DRESS CODE STANDARDS

Blue jeans and denim clothing are permitted in the club’s dining venues for adults, Guests, or children, provided there are no visible rips, tears, frayed hems, or excessive fading. Denim attire is not permitted on the golf course at any time. Tank tops, t-shirts, halters, short shorts, cutoffs, sweatpants or hooded sweatshirts, cargo pants/shorts, or yoga pants are not permitted on the golf course, in the clubhouse, or in any dining/ bar areas at any time. Gentlemen are required to tuck in their shirts and remove their hats in the clubhouse and in all dining/bar areas.

While playing golf or using the practice facilities, everyone must be dressed in proper golf attire. Men’s shirts may be either collared or mock necks and must be tucked in. Golfing hoodies, such as the ones sold in the golf shop, are allowed. Joggers must be made of appropriate material and have belt loops, a zipper and a button to be permitted on the facility. Permissible ladies’ fashions for the golf course include collared, sleeveless shirts and collarless shirts with sleeves.

Golf shoes with soft spikes are required on the golf course and practice areas. Members will be responsible for their Guests’ adherence to this standard. Please consult the golf shop for approved footwear. Please use the locker rooms to change your shoes.

The men’s and ladies’ locker rooms are maintained for use by golf Members, those with assigned lockers and their Guests. Social Members may use the locker rooms to change clothing on days they play golf or tennis. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult while in the locker rooms.

Members are responsible for their Guests’ adherence to this standard.

STARTING TIMES

Starting times will be on a first-come, first-served basis except for situations where tee times are established by the golf shop. The golf shop will establish the order of play. No group will be assigned a starting time until all its Members are visible to the golf shop. Players may not start on the 10th tee unless authorized by the golf shop and when this does not interfere with players completing the 9th hole.

COURSE CARE:

• Please fix all ball marks on the greens and others if you see them

• Please use the divot mix provided on the golf carts when repairing divots

• When a ball is in a bunker, please enter the bunker at the low point of the bunker. After playing your shot, rake the bunker evenly and exit at the low point. Please place the rake at the low point, with the handle perpendicular to the trap

• When the driving range is “mats only”, that means NO shots can be played from the grass tee area. The tees on the driving range WILL go in the mats, provided they have a fresh point

• The grass tee is only available on weekend days during the golf season

CART/WALKING STANDARDS

Golf carts are provided for the convenience of the Members. To promote safety and to protect the golf course from abuse and damage, it is essential that all Members, their families and Guests abide by the following regulations:

• Carts are not permitted at any time on or in the general vicinity of tees, bunkers, grass knolls, aprons or any area specifically marked “no carts” or roped off

• Carts are not permitted in the parking lot

• Carts should utilize all the cart paths we have and stay in the fairways in between the paths at the tees and the greens. Exit the fairway at our wooden stakes/black ropes, near the green’s paths

• All rounds before 2PM will be charged a cart fee

• Members can use a push cart after 2PM for a push cart fee of $20

• 9-hole cart fee is $21, 18-hole cart fee is $40

• Walking and carrying your own bag is allowed after 2PM only during the in-season (April-October)

PACE OF PLAY

• Our pace of play continues to be one of the greatest benefits here at RVCC

• Each player in a group has an equal responsibility to maintain the pace of play

• If you are not playing within the 4-hour 18-hole required pace of play and there is a hole open in front of you, you must let the group behind you play through

• Groups identified to be behind the posted pace of play will be warned and then may be advised to speed up. Skip holes or allow trailing groups(s) to play through, should they continue to be behind pace

• Failure to do so will result in warnings to the entire foursome. Habitual slow players with multiple warnings will be subject to disciplinary action, including the possibility of restrictions on playing at peak times

GUESTS

Guests must be sponsored by a golf (proprietary or non-proprietary) Member to use any club facilities. The following procedure and restrictions apply to Guest privileges.

• Golf Members may bring one Guest anytime. A maximum of three (3) Guests may play golf with the sponsoring Golf Member without prior notice (although notice is encouraged) but may not tee off before 9AM on weekends and holidays

• Tuesday - Thursday: 18-hole Guest rate is $75 per person and 9-hole Guest rate is $37.50 per person plus an additional $40 cart fee

• Friday - Sunday (and holidays): 18-hole Guest rate is $100 per person and 9-hole Guest rate is $50 per person plus an additional $40 cart fee

• The 18-hole accompanying relative’s green fee is $40 per person and 9-hole fee is $20 per person plus $20 cart fee. “Relative”, for this purpose, means spouses, parents, adult children, children’s spouses and grandchildren

• No Guest may play more than once per month or more than a total of six (6) times per calendar yea
