Installation Procedure
1. Tilt the radiator. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Radiator Tilting".

2. Position air cleaner (4) and install bolts (3). Connect hoses (1) and (5). Connect harness assembly (2) .

A. Disconnect the battery. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Battery and Battery CableSeparate and Connect".
Note: The muffler has been removed for clarity.

1. Remove bolts (1A) and screws(1) . Remove cover (2) .

2. Disconnect harnessassembly (3) . Raise the boot and disconnect harnessassembly (4) .

3. Loosen bolts (5) and (8) . Remove belt (6) and remove alternator (7) .

1. Install alternator (7) . Install belt (6) . Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "BeltInspect/Adjust/Replace" for more information. Tighten bolts(5) and (8) .

2. Connect harness assembly (3) . Raise the boot and connect harnessassembly (4) .

3. Install cover (2) and install screws(1) . Tighten screws(1) to a torque of 6 ±1 N·m (53 ± 9 lb in).
4. Install bolts (1A) . Tighten bolts (1A) to a torque of 15 ± 3 N·m (11 ± 2 lb ft).
End By: Connect the battery. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Battery and Battery CableSeparate and Connect".

1. Disconnect negative battery cable (4) .
2. Disconnect positive battery cable (1) .
3. Remove bolts (2) and (6). Remove clamp (3) and remove battery (5). The weight of the battery is approximately 18 kg (40 lb).

Procedure to Tilt the Cab
Start By:
-19/04/2011
A. Release the hydraulic system pressure. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Hydraulic System Pressure - Release".
Do not go beneath cab unlesscab isempty and support lever is engaged.
Failure to follow the instructionsor heed the warnings could result in injury or death.
Note: Empty the water tank (if equipped) before you tilt the cab.

1. Loosen bolt (1)

2. Remove nut (2) and large washer (3) from the inside of the cab.
3. Repeat Steps 1 and 2 on the opposite side of the cab.

4. Raise cab (4) .

1. Tilt the cab upward.

4. Align bolt (1)

Note: Ensure that the large washer isbetween the nut and the rubber mounting.
5. Install large washer (3) and nut (2) from the inside of the cab. Tighten the nuts to a torque of 125 ± 10 N·m (92 ± 7 lb ft).
6. Repeat Steps 4 and 5 on the opposite side of the cab.

1. Attach Tooling (C) , Tooling (D) , Tooling (E) , and a suitable lifting device to engine (28) . The approximate weight of engine (28) is 320 kg (700 lb). Remove both brackets(31) that are used for mounting the engine.
2. Install the engine. Install the engine far enough so that ground strap (30) can be connected. Connect ground strap (30) and install the nut and washer (30A) . Reposition brackets(31) onto the machine and install bolts (27) . Install bolt (29) . Tighten bolt (29) to a torque of 90 ± 10 N·m (66 ± 7 lb ft).

3. Install two bolts (26) by using Tooling (C) .
