Aftercooler - Remove and Install

Removal Procedure
1. Open the hood.

2. Disconnect hoses (1) .

3. Attach a suitable lifting device to aftercooler (2). The weight of aftercooler (2) is approximately 30 kg (65 lb). Remove bolts (3) from each side of aftercooler (2). Remove aftercooler (2) .

1. Install fan guard (21) onto support (10) . Install bolts (33) , the washers, and the spacers. Install bolts (34) and the washers.

2. Install adapter (32) . Install washer (31) and locknut (30) onto gear motor (9) .Tighten locknut (30) to a torque of 55 ±5 N·m (40 ± 5 lb ft).

3. Position gear motor (9) and install bolts (29) and the washers that secure gear motor (9) to support (10) .

4. Install spider assembly (20 ) and bolts (28) .

5. Install mounts (27) to support (10) .

6. Install four foam strips (26) .

7. Install shroud (22) onto aftercooler (4) . Install plate (24) and baffle (23) . Install bolts (25) , the washers, the spacers, and the nuts.

8. Attach a suitable lifting device to support (10) . Carefully lift support (10) with gear motor (9) , fan guard (21) , and () fan spider assembly (20) onto aftercooler (4) .

9. Install bolts (19) , the large washers, and the small washers.

10. Attach a suitable lifting device to aftercooler (4) . The weight of aftercooler (4) isapproximately 70 kg (154 lb). Install aftercooler (4) .

11. Position harness assembly (18) and clip (17) . Position harness assembly (15) and clip (14) . Install six bolts (16) and the washersthat secure support (10) to the frame.

12. Position transmission oil filter assembly (12) . Install bolts(11) . Install bolt (13) .

13. Connect hose assemblies(8) to gear motor (9) .

14. Install hoses (6) and tube (7) to aftercooler (4) and the turbocharger. Tighten clamps (5) .

15. Install two hose assemblies(2) and tube (3) to aftercooler (4) and the engine. Tighten clamps (1) .
