About the Comprehensive Plan
A Comprehensive Plan is a roadmap for future development that outlines how a community’s long-term vision will be met over time. With a 20+ year outlook, Comprehensive Plans are usually updated every 5 years to ensure that the document reflects the residents' vision and maintains the county’s eligibility for some funding sources. Henry County is now conducting a rehaul of the 2018 Comprehensive to address the coming growth in a proactive, thoughtful way. We will accomplish this goal by evaluating recent developments, analyzing existing plans around infrastructure, working with the community on a vision for growth and providing an action-oriented plan to put Henry County in the driver’s seat.
