EMOTIONS
During my interview with Jaylen I had the opportunity to see inside the mind of a gamer. What I was not expecting was how relaxed and content the games made him feel throughout his hectic schedule. Though there are times where he feels the need to quit out of rage.
EQUIPMENT
When it came to discussing the equipment he uses, there was more variety with screens than anything. From laptops to phones to his X-BOX there was not a screen he wouldn’t play. Besides that he has two controllers, one red and one black, and two pairs of black headphones for multiplayer.
CONNECTIONS
When recalling his experiences when gaming, he remembered this one instance in 2016 when playing Overwatch for the first time. He managed to interact with multiple people he had never dreamed of meeting, all because of the excitement from this one game.
INSPIRATION
When feeling inspired, depending on the graphics in game, sometimes Jaylen takes those styles and tries to immulate them into his own animation style. Known to be very connected with animation, there can be instances where different styles are attempted in hopes of learning all there is to know about animation and video games.
PHRASES
While there is a lot of jargon during the gaming experience, two I found to be most prevelent are “gg” and KDA”. “GG” is said to stand for “good game” in a sly attempt to show sportsmanship without being excessive. “KDA” is “kills-deathsassists” which are your stats for in game play, which determine your rank.
