"There's a sculptural aspect to every one of his pieces, and his craftsmanship is something I admire," Jenner says. "We wanted to create something that was more wearable, super relatable, layerable, and easy to style." Some of the pieces were found while going through Atlein's archives. The deep-cut ruffled midi dress, for example, is based on an archival style the brand made a few seasons ago. "We added the deep-cut flared skirt at the last minute, and it's now one of my favorite pieces," Jenner says. Tron says Jenner brought a sense of sophistication to the design process, taking inspiration from Tron’s approach to draping over form. “It’s very fluid,” Tron says. “We wanted to bring high fashion to a wider audience, so we looked at some of my signature pieces—like the ruffled and asymmetrical T-shirts—and tried to distill them into her aesthetic.”
