Viral Hepatitis Nurses
Basic dental care for people with hepatitis C
Viral Hepatitis Nurses work with patients in the community, general practice or hospital setting. They are located in the Adelaide metro area but support can also be arranged for people in country areas. They can be contacted directly by patients or their GPs:
• Adelaide Dental Hospital • Free basic care for people with hepatitis C who have a Health Care Card • Referral required for special needs clinic • Some services require co-payment • Call 1800 437 222 for a referral
Free hepatitis B vaccination
People with hepatitis C who have not tested positive to hepatitis B, can receive free hepatitis B vaccination through the State Government supported High Risk Hepatitis B Program. The free vaccine is available through your • General Practitioner • Aboriginal Health Centre • Community Health Centre • Adelaide Sexual Health Centre (call 7117 2800)
