Brake Control Valve - Install

Note: Thoroughly clean the back of the brake control valve. Put a light coat of clean hydraulic oil on the back of the brake control valve.
1. Install the brake control valve. Install six bolts (3) in brake control valve (2).
2. Tighten six bolts (3) to the torque of 30 ± 4 N·m (24 ± 3 lb ft).

3. Install two brake cables (1) into brake control valve (2).
4. Install the floorplate.

Brake Control Valve - Assemble

1. Install plunger (2), spring (5), and spool (3) into brake control valve (1).
2. Install plug (4) and seal (6) into brake control valve (1).
Note: Repeat Steps 1 and 2 in order to install the other brake control valve spool.
3. Be sure that all of the internal parts of the brake control valve are thoroughly cleaned prior to the assembly. Put clean hydraulic oil on the components during the assembly.
4. Check the condition of the O-ring seal. If the O-ring seal is damaged, use a new O-ring seal for the replacement.

1. Tilt the bottom of the steering oil cooler inward. Install the oil cooler. Install two bolts (15). Connect hose assembly (14) and connect the elbow.

Tighten hoses (7). Connect hose assembly (6).
5. Install two bolts (3) at the bottom of cooler core (2).
6. Install crossbar (1). Install two bolts (5) on each side.
7. Install two nuts, two bolts (4), and the clamps.

Steering Oil Cooler - Remove

Removal Procedure

1. Use the following procedure to release the pressure in the hydraulic system:
a. Shut off the engine.
b. Move the control lever through the full travel. This will relieve any pressure that may be present in the pilot system.
c. Slowly loosen the breather cap on the hydraulic tank in order to release the pressure.
d. Tighten the breather cap on the hydraulic oil tank.
e. The pressure in the hydraulic system has now been released. Lines and components can now be removed.
Note: Cap all the lines and plug all the lines after disassembly. Identify each line for assembly purposes.
2. Remove the bolts and open the radiator grill. Use the stops in order to keep the grill open.

3. Remove two nuts, bolts (4), and the clamps.
4. Remove two bolts (5) on each side. Remove crossbar (1).
5. Remove two bolts (3) at the bottom of cooler core (2).

6. Disconnect hose assembly (6). Loosen hoses (7) and position the hoses out of the way.

7. Remove three bolts (8) and shield (9).

8. Disconnect hose assembly (10) and elbow (11).

9. Remove three screws (12). Leave the screw in place under the hose. Pivot cover (13) open for access.

10. Disconnect hose assembly (14) and remove the elbow. Remove two bolts (15). Tilt the bottom of the steering oil cooler. Remove the steering oil cooler.

2. Install O-ring seal (15), plate (16), and seal assembly (17) behind the plate. Install the brass side of plate toward the gears.
3. Install studs (14) if the studs were removed. Tighten the studs to a torque of 40 ± 7 N·m (30 ± 5 lb ft).

4. Install locating pins (13) on both sides of body assembly (10), if the assembly was removed.
