Foreword Read and understand the safety instructions in the Operator's Manual and Service Information for the machine. The Installation Instruction sometimes refers to information in the Operator's and Service Manual. The equipment must be assembled by an authorized person at an authorized workshop. The Installation Instruction is based on the use of special tools, E-tools and standard tools generally available. For tightening torques not specified here, refer toVolvo standard tightening torques. Volvo Construction Equipment AB, will accept no responsibility if other tools or work methods than those described in this publication are used. Volvo works with continuous improvement of the machine's environmental performance. NOTE! This kit is designed for machines manufactured after the serial numbers in accordance with the profile information above. This kit can only be retrofitted on machines equipped with Co-Pilot ART Option no. 11371862, 11371977 NOTE! Before installing the tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), make sure that the tyres have the correct tyre pressure, see Operator's Manual, Tyre dimensions and air pressure, or check the recommendations for the tyre manufacturer.

Preparation 1. Check that all the parts correspond to the Kit list. 2. Connect Tech Tool Service Tool to the network. Select Administrate New Software. Enter Chassis ID, select accessory kit and enter number 11721798. It is not necessary to connect Tech Tool to the machine. The central system is now updated in order to allow the download of the TPMS Application. Run an OTA software update. Verify that the TPMS Application has been installed and that the application is visible in Action centre. If the accessory kit does not download the software automatically, check whether an update can be ordered. If newer software is available, the software download will start immediately. If newer software is not available, a message will be shown with the information that no newer software is available. If newer software is not available, select to download existing software that is already installed in the machine.
Installation inside the cab 3. Park the machine in service position, see Service Manual Service positions. 4. Disconnect the current using the service switch, see Service Manual Battery, disconnecting and connecting 5. Loosen and remove the bolts for the side panel on the cab's left-hand centre pillar.

10. Remove the electrical socket for 12V in the headlining (inner roof).

11. Remove all plugs and lower the headlining (inner roof).

12. Press the pre-punched cable leadthrough in the rear right-hand corner of the cab immediately under the roof of the cab.

13. Install the cable harness on the rear right-hand inside of the cab across the headlining (inner roof) between connector CT and the cable leadthrough CS in the cab wall, opposite where the electronic unit “TPMS” should be located.

14. Lock the inner cable harness connector CS that is routed through the cab wall using an adapter from the outside of the cab.

Installation of sensor The installation and configuration of sensors can be carried out in two ways, see Service Manual. Tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), installing. NOTE! The sensors must be tightened using firm manual force. Do not use any tools. 28. Remove the protective cap from the air valve that is fitted on the rim and, depending on the method to be used for calibration, install the sensor on all wheels in accordance with the instructions, see Service Manual. Tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), installing.

29. Connect the current using the service switch, see Service Manual Battery, disconnecting and connecting 30. Restore the machine from service position. NOTE! When the equipment has been installed it must be reported to central systems for machine cards in accordance with the established procedure. It is important to do this so that the machine's configuration is up-to-date and is shown correctly in the aftermarket systems.
