Air Cleaner - Remove and Install SMCS - 1051-010
Removal Procedure
Hot engine components can cause injury from burns. Before performing maintenance on the engine, allow the engine and the components to cool.
1. Open the hood. 2. Turn the disconnect switch to the OFF position.

6. Loosen clamp (4) from tube (5) . 7. Loosen clamp (6) and remove tube (9) from housing (8) . 8. Remove bolts (7) and remove housing (8) .
Installation Procedure

1. Install housing (8) and bolts (7) . 2. Install tube (9) to housing (8) and tighten clamp (6) .

Alternator - Remove and Install SMCS - 1405-010
Removal Procedure

1. Open the hood. 2. Turn the disconnect switch to the OFF position.

3. Remove bolts (2) and guard (1) .

4. Remove the nut and disconnect harness assembly (3) from alternator (4) .

5. Disconnect harness assembly (5) from alternator (4) .

6. Loosen bolt (6) and bolt (8) and remove V-belt (7) . 7. Remove bolt (6), bolt (8), and alternator (4) .
Installation Procedure

1. Install alternator (4). Install bolt (8) and bolt (6) loosely. 2. Install V-belt (7). Adjust the V-belt to the proper tension and tighten bolt (6) and bolt (8). Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual for the correct procedure.

3. Connect harness assembly (5) to alternator (4) .

1. Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to engine (18). The weight of engine (18) is approximately 635 kg (1400 lb). 2. Install engine (18) . 3. Install bolts (20) and (19) . 4. Install the bolt, the washers, and nut (21). Remove Tooling (A) from engine (18) .
