GENERALITIES

ReadtheOperator'smanualcarefullybeforestarting, operating,maintaining,fuellingorservicingthe machine.

Carefullyreadtheexplanationtoeachandallsafety signsinthespecialsectionofthisManualbefore starting,operating,maintaining,fuellingorservicing themachine.

Machine-mountedsafetydecalsarecolourcoded yellowwithblackborderswhentheyrefertopoints wherespecialATTENTIONmustbepaidandfailure toobservethemmaycauseaseriousDANGERto theintegrityofmachineoperators.

Itisfundamentalthatallmachineoperatorsknow verywellthemeaningofeachsafetyplateasthis considerablydecreasesoperatinghazardsand accidents.

Donotallowunauthorisedpersonneltooperateor servicethismachine.

Donotwearrings,wristwatches,jewellery,looseor hanginggarments,suchasties,tornclothing, scarves,unbuttonedorunzippedjacketsthatcanget caughtinmovingparts.Wearcertifiedsafetyclothes suchas:hardhat,no-slipfootwear,heavygloves,ear protection,safetyglasses,reflectorvests,respirators everytimethejobrequiresit.Askyouremployer aboutsafetyregulationsinforceandprotective equipment.

Alwayskeeptheoperatorscompartment,step plates,grab-railsandhandlescleanandclearof foreignobjects,oil,grease,mudorsnowtominimise thedangerofslippingorstumbling.Removemudor greasefromyourshoesbeforeoperatingthe machine.

Donotjumponoroffthemachine.Alwayskeepboth handsandonefoot,orbothfeetandonehandin contactwithstepsand/orgrabrails.

Donotusecontrolsorhosesashandholds.Hoses andcontrolsaremovablepartsanddonotprovide solidsupport.Besides,controlsmaybeinadvertently movedandcauseunexpectedmovementofthe machineoritsattachments.

Neveroperatethemachineoritsattachmentsfrom anypositionotherthansittinginthedriversseat. Keephead,body,limbs,handsandfeetinsidethe operatorscompartmentatalltimestoreduce exposuretoexternalhazards.

Becarefulofpossibleslipperyconditionsofthesteps andhandrailsaswellasofthegroundaroundthe machine.Wearprotectivebootsorshoeswiththe solesmadeofhighlyno-sliprubber

Donotleavethemachineuntilithascometoa completestop.

Alwayscheckheight,widthandweightlimitations whichmaybeencounteredintheworkingsiteand ensurethemachinedoesnotexceedthem.

Assessexactpathsofgasducts,watermains, telephonelines,sewers,overheadandunderground electriclinesandallotherpossibleobstacles.

Suchpathsshouldbeopportunelydefinedby competentAuthorities.Ifnecessary,requirethatthe serviceisinterruptedorsaidinstallationsaremoved priortostartingthework.

Definetherearupperstructureswingareaand provideforopportunebarrierstopreventaccessinto it.

Neverexceedmachineliftingcapacity.

Remainwithinthelimitsshownintheloading capacitychartwhichlocatedonthemachine.

STARTING

Neverstartoroperateafailedmachine.Walkall aroundthemachinebeforemounting.

Beforeoperatingthemachine,makesurethatany possibledangerousconditionhasbeenproperly removed.Beforestartingmachine,alwayscheckthat allcontrolsareintheneutralpositionandthesafety leverisintheLOCKposition.Immediatelyreportany malfunctionofpartsorsystemstothemaintenance managersforproperaction.

Priortostartingtheengine,check,adjustandlockthe driversseatformaximumridingcomfortandcontrol accessibility.Priortooperatingthemachineand/or itsattachments,checkthatbystandersareoutside themachineoperatingrange.Soundthehorn.

Obeyallhandsignals,safetyindicationsandsigns. Duetothepresenceofflammablefluids,never checkfuellevel,refuel,chargethebatteriesinthe presenceofsmokingmaterials,openflamesor sparks.

Adjustallrear-viewmirrorsformaximumvisibilityof theareabehindthemachine.

Ensurethatenginespeedisappropriatetothejobto becarriedout.

Ifanyhydrauliccontrolorsystemexhibitserratic performanceorrespondsabnormally,havethe machinecheckedforairinthesystem.

Airinthesecircuitsmaycauseincorrectmovements withconsequentaccidenthazard.Refertothe Operator'smanualaboutcorrectiveactiontobe taken.

OPERATING

Donotruntheengineinclosedbuildingswithout properventilationcapabletoremoveharmfulexhaust gaseswhichconcentrateintheair.

Keeptheoperatorscompartmentfreeofforeign objects,especiallyifnotfirmlysecured.Neveruse themachinetotransportobjects,unlessproper securingpointsareprovided.

Donotcarryridersonthemachine.Studyand familiarisewithescaperoutesalternativetonormal exitroutes.Foryourpersonalsafety,donotclimbon oroffthemachinewhileitisinmotion.

Makesurethatbystandersareclearofthemachine operatingrangebeforestartingtheengineand operatingtheattachment.Soundthehorn. Obeyallhandsignals,safetyindicationsandsigns. Whenbacking,alwayslooktowherethemachineis tobemoved.

Bealertofthepositionofbystanders.Should someoneentertheworkarea,stopthemachine. Maintainasafedistancefromothermachinesor obstaclestoensurerequiredvisibilityconditions. Alwaysgivewaytoloadedmachines.

Maintainaclearvisionofthesurroundingsofthe travelorworkareaatalltimes.Keepcabwindows cleanandrepaired.

Whenpullingloadsortowingthroughacableor chain,donotstartsuddenlyatfullthrottle.Take-up slackcarefully.Avoidkinkingortwistingchainsor cables.

Carefullyinspectthetowingitemsforflawsor problemsbeforeproceeding.Donotpullthrougha kinkedchainorcableasthehighanomalousstresses existinginthisconditionmayinducefailuresinthe kinkedportion.

Alwayswearheavygloveswhenhandlingchainsor cables.

Chainsandcablesshouldbesecurelyanchored usingsuitablehooks.Anchorpointsshouldbestrong enoughtowithstandtheexpectedload. Keepanyoneclearofanchorpointsandcablesor chains.

Donotpullortowunlesstheoperators compartmentsofthemachinesinvolvedareproperly protectedagainstpossiblebacklashincaseofcable orchainfailureordetachment.

Bealertofsoftgroundconditionsclosetonewly constructedwalls.Thefillmaterialandmachine weightmaycausethewalltocollapseunderthe machine.

Indarkness,checkareaofoperationcarefullybefore movinginwiththemachine.Usealllightsprovided. Donotmoveintolowvisibilityareas.

Iftheenginetendstoslowdownandstallfor whateverreasonunderloadoratidle,immediately

reportthisproblemtothemaintenancemanagersfor properaction.

Donotoperatethemachineuntilthisconditionis corrected.Regularlycheckallexhaustsystem components,asexhaustfumesaretoxicforthe operator.

Operatorsmustknowtheperformanceofthe machinetheyaredriving.Whenworkingonslopesor nearsuddenleveldropsintheterrain,payattention nottoloseadherenceandavoidloosesoftground sinceoverturnorlossofmachinecontrolcouldresult.

Ifnoiselevelishighandexceeds90dB(A)over8 hoursattheoperatorsear,wearapprovedear protectionincompliancewithlocalregulations.

Donotoperatethemachineifyouareextremelytired orfeelill.Beespeciallycarefultowardstheendofthe workingshift.

Whereremovablecounterweightsareprovided,do notoperatethemachineiftheyhavebeenremoved. Whenoperatingthemachine,keepinmindheight limitsofoverheaddoors,arches,overheadcables andlinesaswellaswidthlimitsofcorridors,roads andnarrowpassages.

Also,gettoknowloadlimitsofthegroundand pavingtypeoftherampsyouaretoworkon. Bewareoffog,smokeordustthatobscurevisibility. Alwaysinspecttheworkingareatoidentifypotential riskssuchas:inclines,overhangs,trees,demolition rubble,fires,ravines,steepslopes,roughterrain, ditches,crowns,ridgetrenches,diggingsintraffic areas,crowdedparkinglots,crowdedserviceareas, fencedzones.Insuchconditions,proceedwith extremecare.

Wheneverpossible,avoidcrossingoverobstacles suchasveryroughterrain,rocks,logs,steps, ditches,railroadtracks.

Whenobstructionsmustbecrossed,dosowith extremecareandatasquareangle,ifpossible.Slow down.

Easeuptothebreak-overpoint,passthebalance pointslowlyandeasedowntheothersidealsousing theattachment,ifnecessary.

Toovercomedeeptrenchesorsinkingground,place themachineperpendiculartotheobstacle,drastically reducegroundspeedandstartcrossingusingalso theattachmentifnecessary,onlyafterassessingthat groundconditionsallowthetraversesafelyand withoutrisks.

Thegradientyoumayattempttoovercomeislimited byfactorssuchasgroundconditions,loadbeing handled,machinetypeandspeed,andvisibility. Thereisnosubstituteforgoodjudgementand experiencewhenworkingonslopes.

Avoidoperatingtheattachmenttooclosetoan overhangorhighwall,eitheraboveorbelowthe machine.Bewareofcavingedges,fallingobjects andlandslides.Rememberthatsuchhazardsare

likelytobeconcealedbybushes,undergrowthand such.

Avoidbushes,logsandrocks.Neverdriveoverthem, noroveranyothersurfaceirregularitiesthat discontinueadherenceortractionwiththeground, especiallynearslopesordrop-offs.

Bealerttoavoidchangesinadherenceconditions thatcouldcauselossofcontrol.Workwithextreme careoniceorfrozengroundandonsteppedslopes orneardrop-offs.

Thewordbulldozinggenerallyreferstoworkin virginroughterrain,characterisedbythepresenceof alltheperilsandriskslistedabove.Weemphasise thedangerrepresentedintheseconditionsbylarge treelimbs(possiblyfallingonthemachine)andlarge roots(whichmayactasaleverageunderthe machinewhenup-rootedandcausetheunitto overturn).

Positionthemachinedependentupontheloading andunloadingareasinordertoswingleftwardsto loadtoobtainbestvisibility.

Neverusethebucketorattachmentasamanliftor carryriders.Neverusethemachineasawork platformorscaffolding.Themachinemustnotbe improperlyusedforworksnotconsistentwithits features(suchaspushingrailwaycars,trucksor othermachines).

Alwayspayattentiontopeoplewithinthemachine operatingrange.

Nevermoveorstopthebucket,otherloadsorthe attachmentabovegroundpersonnelortruckcabs. Ensurethetruckdriverisinasafeplacebefore loadingthetruck.

Loadtrucksfromsideorrear.

Useonlythetypeofbucketrecommended consideringmachinetype,materialstobehandled, materialpilingupandloadingcharacteristics,ground typeandothertypicalconditionsoftheworktobe performed.

Whentransportingaloadedbucket,keepitas rolled-backaspossible.Keepboomandarmaslow aspossible.

Groundspeedshouldbeadequatetotheloadand groundconditions.

Theloadmustalwaysbeproperlyarrangedinthe bucket;movewithextremecarewhentransporting oversizeloads.

Donotliftandmovethebucketoverheadwhere personsarestandingorworking,nordownhillwhen workingonaslopeasthiswoulddecreasemachine stability.Loadthebucketfromtheuphillside.

Loadstoberaisedusingthemachineshouldbe exclusivelyhookedtothehitchspeciallyprovided. Theexcavatorisnoliftingandtransportationmeans, thereforeitshouldnotbeusedtopositionloads accurately.Shoulditbeexceptionallyusedtoliftand

laybuildingcomponents,specialcautionmustbe takenasfollows:

-Themachinemustbeequippedcompulsorilywith theappropriatevariantprovideduponrequest.

-Securetheloadstoberaisedusingcablesor chainsfastenedwithappropriatehooking mechanisms.

-Nobodyshouldbeallowedtoremainunderthe raisedloadorwithintheexcavatoroperatingrange foranyreasonwhatever.

Neverexceedspecifiedloadingcapacity.Incorrect fasteningofslingsorchainsmaycauseboom/arm failureorfailureoftheliftingmeanswithconsequent bodilyinjuriesandevendeath.

Alwaysensurethatslingsandchainsusedforlifting areadequatetotheloadandingoodcondition.

Allloadingcapacitiesarereferredtothemachineon alevelsurfaceandshouldbedisregardedwhen workingonaslope.

Avoidtravellingacrossslopes.Proceedfromuphill downhillandvice-versa.Ifmachinestartsslipping sidewayswhenonaslope,lowerthebucketand thrustbucketteethintotheground.

Workingonslopesisdangerous.Gradetheworking areaifpossible.Reduceworkcycletimeifitisnot possibletogradetheworkingarea.

Donotmovefullbucketoraloadfromuphilldownhill asthiswouldreducemachinestability.Donotwork withthebucketturnedtotheuphillside.

Donotworkwiththebucketturneduphillas counterweightsprotrudingdownhillwouldreduce machinestabilityontheslopeandincreaseriskof overturning.

Werecommendtoworkonslopeswiththebucket downhill,aftercheckingmachinestabilitywiththe bucketemptyandattachmentretracted,byslowly swingingtheupperstructureby360°.

Positionthecarriageatarightanglerelativeto slopes,hangingwalls,etc.toexittheworkingarea easily.

Keepthemachinesufficientlyfarfromtheditch edge.

Neverdigunderthemachine.

Shoulditbenecessarytodigunderthemachine, alwaysensurethatdiggingwallsareopportunely proppedupagainstlandslidetopreventthemachine fromfallingintothetrench.

Donotswingtheupperstructure,raisetheloador brakeabruptlyifnotrequired.Thismaycause accidents.

Priortobeginningtheworkneargasdistribution mainsorotherpublicutilities:

-Contactthecompanyownerofthegasmainsorits nearestbranchbeforestartingthework.

-Definetogetherwhichprecautionsshouldbetaken toguaranteeworksafety.

-Decreaseworkspeed.Reactiontimecouldbetoo slowanddistanceevaluationwrong.

-Whenworkingneargasmainsorotherpublic utilitiesinstallations,appointapersoninchargeof signallingduties.Thispersonwillhavethe responsibilityofobservingthemachine,anypartof itand/ortheloadapproachingthegasmainsfrom astandpointmorefavorablethantheOperator. Thissignalman(flag-man)mustbeindirect communicationwiththeOperatorandtheOperator mustpayundividedattentiontothesignals supplied.

-ThegasdistributingCompany,ifpreviously advisedandinvolvedinthework,aswellas machineOperator,Ownerand/oranynatural personorlegalentityhavingrentorleasedthe machineorbeingresponsibleatthetimeby contractorbylaw,areliablefortheadoptionofthe necessaryprecautions.

Workingnearelectriclinescanbeverydangerous, thereforesomespecialprecautionsmustbe observed.

WithinthisManual,worknearelectriclinesmeans whentheattachmentorloadraisedbytheexcavator (inanyposition)mayreachtheminimumsafety distanceestablishedbylocalorinternationalSafety Regulations.

Toworkwithoutrisks,keepmaximumpossible distancefromelectriclinesandnevertrespass minimumsafetydistance.

-ContacttheCompanyowneroftheelectriclinesor itsnearestbranchbeforestartingthework.

-DefinetogetherwiththeCompanyrepresentative whichprecautionsshouldbetakentoguarantee worksafety.

-Allelectriclinesshouldbeconsideredasoperative livelineseventhoughitmightbewellknownthat thelineinquestionisoutofworkandvisibly connectedtotheground.

-TheElectricPowerCompany,ifpreviouslyadvised andinvolvedinthework,aswellasmachine Operator,Ownerand/oranynaturalpersonorlegal entityhavingrentorleasedthemachineorbeing responsibleatthetimebycontractorbylaw,are liablefortheadoptionofthenecessary precautions.

-Decreaseworkspeed.Reactiontimecouldbetoo slowanddistanceevaluationwrong.

-Warnallgroundpersonneltokeepclearofthe machineand/orloadatalltimes.Iftheloadhasto beguideddownforlaying,consulttheElectric PowerCompanytoknowwhichprecautionsshould betaken.

-Appointapersoninchargeofsignallingduties. Thispersonwillhavetheresponsibilityofobserving themachine,anypartofitand/ortheload approachingtheelectriclinesfromastandpoint morefavorablethantheOperator.Thissignalman (flag-man)mustbeindirectcommunicationwith theOperatorandtheOperatormustpayundivided attentiontothesignalssupplied.

Whenworkinginornearpits,inditchesorveryhigh walls,checkthatthewallsaresufficientlyproppedup toavoidcave-inhazards.

Paytheutmostattentionwhenworkingnear overhangwallsorwherelandslidesmaytakeplace. Makesurethatthesupportsurfaceisstrongenough topreventlandslides.

Whendigging,thereistheriskofcave-insand landslides.

Alwayscheckgroundconditionsandconditionsof thematerialtoberemoved.Supporteverywhereitis requiredtopreventpossiblecave-insorlandslides when:

-Diggingnearprevioustrenchesfilledwithmaterial.

-Digginginbadgroundconditions.

-Diggingtrenchessubjecttovibrationfrom railroads,workingmachinesorhighwaytraffic.

STOPPING

Whenthemachineistobestoppedforwhatever reason,alwayscheckthatallcontrolsareinthe neutralpositionandthatthesafetyleverisonthelock positiontoguaranteerisk-freestart-up.

Neverleavethemachineunattendedwiththeengine running.

Priortoleavingthedriversseat,andaftermaking surethatallpeopleareclearofthemachine,slowly lowertheattachmentuntilrestingitsafelytothe ground.Retractpossibleauxiliarytoolstotheclosed safetyposition.

Checkthatallcontrolsareintheneutralposition. Moveenginecontrolstotheshut-downposition. Switchoffthekey-startswitch.

Parkthemachineinanon-operatingandno-traffic area.Parkonfirmlevelground.Ifthisisnotpossible, positionthemachineatarightangletotheslope, makingsurethereisnodangerofuncontrolled sliding.

Ifparkingintrafficlanescannotbeavoided,provide appropriateflags,barriers,flaresandothersignalsas requiredtoadequatelywarntheoncomingdrivers. Alwaysswitchoffthekey-startswitchbefore cleaning,repairing,orparkingthemachinetoprevent accidentalunauthorisedstart-up.

Neverlowertheattachmentorauxiliarytoolsother thanfromsittingintheoperatorsseat.Soundthe

horn.Makesurethatnobodyiswithinthemachine operatingrange.Lowertheattachmentslowly.

Securelyblockandlockthemachineeverytimeyou leaveitunattended.Returnkeystothesafeplace previouslyagreedupon.Performallnecessary operationsforstoppingasdetailedintheOperator's manual.

Drivethemachinefarfrompits,trenches,rocky hangingwalls,areaswithoverheadelectriclines,and slopesbeforestoppingitattheendoftheworking day.

Moveallcontrolstothepositionspecifiedformachine stopping.

Neverparkonaninclinewithoutaccuratelyblocking themachinetopreventunexpectedmovement.

Followstoppinginstructionscontainedinthe Operator'smanual.

MAINTENANCE

CarefullyreadtheOperator'smanualbeforestarting, operating,maintaining,fuellingorservicingthe machineinanymanner.

Readallsafetydecalsmountedonthemachineand observeinstructionstheycontainbeforestarting, operating,repairing,fuellingorservicingthe machine.

Donotallowunauthorisedpersonneltorepairor servicethemachine.

Followallrecommendedmaintenanceandservice procedures.

Cleanmudorgreasefromyourshoesbefore climbingonthemachineordrivingit.

Neverattempttooperatethemachineorits attachmentsfromanypositionotherthansittinginthe operatorsseat.

Keepthedriversseatfreefromforeignobjects, especiallyifthesearenotsecured.

Shoulditbenecessarytomovetheattachmentfor maintenancepurposes,donotraiseorlowerthe attachmentfromanyotherpositionthansittinginthe operatorsseat.Beforestartingthemachineor movingitsattachment,soundthehornandrequire thatnobodyremainsnearthemachine.

Raisetheattachmentslowly.

Alwayslockallmovingcomponentsorpartsofthe machinethatmustbeliftedformaintenance purposesusingadequateexternalmeansas requiredbylocalandnationalregulations.Donot allowanyonetopassorstaynearorbelowaraised attachment.Ifyouarenotabsolutelysureaboutyour safety,donotstayorwalkunderaraisedattachment. Donotplacehead,body,limbs,hands,feetorfingers neararticulatedcuttingedgesdeprivedofthe necessaryguards,unlesstheyaresuitablyand safelylocked.

Neverlubricate,repairoradjustthemachinewiththe enginerunning,exceptwhenthisisspecifically requiredbytheOperator'smanual.

Donotwearlooseclothing,jewellerynearrotating parts.

Whenserviceormaintenancerequireaccessto areasthatcannotbereachedfromtheground,usea ladderorstepplatformconformingtolocalornational regulationstoreachtheworkingarea.Ifsuchmeans arenotavailable,usemachinegrabrailsandsteps. Alwaysperformallserviceormaintenanceworkwith thegreatestcareandattention.

Shopand/orfieldserviceplatformsorladdersshould bemanufacturedandmaintainedinaccordancewith localornationalsafetyregulationsinforce.

Disconnectbatteriesandlabelallcontrolstowarn thatserviceworkisinprogress,accordingtolocal andnationalsafetyregulationrequirements.

Blockthemachineandallattachmentstoberaised accordingtolocalandnationalsafetyregulation requirements.

Donotcheckorfillfueltanksorinstallbatteriesnear burningorsmokingmaterialsandopenflamesdueto thepresenceofflammablevapours.

Thefuelfillerpipenozzlemustbeconstantlykeptin contactwiththefillerneckandthisevenbeforefuel startsflowingin.Keepthiscontactfromthebeginning

totheendofthefuellingoperationtoavoidpossible generationofsparksduetostaticelectricity. Useatruckortrailertohaulafailedmachine.Should itbenecessarytotowit,provideforsuitabledanger signalsasrequiredbythelocalnormsand regulationsandobserverecommendationsgivenin theOperator'smanual.Load/unloadthemachineon firmlevelgroundprovidingsafesupporttothewheels ofthetruckortrailer.Usestrongaccessramps,with adequateheightandangle.Keepthetrailerflatbed freeofmud,oilorslipperymaterials.Tiethemachine securelytothetrailerandblockcarriagesand upperstructure.

Neveralignholesorslotsusingyourfingers; alwaysuseappropriatealigningtools.

Removeallsharpedgesandburrsfromre-worked parts.

Useonlyapprovedandeffectivelygroundedauxiliary powersourcesforheaters,batterychargers,pumps andsimilarequipmenttoreduceelectricalshock hazard.

Liftandhandleheavycomponentsusinghoisting devicesofappropriatecapacity.Ensurethepartsare supportedbyappropriatestrapsandhooks. Useliftingeyesprovidedtothisaim. Payattentiontobystandersneartheliftingarea.

Neverpourgasolineordieselfuelintoopen containers.Neverusegasoline,solventsorother flammablefluidstocleanparts.Useproprietary certifiednon-flammable,non-toxicsolventsonly.

Whenusingcompressedairtocleanparts,wear safetyglasseswithsideshields.Limitpressureto max2bar,inaccordancewithlocalandnational safetyregulationsinforce.

Donotruntheengineofthismachineinclosed buildingswithoutproperforcedventilationcapableto removetoxicexhaustgasesconcentratingintheair.

Donotuseopenflamesaslightsourcestolookfor leaksorinspectanywhereonthemachine.

AVOIDINJURYFROMTRAVELAND SWINGACCIDENTS

Makesuretheswingandtravelareaofthemachine isclearofallpersonsandobstaclesbeforeoperatingswingortravelcontrols.Toavoidtraveland swingaccidents:

-Alwayslookaroundbeforeyoutravelorswing themachine.Besurethatallbystandersare clear.

-Alwaysbealertforbystandersmovingintothe workarea.Soundthehornorothersignalto warnbystandersbeforemovingmachine.

TRAVELINGONSLOPE

Beforemovingthemachine,confirmwhichwayto movetravelpedals/leversforthecorrespondingdirectionyouwishtogo.

Travelingonaslopemaycausethemachinetoslip ortooverturn,possiblyresultinginseriousinjuryor death.

-Whentravelingupordownaslope,keepthe bucketinthedirectionoftravel,approximately 20-30cmabovetheground(A).

-Ifmachinestartstoskidorbecomesunstable, lowerthebucketimmediately.

-Travelingacrossthefaceofaslopemaycause themachinetoskidortooverturn.When travelling(ascending/descending)onaslope, besuretopointthetracksuphill/downhill.

-Turningonaninclinemaycausethemachineto tipover.Ifturningonaninclineisabsolutely unavoidable,dosoataplacewheretheslopeis gentleandthesurfaceisfirm.

-Donottravelonslopeswithanangleexceeding 30°.Donottravelacrosshillonslopes exceedinganangleof15°

AVOIDOVERTURNING

Whenworkingonaslopeoronunstableterrain,the dangeroftippingoverispresentwiththepossibility ofsubsequentseriousdamagesorfatalinjuries.

-Paytheutmostattentionwhenworkingona slope.Ifpossible,levelfirsttheworkarea.

-Avoidswingorsteeringthemachineonaslope.

-Decreasetheoperatingspeedandactuatethe controlscarefully,topreventsudden movementsthatcouldresultinslippingor tippingover.

-Incasetheengineiscut-off,lowerthebucketto theground,movethecontrolsinneutraland restarttheengine.

Paytheutmostattentionwhenoperatingthemachineonfrozengroundorinsnowyconditions.

Exploretheworkingareatoidentifypotentialrisks beforestartingandoperatingthemachine.Make surethatthestructureandtheconditionsofthe groundaresafebeforestartingoperations.

-Makesurethatthediggingareaissufficiently stableandfirmtosupporttheweightofthe machineduringtheworkoperations.
