HSL establishes fire relief fund SAN ANTONIO – Hermann Sons Life is now accepting donations for the Crabapple Fire Relief Fund under the OneStar Foundation. The fund will support individuals who lost or sustained damage to their homes, farmers and ranchers facing agricultural losses and other high-priority community needs identified in Gillespie County because of the fire. According to the OneStar Foundation, the devastating Crabapple fire has scorched more than 9,500 acres near Fredericksburg,
leaving families without homes, farmers without fields and an entire community facing an uncertain future. Donations will provide emergency aid, essential supplies and long-term recovery assistance to
help families rebuild their homes, restore their land and restart their businesses. “Every dollar donated will help our neighbors get back on their feet and bring hope and relief,” Vice President of Member Benefits Cecily Kelly said. Cecily announced lodge donations can be submitted in lieu of a Join Hands Day project. “Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims of the Crabapple Fire and we are honored to support them and accept donations
on their behalf,” President and CEO Robin Czarnek said. “Thank you to all our members who have expressed interest in helping our neighbors through this tragedy.” Monetary donations will be collected through May 9. Send to: Attention: Haley Blaylock, P.O. Box 1941, San Antonio, Texas 78297. The OneStar Foundation is a nonprofit created to further volunteerism and community service in Texas.
