Publisher’s Page April 2016 Samuel 1:27 (NIV) 27 I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of him. Oh what a blessing and gift each of my sons are to me. When they were younger I prayed with them every morning before school. It was a meaningful time for us. I know this because once my youngest called me from the bus and said “Mom we forgot to pray” and so we prayed on the bus together over the phone. Now as they grow older and go their separate ways, they know they are still in my prayers every morning. My husband and I are at an interesting place in our lives. Yesterday our children were babies. It seems we blinked and today they are 22, 20, and 18. Thank you Lord for allowing me to be the mother of such amazing children and for answered prayers. Grown children? My oldest will graduate from nursing school in May. My middle will soon pursue a career in engineering and my youngest, a senior in High School, is interested in Forensic Science in the Criminal Justice world. I am excited for them to accomplish their dreams and goals as adults. Time passes so quickly and though I find myself letting go a little each day, I still see those little boys without a care in the world in my memories. I look forward to the blessings God has in store for us as we move into this next phase of parenthood. My best advice to parents of little ones is to humbly pray with them and cherish the time when they are small. Because in the blink of an eye you will be right where we are. gg& mommy& me Springtime Baby Bird Balloons You will need: • Cardstock • Tissue paper • Balloons • Glue dots Instructions: • Cut two 4 by 12 inch strips of Cardstock and fold into a circular Base. Use glue dots to secure. • Blow up two balloons. Sit one balloon on each base. • For baby bird (boy), cut beak, eyes, eyebrows and feet out of black cardstock. Blue wings and crown are made from tissue paper as well as white u shaped face. Use glue dots to stick on individual balloon as shown. • For baby bird (girl) cut beak and eyes from black and yellow cardstock. Cut feet from pink cardstock. Cut wings, and bonnet from pink tissue paper. Use glue dots to stick on individual balloon as shown.
