Our Pre-K4–Kindergarten Soccer Shots Camp provides a fun, energetic introduction to soccer through age-appropriate games, skill-building activities, and imaginative play. Campers will learn foundational soccer skills such as dribbling, shooting, passing, and ball control. They will also develop teamwork and confidence through fun competitions each day. Our coaches create a positive, encouraging environment where every child stays engaged, active, and excited to learn. This camp is designed to help young players grow both on and off the field through creativity, character development, and plenty of smiles.

Wildlife Wonders with LEGOS

Introduce young players to the joy of tennis with TGA’s Tennis 101 camp, designed specifically for early learners. Perfect for new players and those building early skills, this camp uses real tennis equipment sized for young athletes, giving campers an authentic and confidence-building experience. Guided by trained and verified coaches, campers learn simple forehand, backhand, and volley motions while practicing proper grip, footwork, and body positioning in fun, achievable ways!

Join Mrs. Makkers for Books Come Alive! Camp is a fun and engaging four-day experience where K-Prep, Kindergarten, and first grade students bring their favorite picture books to life through hands-on creativity. Each day, campers explore a beloved children’s story and dive into a themed craft or science experiment that connects to the book. From colorful art projects to exciting STEM challenges, students build comprehension, problem-solving, and imagination through play. A coordinating themed snack adds to the fun, making each story a full sensory adventure. This camp is perfect for young learners who love reading, creating, and exploring how stories spark real-world wonder.

Glow-tastic Art Camp

Rock 101

The Rock 101 music camp is for beginners. No experience needed! Students will explore their instruments through musical games and activities! Students will work on songs Monday through Friday and the camp will culminate in a concert at the end of the week for family and friends. Campers will get to play drums, bass, guitar, keys, and more!

Description:

Led by Varsity Boys' Soccer Coach Tyler Santee, the Golden Bears Soccer Camp offers a unique, age-appropriate soccer experience designed to improve each player’s knowledge and technical abilities within the game. We combine soccer-based development with a respect for self and others to help mold our future soccer stars both on and off the field. Throughout the week, we help players develop the simple foundations that will help them excel as a competitor, with a strong focus on their ball skills and game understanding. We teach simple moves and skills every player needs to have to find success in 1 vs. 1 situations. On the other side of the ball, we help our campers learn the basics of defending in various situations of the game. Along with growth in our soccer skills, we also have plenty of opportunities for fun to be mixed in! We play many soccer-based games that help to hone in new skills, and we end every day of camp with some fun competition. We also include cool down fun with water slides, water balloons, and water guns for those really hot summer days!

Golden Bears Soccer for 6th-8th grades

Along with growth in our soccer skills, we also have plenty of opportunities for fun to be mixed in! We play many soccer-based games that help to hone in new skills, and we end every day of camp with some fun competition. We also include cool down fun with water slides, water balloons, and water guns for those really hot summer days!

Basketball Camp for Boys

The Future Players Camp is a place for your child to learn, have fun and compete this summer. This five-day camp is designed to improve a young player’s understanding of the game, dispel myths of what a good basketball player is, and spend time on in-game skills starting with a solid, fundamental foundation.

Each player will participate in daily routines in a structured environment that includes proper stretching, learning how to run the court, make lay-ups, play defense and its importance, repetitive shooting to improve form, and compete 1 on 1, 2 on 2, 3 on 3, 4 on 4 and 5 on 5.

Food and Fun Around the World

During "Food n Fun Around the World," every day is a new global adventure! Campers will "travel" to a different country each day to explore its culture through exciting crafts, dances, and many other creative activities. The journey continues with our foodie journey, where kids will sample global treats and even learn a few new recipes!

Karate

Attention all Karate Kids! Join Sensei Will as he teaches the ancient Japanese martial art of karate. Students will have the opportunity to not only partake in activities that will help increase their strength, agility, and balance but will also learn the importance of respect, teamwork, and patience. Coding with Mr. Sottnick

Drawing Summer Camp

Young Inventors’ Club

Join the Young Inventors' Club to explore multiple types of engineering, such as aerospace, civil, chemical, electrical, environmental, marine, and mechanical, to invent new gadgets and explore creative design solutions. The campers will do hands-on STEAM activities with some lessons focusing on collaborative group projects, while other lessons will focus on individual projects. With basic household and specialty supplies, our youngest campers will utilize the Engineering Design Process to make their imagination become a reality!

Chemistry in the Kitchen

Spatulas and skillets, glue sticks and scissors, macaroni and cheese and quesadillas are just a few things that the kiddos will be experiencing. Wizarding World of Engineering with LEGOS

TGA’s “Serve, Dink, and Rally” Pickleball Fundamentals Camp. Jump into one of the fastestgrowing sports with TGA’s Serve, Dink, and Rally Pickleball Fundamentals Camp. Designed for 2nd through 5th graders, this camp emphasizes learning first, playing second. The week begins with focused instruction on grip, paddle control, footwork, serving, dinking, volleying, and how to keep score. Campers spend the first several days practicing these skills through structured drills, partner work, and movement-based challenges that build consistency, confidence, and correct technique. Trained and verified coaches guide players step-by-step, ensuring everyone learns proper form and fully understands the rules before any rallying begins.

Priest Camp

Join us for a week of faith, fun, and discovery at Priest Camp! Led by our Lower School Chaplain, this camp gives students a chance to explore what it means to live out faith in everyday life. Through engaging activities, crafts, music, stories, and service projects, campers will learn about prayer, scripture, sacraments, and community in a hands-on, interactive way. Each day brings new adventures, new friends, and new ways to experience God’s love. They will learn about the Anglican Communion around the world and all the different traditions of the Church that vary from country to country.

Timber and Twine

Students will step into the Timber and Twine workshop for a week of rustic creativity at our wood crafting camp! Students will learn to transform raw wood into fun, decorative pieces using methods like photo transferring, sanding, and painting and/or staining. Beyond just crafting, they will develop fine motor skills and focus while creating personalized string art and wooden signs. It is the perfect opportunity to build real skills and take home a one-of-a-kind masterpiece.

Are you interested in cool innovations that the 21st Century has to offer? In this STEM Velocity Summer Camp, we will Build, Code, and Explore. Campers will utilize a fun and exciting array of technology resources including programmable Robots, 3D Pens, and much more. Campers will not only gain an essential foundation for 21st Century Technology, but also train their skills in Problem Solving, Critical Thinking, Teamwork, and Executive Functioning. Urban Innovations with Minecraft: City Life

Playball Summer Camp has been popular and successful for girls and boys for more than a decade at HIES! The kids are physically active, learn new skills, play games and have fun in a high-energy, low-pressure, welcoming and structured setting. Playball Camp is great for rising superstars or children who are new to sports as we incorporate all levels. We include activities with a daily sport, including Soccer, Baseball, Basketball, Tennis and Hockey as well as obstacle courses, popular Playball games, water play and much more! Kids love Playball Camp, we hope your kid(s) will join us this Summer!

Art with Mrs. St. Amand and Ms. Gabby

Radical Rides with LEGOS

Build and design an array of exciting machines, traversing land, sea, and air, with the assistance of experienced Play-Well instructors. Basketball Camp for Girls

Led by HIES Girls' Basketball coaches, this five-day camp will concentrate on the fundamentals of the game, providing each camper with a sound foundation to facilitate and enhance future improvement. Campers will receive encouragement and reinforcement to make this camp a mix of learning and fun. Each day will consist of fundamental stations, contests, 3-on-3 games, and 5-on-5 games.

Piano Camp

This half-day camp offers a focused and engaging introduction to piano for beginners, while providing advanced instruction and enrichment for students with experience. Each morning, campers will build their skills through hands-on lessons, music theory games, ear training, and creative exploration at the keyboard. This camp is designed as an opportunity for true musical immersion. It will help students and parents determine if piano is the right long-term path, while giving every camper a strong foundation in music that applies far beyond the piano. From learning proper technique and rhythm to understanding how music is built, students will leave camp with greater confidence, musical fluency, and excitement to continue their journey.

Summer Cooking with Mrs. Mees

Join us for our Summer Cooking Camp, a fun and engaging culinary experience for rising K–5 students! Campers will create simple morning snacks, learn age-appropriate kitchen skills, and prepare delicious treats, like smoothies and mug cakes using kid-safe tools and appliances. Each themed day blends hands-on cooking with creativity, teamwork, and outdoor play. By the end of the week, every child will take home a personalized cookbook filled with the recipes and skills they’ve learned—perfect for inspiring a lifelong love of cooking!

Baseball

Come join Coach Rowland, the HIES coaching staff, and players for a fun-filled four days of America’s favorite pastime! This instructional camp will focus on the fundamentals of baseball: hitting, throwing, fielding, base running, and pitching. Your player will receive extensive individual instruction and enjoy the thrill of being part of a team. This camp is appropriate for both beginning and experienced players.

*Players should bring their own cleats, glove, helmet, and bat for this camp.

Critter Camp

Critter Camp is a hands-on summer adventure where campers explore five major groups of reptiles and amphibians, with a new focus each day: salamanders on Monday, frogs on Tuesday, turtles on Wednesday, lizards on Thursday, and snakes on Friday. Campers learn what makes each group unique through interactive lessons, outdoor exploration, and safe, upclose experiences with live animals. They’ll practice finding and identifying native Georgia herps in the field, meet ambassador animals from The Amphibian Foundation’s collection of over 100 native and exotic species, and learn proper animal handling and biosecurity practices that are introduced at the start of camp and reinforced throughout the week.

Intermediate Golf

Take your game to the next level with TGA’s Intermediate “Drive, Chip, and Putt” Golf Camp. Designed for golfers who have basic experience and are ready to strengthen their fundamentals, this camp focuses on building consistent technique through structured instruction and purposeful practice. Campers spend the first part of the week developing proper grip, stance, alignment, swing mechanics, chipping form, and putting routines using real golf equipment. Trained and verified coaches guide players, here on Holy Innocents’ campus, through targeted drills, skill stations, and movement-based challenges that reinforce accuracy, distance control, and confidence.

Boys’ Flag Football

Grades: 2nd-5th

This flag football program will be non-competitive and will emphasize team building, sportsmanship, and having fun. Coach Umstead will help the children learn pass routes, kick field goals, punt, and certain techniques of the game. A game of flag football will be played each day. There will be no tackling during games. We will also be playing fun water games to help with summer heat. Water games will include water balloons, soakers, etc. Open to boys with any level of experience.

Showstoppers

Join Mrs. Dodge for Showstoppers Camp! At Showstoppers Camp, students will become part of an energetic kids’ band and mini musical, using xylophones, bells, drums, and rhythm instruments to create a bold, exciting sound. Each afternoon blends music-making, expressive movement, and beginner acting and dancing as campers build characters, learn simple lines, and bring a short story to life on stage either as an actor, or band member! This camp is active, adventurous, and hands-on—perfect for boys and girls who love to move, make noise, and perform with friends. Campers will learn teamwork, rhythm, confidence, and storytelling through play. The week ends with a high-energy showcase where families see the kids’ creative visions come together in one fun performance.

Golf

This beginner-friendly camp uses real golf equipment and focuses on building early confidence through simple, achievable skills. Gymnastics

Join The Little Pink Mat for an exciting week, where fun meets skill development! Campers will dive into the fundamentals of tumbling & cheerleading, focusing on FUN, confidence building, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Get ready to pamper your doll – and yourself – at this American Girl-themed camp! This camp is packed with tons of imagination! Campers will have a blast as they unleash their creativity. Crafts will include (for you & your doll) matching ponchos, matching bows, matching headbands; doll frappuccinos, doll sleeping bags & blankets, lovely accessories, and other fun crafts! We will also cook yummy recipes to enjoy together – all taught in English & Spanish! Camp will be sprinkled with tea parties, games, and plenty of fun & laughter! Let's celebrate our favorite dolls!

**Campers should bring their own 18-inch doll to camp.

Aerospace Engineers: Sky Riders

Fun and adventure will soar to new heights in Aerospace Engineers: Sky Riders! This camp will introduce our youngest engineers to fundamental concepts of aircraft and spacecraft design using the Engineering Design Process. Through open and focused exploration with hands-on individual and group projects, the campers will discover the forces that turn airplanes, helicopters, and rockets into sophisticated flying machines, and more!

Summer at Hogwarts

Rocket Camp

Summer Rocket Camp is a fun and exciting place where kids learn how real rockets work! Campers get to build their own model rockets, decorate them, and learn why they fly high into the sky. By the end of the week, everyone gets to launch their rockets and watch them blast off. It’s a hands-on adventure full of creativity, science, and big smiles!

Slime Camp

Join Ms. Tunnell for a week of fun at Slime Camp! Campers will get to create unique combinations of slime making at least two slimes each day of camp! We will explore color, texture, and fun charms with different themes for each day of slime. This hands-on camp is for any kiddos that love making slime and getting their hands dirty! Please send your kids in clothes and shoes that can get messy and a snack/water bottle for a snack break.

Engineering Design Challenge with LEGOS

Level Up: Game Design

Kick off your summer by checking off your reading list—whether you’re tackling your required title or diving into a story of your choice! Join your LS Librarian, Ms. Hudson, as you book it through your summer reading and complete any related book reports or required projects. Along the way, we’ll mix in fun games and explore everything our library has “on the shelves.” Each student will receive a copy of their grade’s required reading title, so you’ll be ready to turn the page on an awesome summer!

In this course, rising 6th graders will have the opportunity to complete their summer reading assignments. We will read the required book together, and we will work on the book project for the additional novel of your choice. *Students must be finished with their additional novel choice (from the list) BEFORE the course begins!** This is a great chance to get a head start in middle school! Materials needed for the class:

Construction paper

Printer paper

Colored pencils or crayons (not markers)

Glue

Scissors

Any other optional craft material to create a cute book project

Handwriting Brush Up

Dates: June 22-26

Grades: PK5-3rd

Does your child dread homework time or struggle to complete written work in class? This Handwriting Brush Up course is designed to help children who have difficulty with the physical process of writing and develop other fine-motor skills. The sessions will target the following: pencil grasp and control , letter and number formation , printing legibility and/or cursive instruction . Manipulation and fine motor coordination skills will also be addressed. The sessions will be led by licensed occupational therapists. *All materials and supplies are included.

Rising PK4 Back-to-School Camp

Taught by Holy Innocents' teachers, this program has been designed to give rising PK-4 grade students practice in foundational skills that have been demonstrated to be the most important for a successful PK-4 and school experience. Children will enjoy engaging in opportunities for socializing, and strengthening large and fine motor skills in a fun ‘learning through play’ environment.

Intro to Middle School Technology

Dates: July 6-10

The digital life of a middle school student is fast-paced and filled with wonderful opportunities and character-building challenges. The week-long Intro to Middle School Technology course seeks to prepare rising 6th grade students and students new to HIES for the upcoming school year. During the course, students will be introduced to password and username management for the various programs, websites, and hardware they will encounter in Middle School. They will work extensively with the school website, dropbox system, and laptop during this time. Additionally, they will create projects using Pages, Keynote, and iMovie that seeks to integrate multiple forms of media and skills.

For fourth grade summer academics camp, students should read the summer reading The Fantastic Secret of Owen Jester by Barbara O’Connor, before this class. The reading will be used to review grammar skills (specifically sentence structure), character and story analysis, and other important objectives key to starting the Fourth grade. For math, students will focus on:

Basic math facts (addition, subtraction, multiplication)

Multi-digit addition and subtraction

Place value

Typing FUNdamentals

This camp is designed to help students become more proficient in keyboarding. While using a variety of programs, students will be encouraged and motivated to improve their typing abilities. Students can expect to have fun and receive positive feedback and support while learning. Each student’s number of words typed per minute and accuracy will be monitored in order to track progress. Typing is a vital part of our world and learning to type is essential! *Students will need to bring their own laptop for the camp.

Math for Rising Sixth

This one-week class is highly recommended to assist your student in completing the summer math packet. In addition, supplementary materials will be utilized to complement the skills covered in the math packet.

There are seven skills specifically selected by the HIES math department as the most important concepts students need to be proficient in as they move on to 6th grade. Building a solid foundation in these skills will help prepare the students for a successful year in math.

The course will begin with guided instruction for the skill, followed by activities to reinforce and enrich the skills, and concluding with the completion of that portion of the summer packet.

1. Adding, Subtracting, Multiplying, and Dividing Fractions

2. Divisibility Rules, Prime Numbers, GCF, LCM

3. Multiplication Tables

4. Simplifying Fractions

5. Operations with Decimals to include Long Division

6. Any 5th grade level word problems; area and perimeter
