Kids Eat Free!
As we keep hearing the economy is getting better, it hasn’t reached everyone yet and some of us just like a good deal! Whichever category you fall into, here’s a list of local restaurants that we’ve found that serve our munchkins for free or cheap and what day(s) and hours they do it. Keep in mind, that with these value meals being offered, the restaurant may be a little rowdy that night as all of us converge on them during this time. Pumpkin Patch Trail Mix
1 Small package of candy corn 1 Cup of sunflower kernels (salted or unsalted…your decision) 1 ½ Cups of golden raisins 1 Cup Soybean Nuts 1 Cup Pepitas 1 Small package of M & Ms Mix all together, store in a dry container. You can delete, add, adjust as your family likes! This is a good healthy treat for the whole family, take it with you to snack on at the pumpkin patch!
Candy Corn Fruit Snack
This one is SUPER easy…..Start with a layer of pineapple chunks in a clear container, top with mandarin orange pieces, then top with a little whipped topping and you are done! It will have the color of candy corn when you are done without all of the sugar!! Both of these recipes are fun for kids and will allow them to help you in the kitchen with having the feeling of accomplishment when they’re done. Enjoy!

Stay hydrated and fuel your body. If your body is not fueled correctly and hydrated not only will you risk illness but injury as well. A good rule of thumb is to shoot for half of your body weight in ounces of water a day!
