We want to remind you that feeding alligators is illegal and will only make them more dangerous to you and your fellow Residents! Anyone feeding gators is putting everyone at risk. Please report it to our offices if you witness anyone feeding them. We don’t want anyone getting hurt and want to remind you never to feed or harass alligators and never feed other wildlife. You can be arrested for feeding and harassing alligators. As a reminder, fishing in the community is also prohibited.

Please keep a safe distance from alligators and do not go near the water’s edge, walk your pets near it, or allow them to go near it. We are blessed to live in the beautiful southwest Florida community, and we can enjoy all of our wildlife in safe ways.

As a reminder, pickup days are Mondays for trash recycling and bulk and Thursdays for trash. The only days there will not be pickup are the Fourth of July, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

LIFESTYLE & EVENTS

LIFESTYLE & EVENTS

March is here!

Let’s take a look back at all the great memories and events we enjoyed throughout January. From the Smartphone 101 Class to the Handmade Soap Making Event, our community stayed lively and connected all month long.

Here’s a quick recap of the highlights—get ready to smile and maybe get inspired to join in next time!

FEBRUARY 3:

Residents recently had the opportunity to boost their tech confidence at our Smartphone 101 class. This hands-on workshop provided step-by-step instruction on how to better navigate and use their smartphones in everyday life. Thank you to TDM Technologies for empowering our community with the tools and knowledge to stay connected, confident, and tech-savvy!

FEBRUARY 6:

Over 200 residents gathered for an evening filled with laughter, surprises, and jawdropping moments at our interactive magic show hosted by South Florida’s own Larry Greenberg.

Larry didn’t just perform for the audience; he performed with them! Residents became part of the show as Larry predicted choices and created magical moments right before their eyes. Gasps, applause, and plenty of “How did he do that?!” echoed throughout the room.

FEBRUARY 9:

“Between the Bunz” food truck was parked outside of the Grand Hall ballroom from 5:00PM-8:00PM. Residents came by and enjoyed delicious burgers, hot dogs, wings, fish tacos, and more! Every other Monday a new food truck will be featured. Keep an eye out for the featured truck on the online calendar.

FEBRUARY 9:

Residents were treated to a fascinating and beautifully presented program, The Underwater Ballet of the Humpback Whale, led by our very own Patrick O’Flaherty. Through engaging storytelling and captivating visuals, attendees gained a deeper appreciation for these majestic ocean giants. Thank you to Patrick for sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm with our community.

FEBRUARY 11:

The Grand Hall was buzzing with excitement as more than 270 residents gathered for our spectacular Del Webb’s Got Talent showcase. From powerhouse vocal performances to impressive instrumental solos, our talented friends and neighbors truly took center stage and showed off their incredible skills. The energy in the room was electric, with cheers, applause, and standing ovations celebrating each act. What made the evening even more special? Watching familiar faces light up the stage and seeing the community come together to support one another.

FEBRUARY

14 & 15:

The courts were alive with energy and excitement at the Del Webb Naples Annual Pickleball Winterfest! Players of all skill levels grabbed their paddles and joined the fun, enjoying spirited matches, lots of laughter, and enthusiastic sideline support. Thank you to our amazing organizer, resident Bill Olex, the volunteers, and the players who made this year’s Winterfest a smashing success.

FEBRUARY 18:

Creativity was flowing at this month’s watercolor class with the talented Linda Bachofner! Residents gather once a month for Linda’s step-by-step instruction, where beginners and seasoned painters alike enjoy learning new techniques in a relaxed and encouraging environment. This month, artists brought the beautiful “Brugge Bridge” to life on canvas, capturing its charm with soft washes, layered color, and delicate brushwork. With Linda’s expert guidance, each participant created their own unique interpretation while building confidence and skill along the way.

FEBRUARY 18:

Residents brought their blades and left with brilliance at our recent knife sharpening event with Kitchen Kutz! From chef’s knives to specialty cutlery, Kitchen Kutz had everyone slicing and dicing with ease again. There’s nothing like the feel of a freshly sharpened knife!

FEBRUARY 21:

More than 230 residents stepped back in time for a high-energy Decades Party filled with music, memories, and nonstop dancing! From retro outfits to classic hits spanning the years, the Grand Hall was transformed into a celebration of the greatest eras in music. Keeping the dance floor packed all night long was The Southshore Cruisers, delivering crowd-favorite songs that had everyone singing along and showing off their best moves. Whether it was rock ‘n’ roll, disco fever, or feel-good favorites, there was something for every generation to enjoy.

FEBRUARY 23:

“Mean Street Tacos” food truck was parked outside of the Grand Hall ballroom from 5:00PM-8:00PM. Residents came by and enjoyed home made tacos, burritos, nachos, and more! Every other Monday a new food truck will be featured. Keep an eye out for the featured truck on the online calendar.

FEBRUARY 23:

Residents gathered for a thoughtful and engaging presentation led by our very own resident, Eric Kimble, who shared his insights on the Top 5 Lessons of Atticus Finch. Eric highlighted timeless themes of integrity, courage, empathy, and standing up for what is right — even when it isn’t easy. Through meaningful discussion and personal reflection, attendees explored how Atticus Finch’s character continues to resonate today, offering guidance on leadership, moral strength, and compassion in everyday life. Thank you to Mr. Kimble for delivering such an inspiring and thought-provoking program. It was a powerful reminder that great literature continues to teach us valuable lessons at every stage of life.

FEBRUARY 27:

Creativity and wonderful aromas filled the room as residents participated in our handmade soap making event! Participants rolled up their sleeves to craft beautiful, nourishing soaps using creamy goat’s milk, fragrant scents, and delicate dried flowers. From calming lavender blends to bright citrus creations, each bar was uniquely designed and artfully decorated.

It was a fun, hands-on experience that combined creativity, relaxation, and a little bit of luxury. Everyone left with gorgeous handmade soaps — and maybe even a new favorite hobby!
