Removal Procedure
1. Move the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position.

Blower Motor - Remove and Install

Removal Procedure
Start By:
a. Remove the cover (cab rear). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly , "Cover (Cab Rear) Remove".
1. Move the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position.

2. Remove bolt (1). Position dryer (2) out of the way.

3. Remove screws (3). Remove duct (4).

4. Remove screws (5). Remove case (6).

5. Remove screws (8). Position plate (9) out of the way. Remove blower motor (7).

6. Remove gasket (11). Disconnect harness assembly (10). Remove blower motor (7).
Installation Procedure

1. Install gasket (11). Install blower motor (7). Connect harness assembly (10).

2. Position plate (9). Install screws (8).

Install case (6). Install screws (5).

4. Install duct (4). Install screws (3).
5. Position dryer (2). Install bolt (1).
6. Move the battery disconnect Switch to the ON position.
End By:
a. Install the cover (cab rear). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly , "Cover (Cab Rear) Install ".

Installation Procedure Table 1
Required Tools
Personal injury or death can result from improper lifting or blocking.
When a hoist or jack is used to lift any part or component, stand clear of the area. Be sure the hoist or jack has the correct capacity to lift a component. Install blocks or stands before performance of any work under a heavy component.
Approximate weights of the components are shown. Clean all surfaces where parts are to be installed.
Note: Park the machine on a smooth, level surface before you perform any operations.
1. Inspect the sleeve bearings in the frame assembly for wear or for damage. Replace the sleeve bearings, if necessary.

2. Position a suitable lifting sling on body assembly (1). Secure the suitable lifting device to a hoist. Position body assembly (1) on the frame assembly, as shown. The weight of the body assembly is approximately 22080 kg (48685 lb).

Note: Thrust washer (18) is located between the outside of frame assembly (16) and body assembly (1), as shown. Use the four millimeter thrust washer only if the six millimeter thrust washer will not fit in both places.
3. Insert pin assembly (17) through body assembly (1), thrust washer (18), and frame assembly (16).

4. Position plate (15) on body assembly (1). Install two bolts (14) and the hard washers that hold plate (15) in position.
5. Repeat Step 3 and Step 4 for the remaining pin assembly.

6. Position bracket (11) and magnet (12) as an assembly on the body assembly. Install two bolts (13) and the hard washers that hold bracket (11) to the body assembly.
7. Align magnet (12) with the electronic control. Refer to Hydraulic System, System Operation, Testing and Adjusting, "Electronic Control (Body Down or Up Switch)Adjust".

8. Position a suitable lifting sling around the head end of hoist cylinder (7), as shown. Attach Tool (A) to the suitable lifting sling. Secure Tool (A) to the frame assembly. Use Tool (A) in order to raise the head end of hoist cylinder (7) into position, as shown. Install Tool (B) in order to align the bearing in the hoist cylinder with the holes in body assembly (1).
Note: Tool (B) has a smaller diameter than the pin that is used to hold the head end of hoist cylinder (7) to the body assembly.

9. Position a spacer (not shown) on both sides of the bearing in hoist cylinder (7) inside body assembly (1). Install pin (10) through body assembly (1) and into the head end of the hoist cylinder, as shown. This will remove Tool (B) from the bearing. Make sure that the spacers are correctly positioned on pin (10).
Note: Insert pin (10) with the notch upward.
10. Position plate (9) on pin (10). Install two bolts (8) and the hard washers that hold plate (9) to body assembly (1).
11. Repeat Step 8 through Step 10 for the remaining hoist cylinder.

12. Use two people in order to position rock ejector assembly (4), as shown. The weight of the rock ejector assembly is 39 kg (86 lb). Install pin (5), eight washers (2), and cotter pin (3) that holds rock ejector assembly (4) to mounting bracket (6).
13. Repeat Step 12 for the remaining rock ejector assembly.
End By:
a. Remove the wheel chocks. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Wheel Chock (Front and Rear) - Remove and Install".

2. Remove cotter pin (3), pin (5), and eight washers (2) from mounting bracket (6). Use two people to remove rock ejector assembly (4). The weight of the rock ejector assembly is 39 kg (86 lb).
3. Repeat Step 2 for the remaining rock ejector assembly.

4. Position a suitable lifting sling around the head end of hoist cylinder (7). Attach the suitable lifting sling to Tool (A). Use Tool (A) to secure the head end of the hoist cylinder to the frame assembly.

5. Remove two bolts (8) and the hard washers that hold plate (8) in position. Remove plate (8) from body assembly (1) and from pin (10).

6. Install Tooling (B) on pin (10), as shown. Use Tooling (B) to remove pin (10) and two spacers.

7. Use Tool (A) to lower hoist cylinder (7) onto the rear tire. Remove Tool (A).
8. Repeat Step 4 through Step 7 for the remaining hoist cylinder.

9. Remove two bolts (13) and the hard washers that hold bracket (11) to the body assembly. Remove bracket (11) and magnet (12) as an assembly from the body assembly.

10. Remove two bolts (14) and the hard washers that hold plate (15) in position. Remove plate (15) from body assembly (1).

11. Use Tool (C) to remove pin assembly (17) and the thrust washer from the body assembly and from frame assembly (16).
12. Repeat Step 10 and Step 11 for the remaining pin assembly.

13. Remove body assembly (1) from the machine. The weight of the body assembly is approximately 22080 kg (48685 lb).
