campus opportunities to register to vote and educate yourself on some of the issues surrounding the 2012 presidential campaign. As a part of Gamma Alpha Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta, Inc.’s “iVote Week,” the Xavier Herald and NOLA Black Professionals are registering voters through Friday, 11 a.m.-1 p.m., outside the University Center. Celeste Edwards, a junior biology/pre-med major and the sorority’s social action chair says the goal is to inform African Americans about the importance of voting and to register students to vote on campus Nov. 6.
