-tone livery that emphasises the contrast between the metallic tint and the red accents. Inside, the Luna Rossa narrative continues with exclusive Sparco seats upholstered in materials and graphics of the Personal Flotation Devices used by the boat’s crew. The dashboard fascia incorporates an ultra -thin film taken from an original Luna Rossa sail, supplied by the team and precisely machined to become part of the car - bringing an authentic fragment of Luna Rossa's history into the cockpit. 2022 Ford GT ’64 Heritage Edition

This limited-edition supercar will be selling with No Reserve at the 2026 Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Auction

Ford’s desire to dethrone Ferrari at Le Mans became the driving force behind an entirely new era of American endurance racing. That ambition led to the development and debut of the very first GT prototype, known as chassis GT/101, which was unveiled at the 1964 New York International Auto Show. The debut of GT/101 marked the bold new beginning of a program that would soon rewrite motorsports history.

To bring this vision to life, Ford established a dedicated skunkworks operation under the direction of Ford engineer Roy Lunn. Working through Kar Kraft, Lunn secured an agreement with to adapt the Lola Mk6 into a Ford-backed challenger. Their efforts converged inside a newly created home base called Ford Advanced Vehicles (FAV), where racing engineer John Wyer was appointed managing director and tasked with overseeing European competition as well.

A small but talented group from Ford relocated to Slough, England, to collaborate directly with the Lola team. Slough was chosen for its concentration of British specialists, whose craftsmanship proved vital to shaping the early GTs.

Only five GT prototypes were produced, each serving as a rolling laboratory and becoming the earliest Ford GT models to undergo rigorous aerodynamic study aimed squarely at high-speed stability. These cars were the start of the development effort that ultimately delivered the unforgettable 1-2-3 sweep at Le Mans in 1966.

More than half a century after that first prototype was revealed, Ford paid homage to its origin story with the 2022 Ford GT ’64 Heritage Edition. This limited-edition supercar – one of which will be selling with No Reserve at the 2026 Scottsdale Auction, Jan. 17-25 – draws direct visual inspiration from the 1964 original shown in New York on April 3 of that year, an ancestor that would ultimately lead the United States to its only Le Manswinning supercar lineage.

Dressed in a striking Wimbledon White finish accented by Antimatter Blue graphics, including a triple stripe stretching across the roof, the car balances heritage cues with the modern craftsmanship for which the Ford GT has come to be known.

Beneath its historic livery, the ’64 Heritage Edition is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter EcoBoost

V6 delivering 660 horsepower, paired with a rapid-shifting 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Its performance foundation is built around a carbon-fiber monocoque chassis with a race-honed suspension system engineered specifically to meet Ford GT demands.

Inside, carbon fiber continues as the structural and visual centerpiece, appearing on the door sills, lower Apillars, console and registers. Lightspeed Blue Alcantara-wrapped carbon-fiber seats feature silver stitching and embossed GT logos, tying into an instrument panel trimmed in Ebony leather and Lightspeed Blue Alcantara. The steering wheel receives an Ebony Alcantara wrap with black stitching, and the polished dualclutch paddle shifters add a subtle motorsport touch.

Included with the sale of this ’64 Heritage Edition Ford GT is the full factory delivery packet, assembly and provenance records, and original protective transport materials, along with a personalized indoor car cover. At the time of writing, the GT had just 319 actual miles.

In every respect, this 2022 Ford GT ’64 Heritage Edition serves as a bridge between eras, an artifact of modern engineering built to honor one of the most pivotal moments in American motorsports history. When it crosses the block at WestWorld, it offers one lucky bidder the chance to own a living chapter of Ford’s racing heritage.

The outcome is striking: Giulia Quadrifoglio Luna Rossa generates approximately 308 lbs of downforce at 186 mph, nearly five times higher than the production version.

Under the bonnet is the iconic twin-turbo 520-hp 2.9 V6, combined with a mechanical self-locking differential that optimises torque transfer, enhancing stability, agility and cornering speed, delivering a car that not only accelerates hard but tackles every corner with precision, embodying the perfect synthesis of aerodynamics, mechanics, and Italian passion.

Dedicated aerodynamics package

At the front, side appendages increase the load on the front axle by exploiting the accelerated airflow at the bumper edges. Additional underbody profiles generate a strong suction effect with a significant peak in load at the front, made possible by emphasis on the ground effect. Carbon-fiber side skirts seal the flow beneath the vehicle, further improving overall efficiency.

The defining feature is the spectacular dual-profile rear wing supported by two central pylons, inspired by the foils of the Luna Rossa AC75. While sailing foils lift the boat above water. Alfa Romeo has inverted this aerodynamic principle, transforming it into downforce that presses the car firmly onto the asphalt.

Alfa Romeo technicians have studied a profile with variable incidence to channel this high-energy vortex structure, obtaining a high aerodynamic load with a reduced surface area, to maximise the desired upwash effect.

The specific design of the dual profile therefore guarantees an increase in aerodynamic downforce with very high efficiency values, which enable the Giulia Quadrifoglio Luna Rossa to reach a top speed of 186 mph. A solution that combines formal elegance and advanced engineering, transforming the complexity of flows into pure performance. The integration of the solutions designed by Alfa Romeo technicians ensures an optimal aerodynamic balance of 40% on the front, which contributes to making driving dynamics even more precise.

Luna Rossa style: exclusive materials and unique details

The aesthetics of the special series are inspired by the color of the Luna Rossa AC75 boat that took part in the 37th America's Cup in Barcelona in 2024. The bodywork is hand-painted in an iridescent color, reproducing the metallic effect of steel. Overlaid with a two-tone livery featuring a red side band and “Luna Rossa” script. The Alfa Romeo brand logos on the front and rear have been modified specifically for this special series: for the first time in the brand’s history, they come on a red background.
