Exhibit the Narrow Expect the Unexpected This exhibition design is a study about the 'Narrow' in Hong Kong, it inspired by the lifestyle of the city. Hong Kong is a place with high population but extremely lack of space. People are living with 'Narrow', it is not only about the space but also their mindsets. After education, people get used to their experience and knowledge
and
become
narrow
minded. Hong Kong is a place that affected by preserved traditional idea and social norms a lot, when people are more educated it seems that they are more likely to be narrow minded. To break their stone mindset, unexpected events and experiences are the way to go, this exhibition is a journey for them, there is no exhibits inside, visitor inside become their own exhibits as they affect the surrounded interior. The exterior stairs is a stairs with illusion effect, for example it seems that the path of the stair is leading to 2/F from 1/F but you may end up backing to 1/F.
Site Analysis PMQ(No.35 Aberdeen Street, Central}, a place for creative lifestyle experiences which also fit the aim of the exhibition. The exhibition is located near the entrance, which help attracting attentions from visitor. The exterior appearance is not unifying with the interior form. This created an unexpected experience to visitor, there perception are not working here as they are experiencing a new environment to them, the events inside are enabling their creativity.

Magnetic field There are attractive forces and repulsion forces in a field, so that there are always a comfortable distance between particles, just like the relationship around people, there are electric field lines helping to represent this abstract bonding. Throughout the process I found that although it is very interesting to represent bonding by this physical phenomenon, but it is still not able to fully represent the complexity of human relationships.
Metal structure The aluminum frame structure hide the paths of the alcohol pipelines, just like the traditional Japanese game, Ghost Legs, customers are not able to determine the flow of different drinks, Also the mental reflect and diffuse lights and shadows which enhance the atmosphere of the interior. As the interior is extremely large, a great supporting force are required for the pipelines to remain steady, this structure totally solve the problem.
Record of Motion The timeline of human motion is an abstract idea that cannot kept inside human brain, this chair is installed with a wheel at the axis of rotation. Just like the seismograph, it keep the record of the motion of human body, it is a new aspect to look at the personality of particular person without even talking to the person. It enhance and deepen the level of interection between people, but even knowing more about yourself.
Activities There is a circuit of pipe transmitting the alcohol from the tanks to the bar, there are no labels for the taps, people are not able to distinguish which type of alcohol are going out from the tap, which create an interesting situation which force them to interact with others. For example, they may ask the other directly about which kind of alcohol is going to come out, or they just analyze by the color or even the smell.
Spaces As there are a lot of space provided, people can choose not do seat but parade around the open space, which enable the chances of interaction, just like in church, believers are passionate in sharing their religious and believes inside the church, no matter what the post they
are, both experienced believers and rookies able to enjoy what serving and enjoying inside the church.
Interactions There not really a clear definition for bar tender here, just like in church there are no threshold for the believes, everyone is able to make their own drinks, they can share their formula with others and try to get a better version. As bar tender is experienced in his profession, they can provide useful knowledge when people asked for it, it seems that the relationship and bonding between the participant and the bar tender are changing, the traditional bar usually run their business by once pay, once serve, but here, bartender enjoying more respect then they usually do, just like the priest in the church.
