MaintenanceIntervals
Usetheservicehourmetertodetermineservicingintervals.Calendarintervalsshown(daily,weekly, monthly,etc.)canbeusedinsteadofservicehourmeterintervalsiftheyprovidemoreconvenient servicingschedulesandapproximatetheindicatedservicehourmeterreading.Recommendedservice shouldalwaysbeperformedattheintervalthatoccursfirst.Underextremelysevere,dusty,orwet operatingconditions,morefrequentlubricationthanisspecifiedinthemaintenanceintervalschartmight benecessary.Performserviceonitemsatmultiplesoftheoriginalrequirement.Forexample,atevery 500servicehoursor3months,alsoservicethoseitemslistedunderevery250servicehoursormonthly andevery10servicehoursordaily.

Scan
ToinitiatetheScanfunction,shortpresstheSCAN/ASCNbutton.WhenSCANisinitiated,theradio seeksupinfrequencyandstopsonthenextstrongfrequencyfor8secondsbeforecontinuingtoseekfor thenextstrongstation.
Ifnostationisfoundintwopassesthroughtheband,theradiowilldisplay“NOSTATIONFOUND”and thentunetothestartingfrequency.
Autoscan
Thisfunctiontemporallystoresthestrongest6stationsofthecurrentbandinthepresetsuntiltheradiois poweredofforthesourceischanged.
AUTOSCANdoesnotstorethefrequenciesonthepresetsonnumericalorder.Frequenciesarestored basedontheordertheywerefoundandonthequalityofthefrequency.
ToinitiatetheAUTOSCANfunction,longpresstheSCAN/ASCANbuttonuntiltheradioperformsa beep.Thenthe"AUTOSCAN"iconwillblinkwhiletheradioisstoringthetemporarypresets.
WhentheAutoscanprocessfinishes,theradiowilltunetothestationstoredinPreset1andthe"AUTO SCAN"iconshallbeilluminatedwhilethemodeisactive.
Totuneanyofthe6frequenciesortostorenewpresets,followthestepsdefinedinthePresetssection.

Duringthediscoverablemode,setyourcellphonetoaddaBluetoothdeviceandlookforthename "DEA500RADIO":
•Followtheinstructionsonyourphonetoaddaconnection.Whennecessary,usethe4-numberPIN 0000toconnecttotheradio.
•Whenthecellphonehasbeensuccessfullyadded,theradiowilldisplayPHCONNECTEDand thentheBluetoothdevicename.ThePhoneIconwillbeactiveonthedisplayandthearrowswill bedisabled.
•Whentheradioconnects,theBluetoothiconwillblink.Theblinkingiconsignifiesthatthereceiver isattemptingtodownloadthecellphonesCONTACTS(fortheDIALCONTACTSfunction).The iconwillceasetoblinkifallcontactshavebeendownloadedoriftheradiotimesoutfrom receivingcontactsfromthecellphone.Seeyourphonesuserguideformoreinformation.

DisconnectingaDevice
Ifyourdeviceisconnectedandyourequireddisconnectingitfromtheradio,followthenextactions:
1.PressthePhonebuttonformorethan3seconds.TheBluetoothMenuwillbeshown.
2.RotatetheVolumeKnobuntilthedisplayshowsDISCONNECTPH.
3.Presstheknobtoconfirmtheaction.TheradiowillshowDISCONNECTPHforashorttime. Once,thePhoneisdisconnectedtheradiowilldisplayDISCONNECTEDandthentheBluetooth devicename.ThePhoneIconwillbeinactive.
DeletingoneorallDevices
Todeleteadevicefromtheradio,oneoralldevicespreviouslypaired:
1.PressthePhonebuttonformorethan3seconds.TheBluetoothMenuwillbeshown.
2.RotatetheVolumeKnobuntilthedisplayshowsDELETEPH.
3.Presstheknobtoenterthesubmenu.
4.Theradiowillshowadevicelist(navigatethroughitbyrotatingtheknob).Selectthedevicetobe deletedorselectDELETEALLtoeraseallthepaireddevicesinthelistbypressingtheVolume Knob.TheradiowillshowPHDELETED.
HandsFree/BluetoothFeatures
Onceyourdeviceisproperlypaired(seeParingaBluetoothDevice)andconnected(seeConnectinga Device),theradiosupportsthefollowingHandsFreefeaturesiftheconnecteddevicehashandsfree functionality.
DialMenu
Theradiocanretrievethelastcallsandcontactinformationfromthedevice(HandsFreeprofilemustbe availableinthedeviceandsometimestheactionmustbeacceptedbytheuser).
ThedialmenuisaccessedwhenthedeviceisnotinacallandthePhonebuttonispressed.
Dial/Redial
Theusercanretrievethelastphonenumbercalledandplaceacall.PressthePhonebuttonandthelast phonenumbercalledwillbedialed.
QuickDial
Theradiocanstorephonenumbersinanyoftheavailablepresetbuttons.
Tosaveaphonenumber,youcanselectthecontactusingeithertheDIALCONTACTSfeatureorthe LASTCALLSfeature.Whenthedesiredcontactphonenumberisdisplayed,pressandholdanyofthe PRESETbuttonsuntilyouhearabeepconfirmingthephonenumberhasbeensaved.
Todialasavedphonenumber,selectQUICKDIALfromthemenuandrotatetheknobtoselectthe appropriatePRESETnumber.Presstheknobtoplaceacalltosavedphonenumber.
Tochangepresetssimplyrepeattheprocesswiththedesiredphonenumber.Presetsareoverwritten.
DialContact
Theradioisabletoreadanddisplaycellphonecontacts.PressthePhonebuttontoshowtheDIAL MENUandrotatetheknobuntilDIALCONTACTSisshown,presstheknobtoselectthisfeature. Rotatetheknobtoselectbetweenthedifferentstoredcontacts(upto500numbersfromthephoneand 250contactsfromtheSIM).PresstheOKbuttonifyouwanttodialtothelistedcontact.
Theradiowilldownloadthefollowingphonenumbersfromeachcontact(ifavailable):HOME,WORK, MOBILE,OTHER,andPREFERRED.Withinthemenuphonenumberswillbedisplayedaseither:H, W,M,O,orPplusthe10-digitnumber(XXXXXXXXXX).
Whenthetransferissuccessful,theradiowillshowtheDIALCONTACTSsubmenu.Eachtimetheradio connectstoyourphone,theDIALCONTACTSsubmenuisupdated,soyoumayneedtorepeatthis manualoperationasneeded.
LastCalls
Theradioiscapableoflistingthelast10calls(DIALED,RECEIVEDANDMISSED).Rotatingtheknob willnavigatetheuserthroughtheselectedcalllist.PresstheOKbuttontoplacethecall.

Whenanincomingcallisreceived,theradiowillplaytheinbangringtoneifthedevicesupportsthis feature,otherwiseadefaultringtonewillbeplayed,theusercanadjusttheVolumeoftheringtone,while
theringtoneisplayed.Anyvolumelowerthan13,willnotbeconsideredforthenextincomingcall. Volumeabove13willbestoredforthenextcall.
Whenanincomingcallisreceived,theradiowilldisplaythename(ifavailable)andnumberofthecaller. Toacceptthecall,pressanyofthefollowingradiobuttons:Phone,Knob,orNEXT.
RejectingaCall
Whenanincomingcallisreceived,theradiowilldisplaythename(ifavailable)andnumberofthecaller. Torejectthecall,pressanyofthefollowingradiobuttons:ESCorPREV.
EndingaCall
WhenaHandsFreecallisinprogress,theradiowilldisplaythecallersnumberandtheelapsedtime.To endacall,pressanyofthefollowingradiobuttons:Phone,ESC,orPREV.
MicrophoneMute
