Itispossiblefortheframeoftheharvesterheadtofallwhenitis parkedintheverticalposition.Toavoidpersonalinjuryordeath andequipmentdamage,wrapachainaroundonelegofthe frameandonelegoftheyoke.Securethechaininan appropriatemanner.
PreparationforWelding
Personalinjurycanresultfromhydraulicoilpressureandhot oil.
Hydraulicoilpressurecanremaininthehydraulicsystemafter theenginehasbeenstopped.Seriousinjurycanbecausedif thispressureisnotreleasedbeforeanyserviceisdoneonthe hydraulicsystem.
Makesurealloftheattachmentshavebeenlowered,oiliscool beforeremovinganycomponentsorlines.Removetheoilfiller caponlywhentheengineisstopped,andthefillercapiscool enoughtotouchwithyourbarehand.
Personalinjuryordeathcanresultfromfumes,gasesand ultravioletraysfromtheweldarc.
Weldingcancausefumes,burnskinandproduceultraviolet rays.
Keepyourheadoutofthefumes.Useventilation,exhaustatthe arc,orboth,tokeepfumesandgasesfromyourbreathingarea. Weareye,earandbodyprotectionbeforeworking.
