In addition, thoseregularcampersalso learn the insand outs of how the camp is run. But regardless, whether it’s along-time camper or anew candidate, becoming a “counselorintraining” is avaluablelifeexperience.

These work experiencescan help yourteenager build their resume, aswell as contribute to thoseall-important college applications. In addition, they often involve a lotoftime outdoors andexerting themselves in physical activity, whichcan addto overall health.
These summercampexperiences also help teach your teens problem-solving skills with their younger peers, encourage responsibility, and independence.Yet another greatside productofthe C.I.T. experience is it develops meaningful relationships with supervisorsand camp managers whocan serve as mentors andimportant character references.

Forteens, thebenefits of being aC.I.T. are physical, emotional, academic, and educational. But especially in cases where teens continue their yearsofattending a beloved camp by becoming counselorsintraining, they gettomakethat experience just as specialfor the next generation.
