COMMUNITY RESOURCES Community resources listed on Senior Center webpage The Senior Center’s webpage at highlandsranch.org/seniorcenter links to a comprehensive list of resources for individuals ages 55 and older. Some of the topics include mental health, financial assistance, employment, fall prevention, food banks, medical supplies and equipment, hospice, meals on wheels, Medicare and Medicaid, nutrition, tax information and much more. Inclusion in these resources does not constitute support or endorsement of these companies or organizations by the Metro District. Evaluation of services and products remains the sole responsibility of the user. Any reputable agency or organization should always be willing and able to answer all of your questions and address concerns. Please contact Health and Resource Coordinator Corrin Godar with questions at 720-468-4821 or cgodar@ highlandsranch.org.
Help determine the future of Historic Park LAST PUBLIC MEETING ON MONDAY, AUG. 17 AT 5:30 P.M. For Highlands Ranch residents and visitors, the Highlands Ranch Mansion has long been a beloved landmark, and its story is far from over. On April 30, 2026, Shea Homes conveyed 197 acres of ranch land to the Metro District, expanding the area owned and managed by the organization around the Mansion to nearly 250 acres. The land features open pastureland, sweeping mountain views, 13 historic barns and farm buildings and an iconic windmill. The vision for this property is to preserve it as a passive park, a natural, heritagefocused space where residents can explore the outdoors, connect with the history of the region and enjoy the beauty that makes Highlands Ranch special. There will be no sports fields, and any future uses will complement existing Mansion programming. While there’s a general consensus on preserving the property’s historical features, we are gathering feedback to better understand the community’s vision and desires for the newly acquired property. This meeting is open to the community and will be held at the Senior Center.
Cooking classes coming soon Chef Dan from The Seasoned Chef will be offering monthly cooking classes starting in August. Look for details in MyActiveCenter.
