NOTICE

Foranytypeofleak(coolant,lube,orfuel)cleanupthefluid.If leakingisobserved,findthesourceandcorrecttheleak.If leakingissuspected,checkthefluidlevelsmoreoftenthan recommendeduntiltheleakisfoundorfixed,oruntilthe suspicionofaleakisprovedtobeunwarranted.

Accumulatedgreaseand/oroilonanengineordeckisafire hazard.Removethisdebriswithsteamcleaningorhigh pressurewater.

Note: NOTICE

Waterand/orcondensationcancausedamagetoelectrical components.Protectallelectricalcomponentsfromexposure towater.

Avoidcontactwithhotsurfaces.Exhaustpipingandengine componentsbecomehotduringengineoperationandcool slowlyafterengineshutdown.Anycontactwithhotsurfacescan causesevereburns.

NOTICE

Turbochargerbearingfailurescancauselargequantitiesofoil toentertheairinletandexhaustsystems.Lossofengine lubricantcanresultinseriousenginedamage.

Minorleakageofaturbochargerhousingunderextendedlow idleoperationshouldnotcauseproblemsaslongasa turbochargerbearingfailurehasnotoccurred.

Whenaturbochargerbearingfailureisaccompaniedbya significantengineperformanceloss(exhaustsmokeorengine rpmupatnoload),donotcontinueengineoperationuntilthe turbochargerisrepairedorreplaced.

InspecttheExhaustBypass

PressurizedSystem:Hotcoolantcancauseseriousburns.To openthecoolingsystemfillercap,stoptheengineandwaituntil thecoolingsystemcomponentsarecool.Loosenthecooling systempressurecapslowlyinordertorelievethepressure.

Alwaysuseaboardorcardboardwhencheckingforaleak. Escapingairorfluidunderpressure,evenapin-holesizeleak, canpenetratebodytissuecausingseriousinjury,andpossible death.

Iffluidisinjectedintoyourskin,itmustbetreatedimmediately byadoctorfamiliarwiththistypeofinjury.
