I heard this question recently and it has stayed with me. What if the only blessings in your life tomorrow are those that you thanked God for today? What blessings would you have tomorrow. Of course the Lord is not limited in His blessings, however the point is what have you thanked him for today? We are so blessed beyond measure to be able to bring to you North Alabama Kids Directory each month. gg& mommy& me Thanksgiving Day Around the Table “It’s all about the table.” Decorate it, cover it with food, sit around it, reminisce, say a prayer, and EAT. To help us remember the first Thanksgiving celebration, lets make some table decorations. DECORATIONS: 1. Make a small basket using 4 sides of plastic canvas, 2” square or larger. Sew together with yarn and decorate with stickers. Fill your basket with kernels of corn (5 times the number of people eating) and place on the table as your centerpiece. 2. Make a napkin holder: using 6” by 1“ orange construction paper and a leaf pattern. Glue ends of strip together and glue the leaf on top. Place folded napkins inside the holders at each place setting. TO REMEMBER: The first Thanksgiving celebration, try this personal tribute: Pass the basket and let each person place 5 kernels of corn onto their plate. Pass the basket back around and let individuals return their kernels one at a time. They should express thanks or share a memory each time a kernel is returned to the basket. Don’t forget to use your napkin during dinner! Giving thanks today still remains the same as the first Thanksgiving so long ago.
