What does that mean today? My humble opinion is: Mothers make a choice every day to put someone else’s needs above their own. They are called to teach the hard lessons of life. They must teach kindness, manners, selflessness, and forgiveness while at the same time cultivating strength, independence, creativeness and confidence. From the moment children are born Mothers are preparing to let them go. In the blink of an eye they are ready to leave the nest. Are they really ready? This is the hardest question you will ever ask yourself. But relax, we are not alone and neither are they! They will have the armor of God to go with them. “Mother” is the most honorable and cherished profession a woman can have. Happy Mother’s Day! How to make Butterflies on a Fence for a Mother’s Day gift
You will need: • Miniature Fencing (from any craft store) • Bow-tie Pasta (vegetable for different colors) • Bendable wire • Bendable straws • Colored pipe cleaners • Permanent markers • Small pen for curling the antenna Instructions: • Choose several colors of bowtie pasta • Choose contrasting permanent marker colors • Color the pasta with polka dots, stripes, and swirls • Wrap wire around the center and twirl together at the top • Use a small pen to curl the antenna on each side • Finish by wrapping a piece of pipe cleaner around • Leave it long enough in the back to stick into the top of the straw • Cut the straw below the bendable part for attaching to the fence • Adjust so that these butterflies may fly in different directions • Some butterflies may be attached to the fence with glue dots as well
