Air Cleaner - Remove and Install SMCS - 1051-010
Removal Procedure 1. Tilt the radiator. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Radiator Tilting".

2. Disconnect harness assembly (2). Disconnect hoses (1) and (5). Remove bolts (3) and air cleaner (4) .
Installation Procedure 1. Tilt the radiator. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Radiator Tilting".

2. Position air cleaner (4) and install bolts (3). Connect hoses (1) and (5). Connect harness assembly (2) . 3. Tilt the radiator back to the original position. Alternator - Remove and Install SMCS - 1405-010 S/N - HEN1-UP S/N - PAT1-UP S/N - PDT1-UP S/N - SCP1-UP
Removal Procedure Start By: A. Disconnect the battery. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Battery and Battery Cable Separate and Connect". Note: The muffler has been removed for clarity.

2. Disconnect harness assembly (3) . Raise the boot and disconnect harness assembly (4) .

3. Loosen bolts (5) and (8) . Remove belt (6) and remove alternator (7) .

1. Install alternator (7) . Install belt (6) . Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Belt Inspect/Adjust/Replace" for more information. Tighten bolts (5) and (8) .

2. Connect harness assembly (3) . Raise the boot and connect harness assembly (4) .

3. Install cover (2) and install screws (1) . Tighten screws (1) to a torque of 6 ± 1 N·m (53 ± 9 lb in). 4. Install bolts (1A) . Tighten bolts (1A) to a torque of 15 ± 3 N·m (11 ± 2 lb ft). 1. Disconnect negative battery cable (4) . 2. Disconnect positive battery cable (1) . 3. Remove bolts (2) and (6). Remove clamp (3) and remove battery (5). The weight of the battery is approximately 18 kg (40 lb).

Cab - Tilt SMCS - 7301-084 S/N - HEN1-UP S/N - PAT1-UP S/N - PDT1-UP S/N - SCP1-UP
Procedure to Tilt the Cab Start By: A. Release the hydraulic system pressure. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Hydraulic System Pressure - Release".
Do not go beneath cab unless cab is empty and support lever is engaged. Failure to follow the instructions or heed the warnings could result in injury or death.
Note: Empty the water tank (if equipped) before you tilt the cab.

1. Loosen bolt (1) . Note: Bolt (1) will be retained in the cab.

2. Remove nut (2) and large washer (3) from the inside of the cab. 3. Repeat Steps 1 and 2 on the opposite side of the cab.

Note: Ensure that the large washer is between the nut and the rubber mounting. 5. Install large washer (3) and nut (2) from the inside of the cab. 1. Attach Tooling (C) , Tooling (D) , Tooling (E) , and a suitable lifting device to engine (28) . The approximate weight of engine (28) is 320 kg (700 lb). Remove both brackets (31) that are used for mounting the engine. 2. Install the engine. Install the engine far enough so that ground strap (30) can be connected. Connect ground strap (30) and install the nut and washer (30A) . Reposition brackets (31) onto the machine and install bolts (27) . Install bolt (29) . Tighten bolt (29) to a torque of 90 ± 10 N·m (66 ± 7 lb ft).

3. Install two bolts (26) by using Tooling (C) .

4. Remove the suitable lifting device from pump (25) . Remove Tooling (A) and Tooling (B) .
